Posted: 5/9/2007 1:58:51 PM | I was thinking about this the other day - why I like to ride that is - and I think it has to do with the stimulation. I like being buffeted by the wind, pelted by bugs, scorched by the sun, rattled by the machine and deafened by my Screaming Eagle pipes.
And like Lady Biker2 said, it gives you a sense of camaraderie. I was reading the Enthusiast the other day, there's an article about DMC (from Run DMC), he said he rode a Harley because it was the "peoples bike". I'm inclined to agree with him, but I'd go one step further and say that riding is a "peoples sport". | |

Posted: 6/27/2007 2:59:18 PM | I love them because when I was 16 I got my class 6 (BC Motorcycle License) because a motorcycle was easier to afford than a car :) I was the only girl in grade 12 riding one to school.
You see the world differently when there's not a box of steel and glass surrounding you.
You feel it differently too. A bumble bee splattering against your knuckles and up your arm not only hurts like hell, but is quite revolting too.
Oh, in case anyone's thinking it, I'm not the stereotype of biker chick. No leather, no tats and couldn't spit to save my life.

FYI,
I recently decided to not ride others, IMO, it's just getting a little too crazy out there.
Motorcycles sales more then double every year, yet so many "don't see us".
I have also noticed "interest" because of the cycle.
I hope those reading this get as much of a laugh as I do. I met one gal, nice, her photo matched her etc. What was funny, was after I bought coffee, dinner etc, she informed me "I'm sorry, you're not my type. I really want a bada** biker type, you're too nice of a guy".
I still "lol" when I think about what my face must have looked like.
The was the kindest rejection ever.

Has a 3 chamber flowmaster dual 3 inch exhaust on it... 550 horsepower, sets off car alarms an gets noise complaints all the time ahaha. Attracts chicks like crazy at the drag strip. Im hopin to get my own soon, either a 1972 Chevelle Malibu SS, or 79 or 80 Trans Am t-top. | |

I feel that it was better to break it off, after four months then to be with him and feel that I had to peek out of the corner of my eye everytime one went by. and it wouldnt be right to dream I was on a back of a bike with someone else.
