Posted: 7/15/2006 7:43:39 AM | I've also been doing that, inviting ones I'm interested in (with the note suggesting that) and ones that looked like they needed to know. In fact I got a response this morning from one of the need to know ones that said "I have no idea what POF is" even though she has a profile, uses POF mail and is favored by 4. I replied and informed her what POF is, LOL.
Sometimes those of us in the know get woke up and see the need to step back and view the world from the eyes of a lamb. And such a cute lamb she is, says the wolf. Hope she comes..... She made a snide comment about reading my profile and looking for the forum at the bottom, saying if she spent the time to read there would be no way she'd finish by Sunday and she'd miss the party anyway. So she doesn't know about the forums either. 39 years on this earth, where's she been?..... which rock has she been hiding under?..... Posted: 7/15/2006 8:41:57 AM | Regarding Handwriting Analysis -- the traits I read in handwriting have nothing whatsoever to do with how one looks. However I will say that I 'color' the description of traits with metaphor, behavioral descriptions etc., slightly differently based on my sense of a person.
So if there are those of you who want to see how well I'd do with your handwriting sample without seeing you personally, then get a group of 2-4 of you together first, before coming up to me, write your cursive samples out, and then have one of you hand them to me in a stack of 2-4 samples. Then I'll read what I see in each sample, without knowing whose each one is, and you'll see I'm usually ~95% accurate with behavioral traits & values, etc. The least accurate thing I read in handwriting is identifying old injuries/accidents/operations, etc. I'm about 60-70% accurate on those.
And since all of us are perfectly imperfect, with a wide range of behavioral traits, some we might wish we didn't have, you may also rest assured that at an event like this -- I will comment primarily on what I view as "positive" traits that I believe make you more attractive to most others. After all, ideally, this is supposed to be a fun gig, not an embarassing one! :)
One of the most fun parts for group readings is reading libido/sex-drive. Nearly always right-on-the-money accurate. Turns into a real giggle-fest! | |

1. I don't think ONE person has removed their name from the list. 472 have signed up. If only 40% show, that's 188, and I know some of these are bringing a friend. Is that not exciting?
I saw the post where Tampa/St.Pete tried to start one, and it has already been cancelled. Imagine that! They made a big thing about it being locals only and also ONLY a get together, not something where you should be looking to hook up..... MISTAKE? What the heck are we here for? 
2. I've gotten some chips, dips, and snacks, and some paper plates.
3. I still can't find anything to wear! 
4. Sandman- I wish you would never have wrote in the forum that we should put out feelers to the one's we'd like to meet, and suggest they come ......UMMMMM... I have told plenty of ladies on here that I would like to see them there. What's up with that?
5. To the ladies that I have asked to come.. I guess I should plainly state, It was a gesture only, and I'm ONLY into MEN... haha

My, my, do we have a bunch of subtle messages or not. My type of woman!  About the ladies thing, perhaps there's some latent attraction there. Hmmmmm, how about you and I analyze this later with another lady?!   Yea, right! As most of us guys know it's hard enough to please just one woman. And at our age this may take some time and I've been told that four minutes ain't enough time!
Have no fear "Heaven", you'll look good in whatever you choose to wear. Now, about that lingerie.....

I wanted to come to somthing where I could actually talk to people without screaming. I don't drink and I don't smoke. I joined POF because i don't want to meet women in bars. could we please have the next gathering as a picnic in a park somewhere. I would like to hear others opinions. | |

What I do not understand is why people feel the need to extend pain to others who have done them no harm whatsoever. Although I will mention that everyone who was well behaved and in the spirit of why we came together to begin with. My hats off to you. Thank you ladies who were kind and wished to have fun as I did. For you I am ever grateful. For those who were unkind for whatever reason that no one will ever know. My word would be learn to let down your guard. Not every male on the planet is nasty and hateful. I understand being hurt in the past. I really do. For it has happened to me and will probably without a doubt happen agaiin. This evening was a prime example. I can tell you for a fact that I shall never attend any events in the future from this website permanently. I do not like having pain inflicted upon me as any other person would not. If you feel that I did something wrong. Please forgive me but I do not think this is the case. At any rate I wish everyone here a happy life and that they meet the one of their dreams. You just will never achieve what you could as long as you are stiff and the guard is up all the time. This will never work. I feel sorry for you and that is the end of it. People learn from this. | |

I am sorry to hear that you wouldnt be coming to another get together, and I feel bad for the the one that did you wrong as thats not right. Some of us normal sane people did have a good time however, I met some really great women that I can look forward to calling my friends marriemoe!!!! and glitterchix!!!!! yall where the best!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad I went tonight!!! Not every event is perfect, and not everything happens to fall in place exactly as we want it, but go with the spirit people and remember to have fun :) Thanks to glitterchix for the idea, and to bachelorsheaven for all the hard work and thinking that both of yall did to put into this. Thanks to anyone that I missed that worked on this one, I would gladly come to another one. Take care ya'll. | |

I was there till 1:30 and I can say I did not have a bad time and the ones that I did meet and spent some time talking to were actually nice. If there is another planned I will attend if I can.
Bachelorsheaven, brawnydog, kat, I have the pictures off the camera that I took. If you wold want me to sent them to you personally before putting them up here on the site email me here and give me your regular email addy and I will be more than happy to email you the pictures.
BTW bachelorsheaven why did you make me miss taking the best pic of you of all lol. You should have let me take that picture I missed before I was unable to put anymore pictures on the camera lol. Next time, I will make sure and have a memory card in it to be able to take more pics.

I was going to sign up and show up initially when it was scheduled at the Ale House. After the venue changed, I did research on what type of place Doc's Place is and when I found out that it is a night club, I did not sign up. I'm looking on POF because I DO NOT LIKE NIGHT CLUBS!! I still appreciate the effort of the organizers (even though I was not there), but a park or any place where you could actually talk etc. would be a lot better. I'd bet that fewer people showed up BECAUSE of the venue change.. Just my .02
I do believe that Lakeland itself is a great Central location, just not at a Night Club! | |

Posted: 7/16/2006 6:17:33 AM | | I figured in the beginning that it was only a short one hour trip for me and that's not un-realistic. Makes for an enjoyable ride on a Sat. I didn't go with any expectations so I had a good time. I talked to a lot of people that were enjoying themselves too. I danced with some pretty good dancers. I saw some of the best Karoke I've seen anywhere. There sure was a lot of talent there. I enjoyed the entertainment and the DJ did an excellent job. I'm sure I can also understand some people not being comfortable because of maybe the smoke at times but some just walked outside, got a breath of air, and jumped back in. It did get a little warm at times but I think it's this Florida weather too. Over all, I enjoyed myself and appreciate all the time these folks put into this. | |
