Posted: 8/6/2006 4:20:11 AM | When I was at school "oh... sugar plum fairies" was a popular in-front-of-the-teachers curse-substitute. Beause it starts "oh shhhhh..." and can be followed up with an innocent grin.
I reckon it's not the word that matters, it's the amount of dramatic expression you invest it with. Unless you actually want to get a reaction, saying "Yow!" or "Bother!" with feeling is just as useful as saying "f*ck" or "b*llocks". | |
