Well. All my photos were taken between last December and 3 weeks ago.. One right after 12 hours standing on my feet, one first thing in the morning when my grand daughter was way more important than brushing my teeth or fixing my hair, one in the middle of a hazelnut allergy reaction, one at breakfast after a week of way too much time spent at work.

The thing about getting older.. you either let your age get to you, or you don't. If you don't, then you really don't care what people think about the pictures you pick to post..

I hate this OLDER PERSON STUFF!~ when i come to this forum, over 45 , its like we should all be dead for god's sake! I am just starting to live and I am moving on with life! Photos , be real, be you , but try to be your best! I am happy with who i am , some pics are better than others, and honestly I would only post flattering ones! Come on, live a little and lighten up, we are over 45 , we aren't dead!

"you're on candid camera' hahahha (yes we are old enough to remember that!)

It's hard to put a photo on for me because I don't look 25 anymore. I wish we could put pics on that look like what is in our hearts. Silly I suppose.

Interesting read...I am of the opinion that everyone should do what they are comfortable with. I have a photo that is a couple years old and some very very recent ones...in all it is still me..a little older, a little heavier and a lot grayer but still me:) As the wise man Popeye once said "I yam what I yam"...but the physical is only a part of the whole...you either connect or you don't..simple enough..but I do think that sometime during your emailing/talking you should let the other person know what you look like today. And the complaints about boobs and legs..personally I like people who are comfortable with themselves and showing a little sexy side is not a bad thing.

My pics are a few weeks old.
I believe in being up front and honest.
In pics as well as profile.
I want someone who wants to be with me for who I am now and not what I was 5, 10, 15 years ago.

i would just like to point out that i am what i am and
proud of it.

So, sum, where is your photo so we can see what you are? More and more what I am seeing is people claiming to be proud of how they look but not posting a photo for all to see. What's with that?

My profile photos are recent, but I reckon I need to change that facial shot. I got told that (a) it makes me look OLDER [!!!!!] and (b) the hairdresser had to blow dry my hair extensively to make it look straight, so my curly hair is not obvious. Besides, I finally have more hair now, so it may be time to update. and those that are right, are right. We are what we are, and if we turn on that cam or we show up for coffee, it ain't as if they will not notice!!!

Me too! Why would anyone really want to represent themself as what they no longer are? I know I have grown older but I hope with the years I have also developed a bit more self assurance, a lot more serenity, and a whole lot more wisdom, and I hope it shows in my picture, if not then I guess I need to take a more recent one

My pictures are fairly recent, I believe they were taken in either April or May. I post my picture because I try to represent to others who I am. I say Im of average weight, because there is no place to say slightly chubby. I've been told that Im homely, fat and ugly by some on here, that is ok because I know not all are going to like me. The important thing is that I like who I am, at this age, and that is why I post pictures of what I look like now.

Smowey, if people tell you that you are homely, they are probably just upset because you have rejected them. You are a pretty woman, so just dont listen to the losers who insist on hurting other people's feeling. It is great that you are happy who you are.

My sentiments, exactly, Claudia. Smowey, you are very cute and attractive. The losers who either try to insult or "fix" others, are either not happy with themselves where they're at, and are afraid of not being quite what they once were... or they're greasy, scruffy characters with an outlook that can't get them a date if their lives depended on it, so they focus on the centrefolds and trash every other type of female they come across... Just ignore them and keep being you!

IAM NEW ON HERE. AND I WAS TALKING TO A GUY LAST NIGHT HE WAS VERY GOOD LOOKING AND SEXY. HE GOT PICKED FOR 1 OF THE TOP 20. WELL I WAS TALKING TO HIM I SENT HIM A PICTURE OF ME SO HE SENT ME A PICTURE. AND IT DIDNT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE THAT HE POSTED. I ASK HIM WHO THAT MAN WAS, AND HE SAID ME. I TOLD HIM THAT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE HIS OTHER PIC. HE LOOKED ALOT OLDER AND NOT IN GOOD SHAPE AS THE ONE POSTED. I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. HE SAID OH I AIRBRUSHED IT. HE WAS BRAGING ON HOW MANY PEOPLE VOTED ON HIM. IAM SORRY BUT YOU SHOULD POST A PICTURE THAT IS UP DATED. THAT IS LIEING TO PEOPLE AND TO YOUR SELF. MINE ARE UP DATED, AND IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY AT LEAST TELL THE PEOPLE YOU ARE OLDER AND HEAVIER NOW. BE HONEST PEOPLE..................THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.

Quite a lengthy discussion on this topic.... and I wonder why? Is it because our own personal appearance is such a sensitive subject? Does it feel as though we are exposing ourselves for the world to view and judge? Do men feel as concerned over the issue (their appearance) as women?

I have read quite a number of men’s profiles who have said things such as 'Not interested in women who have 'few extra pounds' in their profiles…. Do women say similar things in their profiles? Here's my thought on that subject. These people are entitled to feel that way.. I have my standards too (like everyone else) however, when people publicly display their thoughts in such an insensitive manner I feel they are letting themselves down and showing their true character. That's very unattractive.

Are we really talking about 'older' photos or are we discussing something else here?

Let’s not forget… people can misrepresent themselves in more ways than one.

I always find it interesting when people won’t send or post a photo. That’s unfair and in my opinion it’s the first red flag and my interest in that person is lost.
