Posted By: auburntop on 10/1/2006 9 23 PM Subject: I'll call ya later Message: A man is a man wherever he may be...Some of these guys end up contacting a lot of women at one time. they start getting confused, they take it as shopping for a car. They all look the same after a while. When they make their first mistake, they just run.....then it cools off, they are back. When women seek those possibilities, it's like shopping for expensive furniture, you buy it, you try it, you bring it home, it don't fit in. There are too many man out there who think women are just gullible. They will tell you anything they think you will believe, and even a few things you won't.
Could you post anything more sexist? If that is what you expect from men, that is all you will ever find because you go into every new relationship expecting those things to happen.
I get so sick of seeing the women on these forums constantly posting negative comments about men, and then wondering why decent men never contact them. It's because when a decent guy sees a comment like yours, they automatically view you as damaged goods that is going to have a bunch of issues to deal with.
Treat people as individuals, not as stereotypes. You'll be amazed at how you get treated in return.

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 7/6/2007 2:27:09 PM | I have also had the same experience.
But, in all honesty. You are on a dating site. People choose to talk to several potential mates in order to find out more then what is allready stated in the profiles. So, patience is the best i offer.
However, if he hasn't called within 3 days. Honey, move along. Time is to sweet to waste it.

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 7/10/2007 11:37:11 AM | | Wait till months go by and they don't call. I have had people not call me for months, then they send me roses and say they are sorry and will call, and now its been months again. It seems people on this site just want to email and instant message. go figure. | |

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 7/21/2007 12:03:11 PM | Yeah... it sucks and extremely frustrating. I set up a date with a woman who seemed nice enough... We said 'let's connect on the phone with the specifics.' I called her twice and left messages and she didn't return the calls. Where is the accountability? If I say I'm going to do something, I either do it or make a new agreement.

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 7/30/2007 7:37:34 PM | | POF is like an online single dance... the guys want to dance with as many girls as possible... It's a numbers game. You said the converstaion had promise? What kind of promise. A pleasant converation doesn't mean a date or acommittment. Be glad you exchanged email because many guys don't even do that... Who initiated the emails? I think that guys really like to be the agressor and if you come one too much too soon you loose them. My mother says hold your cards a little closer to your chest...LOL Good luck. | |

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 8/6/2007 9:24:40 AM | | Unfortunately this exists in real life too, not just on dating sites. I was recently the victim of "grass is greener" syndrome. I was with a man for almost a year, we were engaged and moved in together but when financial rough roads hit he started flirting online, then finally started sleeping with the woman across the hall and they moved out together. I accept that this is his flaw, that he couldn't accept a sweet, giving woman that cared about him. But it hurts all the same. So you pick yourself up and keep looking. Your mate is out there somewhere and when the time is right, you will find each other. | |

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 8/31/2007 6:28:32 PM | | I can relate, I did not realize that this is a big problem. I dont understand why Men/Woman can't be honest. If after a few dates and you do not feel your fit, then just be honest, heck we are all here for a reason, to find a life partner so of course we are going to want to find the best match for us. That is what it is all about. Heck all I wish is to have one man give me the chance to show them my loyalness and honesty. | |

| One minute your in, then your out... why????? Posted: 9/5/2007 10:35:56 PM | I figure something clicked in their heads and they were off in another direction...
When I talk to someone I ask myself... "are they really into me?" and if it's no then fine.. move on down the road!
