| Just Why Do You Girls Love Motorcycles???
Posted: 6/25/2006 10:44:21 AM | I'm thinking this topic needs a buzz-kill...
When In was in the Navy I almost bought a bike, but at the last minute I got sent to the Persian Gulf. Since then I've lost 5 friend to bike vs. car accidents, and although I've had the urge to buy one, the fear factor takes over. What sucks is that in 4 of the 5 cases it was the cars fault. 5th one was just stupidity that ended with a 97 MPH slide through a chain link fence. Trust me, thats something you don't want to see the results of.
Anyway, my point to all of this is that I thought of buying a Moped. Unfortunately, you know what they say about Mopeds? They're like fat chicks...they're both fun to ride until your friends see you on them!!
I guess I'll stick to horses and trucks. I thought women liked them too? | |

Which is a reason we love bikes in the first place.

I am a booty girl so a guy with a tight @$$ and the body to match wearing some shades, just the thought makes me tingle all over! My favorite movies are Torque, Biker Boyz, Fast and the Furious 1, 2, and 3. Enough said! | |

They take those driving lesson safety courses, and they save up for years and buy their own bikes AND go on those long group rides. There must be a real strong attraction for motorcycles for women.
Me, I gave that up after I all my friends were getting injured and losing their lives. I lost cousines and coworkers and girlfriends and friends to motorcycle deaths caused by other drivers, and I drove a bike for 2 years and then lost my nerve when so many of us were dieing. I like my Jeep now ( and vette ). | |

It is always about the man first then the bike or whatever he has.......that is the way it should be. Just like it should be about the woman first not her boobs or her hair or etc.
Why are you so offended by men with bikes? It is just a part of us that we enjoy. I see women with their children, dogs, cars, boats, friends, etc.....should I be offended? I think all are just a part of our lives and to be seen that way.....not as a negative....
OT.....Women enjoy men with motorcyles just as some do men in bands or athletes.....all the thrill of enjoying what they see and knowing that others enjoy that also....so they want to be a part of it and the main part...... All is good......just enjoy the ride.....

I put the picture of me and my bike on this site because it is part of my life, I don't have any children, but if I did I would maybe put a picture of them on too, to tell everyone "this is part of my life". I bought the bike that I wanted, it's not a Harley or a crotch rocket. It's an older design (21st year of production). It's a super fast "hot rod" that is well respected by people in the know. It is a thrill to ride an experience if you will. I don't consider myself a "bad ass biker" or a rebel. Just someone who like to have fun etc.. | |

What bother's me is that alot of these men seem to think it's a chick magnet, I don't understand why a man would want to put on display thing's he owns to try to draw in a woman. That's like people who put down how much money they make. Do they want a materialistic individual in their lives? That's why I said that. | |

There are obviously guys out there that buy bikes solely for this reason.
Not all of us do.
The reason I love riding, is the same reason I've always loved horses.
To me, it's a freedom I can't find anywhere else.
Honestly, I'm not sure how to explain it...which goes back to that, "If I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand anyway" concept.
To me?
It's about Rt. 244.
54 to 70...or up to Tularosa.
44 to Durango...eventually up to Silverton.
...the Enchanted Circle and Memorial in Angel Fire.
...I90, Exit 32 to Edmunds St.
A million other rides...

Have to admit though, was on a crotch rocket recently and while I didn't give the peril much thought when I was 19, with three kids, I found myself thinking, okay, the only thing keeping my ass on this bike is remembering not to let go! The image of dead mommy kill on the road caused me to think I had lost my mind but the joy of being on a bike again overrode that in the end. Would probably prefer a bike with at least something to keep my butt from shooting off the bike, however! | |

Posted: 6/26/2006 10:15:27 PM | | sneaking my motorcycle to jr high school (parked it in the safeway parking lot nearby). school was near the woods -so the cops never got close to catching me. always coming to school to accuse me of ditching them. (i had such an irresistable "bad boy" rep) lot of the boys had some kind of dirt bike, so most parents looked the other way. even had a teacher that would organize motorcross events at the abandoned dump. literally had a line of girls begging me to take them for rides at 3pm every day, i think they used as an excuse to wrap their body around you while on the back of the bike. and when you showed up to school with road rash, or limping from wiping out -talk about a sympathy line. -wish i knew then what i know now... | |

The sun, the speed, the rush of the wind, even the smell of the outdoors - you don't get that in a closed up air-conditioned car. Granted it's not for everybody - but the more adventurous know who they are.  | |
