you make the greatest of friends here and the forums are a great place to learn what and what not to do when looking for a fishy lol

Posted: 7/14/2006 6:12:35 AM | I have learned that there are great people out there who can cheer you up with a silly comment - and don't even know they've made your day.
I have learned that there a lot of people who take life way too seriously and need to learn to relax - especially on the forums.
I have learned lots and lots about me and what I am really looking for.
I have learned that I am not the only one that is absolutely anal about spelling and typos - however - I can completely understand when others make mistakes and don't peak on them for doing so.
I have learned there are lots of people out there who have waaaaaayyyyyy to friggin much time on their hands. I mean - geeeeee - where do some people come up with some of this stuff.
The sex and dating forum - well I can't even begin to comment on what I've learned off there - lol
I had never heard of the women that shave their ears though - I know some men I wish would - lmao
I have learned - most importantly - how to laugh even more than I used too.

Posted: 7/14/2006 10:25:25 AM | I learned so much on here. There are two different areas on the site.
The first area is your inbox and outbox. Just coming here to online dating and seeing the availability and all the possible mates to choose from. Before interent dating, meeting a women was not hard, but alot more difficult than on here. It was more of a roll of a dice too. Don;t really have much to go on. I love the fact where you can read someone's profile, talk to them a bit and get to know them, before ever having to go out on a date with them. IT saves alot of time in narrowing down what is right or wrong for you. All the messages the we get, go a long way in helping us be patient in waiting for the right one. It kind of builds security that may lack just a little when single.
The other part of the site is the forums.
What a great place. Just through discussing so many topics and dealing with so many personalities, you learn alot about people and alot about yourself. Me being a guy, it is hard sometimes to talk about certain things with the boys. This is somewhat of an outlet, where I can be more of myself. Sometimes serious, sometimes not. But, all in all. This site has been great. Met so many great people and me being the positive type, have no problems forgetting the little bad that is on here. | |

That because I gained 40 lbs - women don't even give me the time of day anymore
I used to be a real sports buff and was all muscle - now I have a love handle
In my opinion just means a woman never appreciated the real man whom I am inside.
well if you ladies really want to learn something on POF learn to read the book and not just search for the cover.

I think it's important that when someone feels strong negative feelings that they back off & take stock before directing thier misery upon others.
Learn to be positive and make life a joy and not something to be oppressed by. | |

2) Most women here don't know what they want
3) A lot of women don't realize what's right in front of them. Can't see the forest for the trees.
4) Some women should look up the term "head games" and realize that's what they are playing, even though they say they don't like them. In reality they just don't like head games played on them. It's ok for them to do it to others.
5) Women should be more polite and considerate when it comes to answering emails.
But on the positive side........
6) It just takes one other person to make you happy
7) There is someone for everyone
8) Give it time
9) There is some great people here
10) Don't judge a book by it's cover
11) Don't be overly picky, you might be passing on your one and only | |

I agree ,, but it definately goes both ways doesn't it.... You should have no problem , you are definately a cutie,,, 40lbs. or not... If they don't want you this way ,, then they are not worth it, and they are loosing out... I personally prefer when I hug my man I feel like he has some substance and not just bones. You can make really good friends here, even if they are in a different city.
Some people are polite enough to answer your mail and are willing to make friends with you even when your profile states long term.
Best of all, the shwa group accepts you just as you are, love to you all. | |
