I have alopecia which means that my body hair has all fallen out and I do not feel at all like a sheep.
I'm quite sure he was referring to those of us who do not have a condition in which our body hair falls out. I agree that this obsession with shaving or waxing everything is driven by media and porn.
I prefer smooth and hairless to big bushes of death
Was it really nessesary to be that vulgar coming someone who never has to trim or shave? I mean, bushes of death? Really. | |

In any case, if my vote counts, whether you're man or woman, keep it trimmed short, clean up the sides and call it a day where the nether regions are concerned.
Women, shave the legs and armpits at least when you're going to bare them in public or in private. Covered up or alone and who really gives a damn?
Men, embrace the hair you have and do some manscaping - keep it short. Even freakishly long armpit hair is not sexy.
ooo and in case it has not been mentioned, ear hair is not sexy. nose hair is not sexy. stray mole hairs, again, not sexy, uni brows not sexy...you get the idea. (This goes for some women too I've seen).

Posted: 4/16/2008 1:06:24 AM | this is an old post, but I'm with ya :) I shave only when I feel like it, but it certainly isn't daily.. or weekly.. it's completely random, and just because I feel like it and usually more in the summer months, but I'm not afraid to walk out in public in shorts with hair on my legs.
I'm not one to follow social trends to banish my hair. I'm born with what I have. I shower. I groom, but I ain't doing ANYTHING for NO ONE. What ever happened to liking people for what they are? Its sexy to get rid of it, and hey: what's so special about something if you do it all the time??? nothing.
I go both ways. I think it's rather silly that a man wouldn't be with a woman if they don't shave, wax, trim, etc. and personally, I hope these men stay far far far away from me :)
as for today, its a shaved day of far and inbetween :) as spring has definitely sprung ;) | |

Anyway, after talking for awhile, and getting into the private parts of conversation..lol...he asks what I preferred shaved or trimmed as far as myself, he had already made me well aware he shaved every day, I never asked!!..now, When I finally answered him, without even asking the hows, or whys of it..he got an attitude about it..and we stopped all conversations after that for months.. I saw this as a blessing in disguise..
My Momma was from Norway descent.. and she rarely had to shave..he never asked.. I do have Irish blood also..so it's Wispy ... I am told..geesh..now is that vulgar..lol
We remain online friends though..Smile.. | |

I do trim my underarms because it makes everything a little less stinky. :) | |

i went out with a bloke he smelt like a whores handbag no offance lol . i told him i could not go out again cos of manfume smell he took offence said he liked to be clean

When I had breast cancer I lost all of my hair EVERYWHERE. Bald head was easy maintenence for awhile, but It is back and I like it. I like men with body hair also. Not really,really hairy though. I feel like they are a grown man too. lol Thanks for putting things so tastefully. | |

And use makeup (I am very fair & have a heavy glasses prescrip) & deoderant, cant believe some of the posters think you shouldnt wear deoderant! Worked with an East Indian doc that we swore did not even bathe let alone use deoderant. When the pts & families started to complain- & this was an ICU where people are SICK!- someone spoke to him & it got better.. for a while.
Not gonna worry that deoderant or underwire bras are causing breast cancer like mentioned way in the beginning of this post. Hygiene is most important & if hygiene is poor wont matter if you shave or not | |

I pluck out most of my eyebrows and leave my arms and bit of belly hair alone. Those places do not need to be touched if it looks feminine enough. | |

I would guess that most women prefer men to be clean shaved or at least be well groomed if they do have hair where men grow hair.
It's my belief, and I maybe wrong, that the shaved pubic region is something that's originated from the porn industry where hair was removed so that the camera could get a better picture, (close up), of what was going on.
I always found it a turn when fingers crept inside a knicker elastic to strike the first wisps of pubic hair then to gradually delve deeper gently teasing the hair through my fingers. It was all part of the foreplay as the anticipation built and the heart pounded faster.

Perfume? A little goes a long way. I'm somewhat allergic to an abundance of the stuff on people. | |
