Posted: 12/17/2006 1:39:55 PM | I think bikes are beautiful pieces of machinery and for some an extension of their very beings but I am not one who is fond of riding a bike at all. I did so once and didn't enjoy it even tho I was dating a rally racer for close to ten years. He was a part time and later acclaimed journalist for bike rally magazines and that was the interest we shared.
He had to keep telling me to pay attention, keep my feet here and there, hold on this way and that, lean with him etc. It was a total pain in the a$s as far as I was concerned. I'm far too much of a daydreamer to not wind up as roadkill.
From then on I took the train. | |

I've owned 14 motorcycles, was a motorcycle safety foundation instructor for years.
I also was run into by someone driving a car, on my way back from teaching an advanced class, broke 7 ribs, my left humerus and collapsed one of my lungs.
I no longer ride motorcycle, give me a car, any car, any day instead.
Motorcycle riders are more prone to fatalities, permanent disability, and injury than auto drivers.
Motorcycle riders over the age of 40 are particularly at risk when they have an accident.

Posted: 12/17/2006 4:19:30 PM | Hmmm, I don't know either. I never got hot over a guy with a bike. Now, I'd get hot over the bike itself, that's why I just went and got my own. Love the V-max. I currently ride it's little brother. Shopping for a crotch rocket now.
Some guys just look goofy on a bike. On some cruisers (especially Harleys) the pegs are so in front, and with the guy's knees bent, it makes them look like they are on an ob/gyn table with the stirrups. A guy that looks to be in a position to be probed is most definitely not sexy.  | |
