Posted: 6/26/2006 3:19:18 PM | | We are not glamorized in the media by all the negative influences that those parades and other forms of entertainment like music, movies, videogames(yes, there are a lot out there), and TV promote. Many people are being too deceived by Satan through these things that they don't want to listen to the truth. It is better to be in a small group and proud than to copy the filth of the world. Another question similar is why does Hollywood release movies like The Davinci Code and The Omen and not release a big blockbuster film on the book of revelation? Whether or not you believe it, why did hurricane katrina destroy the area in new orleans, isn't that similar to God's judgment on Sodom and Gomorra because of the homosexuals and immorality occurring there(mardi gras). | |

I think it's interesting that you talk about using tvs & video games and yet I see a controller in your hand. Then I looked at your profile briefly and noticed you put down that you are a Christian- Now I'm not very knowledgeable in all religons but last time i checked part of being a good Christian is not judging others and only trying to make yourself better.
It's said to not use God's name in vain- when you tell people that God will punish them for their sins it's not your place to tell them that- so get off your high horse, live your life and quit judging others- that's not your job or your place. | |

Oh yeah. Funny story, being the "computer geek", one of my jobs at the old job was monitoring the internet proxy (all web browsing went in and out through this machine). I'd search the logs weekly for "f**k" "sex", "xxx", and well, I'm sure you could expand that list like I did over time (this was before we paid for software to block it all). The HR department had never asked me for it, but I knew it was a matter of time, so I took it upon myself to approach these people and tell them "quit it, because eventually they'll ask me for the logs, and it'll be grounds for you to get fired".
Funny, one guy - very active in his church - walked into his office and said (and I could see in the logs he had been browsing 10minutes before, he was right down the hall) "I wouldn't browse sites like that." - "what do you mean??" - "y'know, Russian Babes..." - the look on his face would have made you laugh. 6 months later HR audited the logs, he got fired - some other people were lucky because I had "accidentally" deleted all but about 2 weeks of logs (I kinda had warning they were planning an audit) - not my fault he was obsessed with it.
Another guy, always ran the charity collections, another one very active in his church, etc... I was quite embarrased telling him that browsing the Yahoo Groups "men who like little boys" boards was, uh, inappropriate at work. They didn't fire him, which I think was unfair personally, but he had a, uh, "black projects" security clearance, and if they had fired him it would have opened up pandora's box with the government.
Being a "Christian", or any other religion, is no guarentee that you are in any way "moral". | |
