The one I tried didn't have forums, didn't have instant messaging, and you couldn't tell who had you on their favorites list---that's just a few of the things I like about this site.

Has anyone ever heard of a Lavalife Get Together? I haven't.
People on POF seem to be proud to be with this site and they do things together and meet new people for doing everything. Not just Sex, or Marriage.
On a pay site, you dont keep comunications with someone that doesnt fit what you are looking for, because it costs too much. But on POF, you can. And maybe that person turns out to be the person you were looking for afterall.

I suppose technically, if I met men at a bar, I'm paying for my drinks. Or at grocery stores, I'm paying for my groceries, but that's not really the same.

I think there are actually a lot of people that just come here for the forums and maybe just to meet some new people. There are two many other free sites that provide that just here, you know a lot of people are actually single (well some anyway).
I have been here for sometime and have yet to get that female equivalent of SHWING! when a guy has messaged me. I almost find that sometimes though that you get so many messages from guys you aren't interested in that you get kind of ummm wore down by it and stop really looking for anyone really interesting.
So basically, I'm no further ahead but have found something else to suck away my time. | |
