Posted: 12/18/2006 10:01:04 AM | I don't know, we just do. I'm a speed freak when it comes to bikes and fast cars so I can't say what it is exactly. Just something about it. On the bike, its the power, the feeling of being free. In a fast car, its the speed and the knowledge that I really shouldn't go that fast but oh damn is it fun.
I really should consider getting a bike again in the spring if finances allow. I'd really be out of the dating pond then, I'd be too busy disappearing for the weekends on a whim. | |

Posted: 12/18/2006 12:02:49 PM | OP the attraction is being comfortable with who you are. Doing what makes you happy, being in good place in your life and enjoying life. Too many people dont live their lives because of...........well, you know all the reasons..........and why?
I drive a Mustang Convertible in the summer and I love it. I have had numerous comments from people - rude, jealous, etc. and I just laugh - why? Cause I'm happy, I'm living my life and enjoying every moment, instead of being miserable, grumpy or jealous. I'm just happy with me.
Now when I see a man on a bike I give him a closer look to see if he owns a bike cause he loves it - or for the woman factor. Nothing is hotter than a man who feels good about himself - not arogant, just happy with where he is in his life. Now, that is the type of man I want to be with - bike or not. But a bike could be so much fun. | |

My two cent's worth is this: I love to ride, reason's are simple: freedom, legal or not you go where you want, Acceleration, unless a 12 second car is next to you in a stop light, you eat all for breakfast and ask where lunch is, Knowing you really are different, crotch rocket, that i've enjoyed as well, or cruiser there is still a smaller population that ride on a regular basis, so being part of a select group is cool. Not that I discount fair weather rider's but they are different and in the club I'm with they do agree with me. Another thing, when I pull into a city park for a rest and a walk around, after hittig the hi way, you do get the look's, some condesending and some admirable, but it is most interesting how the ladies come up to ask about the bike and totally disregarad the bug gut's al over me.
An interesting annecdote from n ex of mine "who wouldn't want 500 lb's of power between her leg's" totally shocked my mom and made me laugh. (no I'm not 500 lb's), not even close.
After I've known a gal for a while I'll ask her if she want's her own bike. As much as having a lady grab a hold and cuddle her experince could be better if she flew solo. Some say yes and we find a scoot for her and some say no, I like riding with you, each to their own as long as they are in the wind and having fun. | |

I'm a sea kayaker, so I see a lot of similarities between the two activities. Howso, you ask? Well, the whole freedom aspect, fer sure! Now, I'm not referring to hopping in my kayak for an hour or so, nor am I referring to hopping on a bike for a short duration. I'm talking about adventure...days or weeks of adventure... on the ocean or the open road! Travelling to parts unknown, meeting really cool people and feeling that sense of "I've got the world by the nads" and I'm out in it...the rain, the wind, the sun, the waves, the open road. That self-sufficiency is an awesome feeling. The attitude...the lifestyle.
So, when I see a "biker", I'm seeing more than just a hot guy in leather or the beautiful machine. The combination is intriguing! And man, I've seen some hot bikers...a hot french one comes to mind! Whew 
Why is it so frikkin hot in here all of a sudden?
