Posted: 7/7/2006 9:20:10 PM | I believe that psychic abilities of all sorts are inherent in everyone, whether an individual has an active connection with them is another thing all together.
Myself, I enjoyed the fun of telepathy as a young child until I think I was taught to believe it was all in my imagination by adults. Then there have been future dreams that have come true anywhere from a week to a year or so later. Not always 100% accurate but pretty close.
Twice now I have had a more direct "connection" to an extent with two different ladies but I am able to read between the lines and understand some others more than they expect.
The first girl I had a connection with, that was a frustrating time. We would mirror each others moods sometimes without knowing why until we met up. The most frustrating thing was that everytime I was planning on asking her out (with no one else knowing 'bout it of course) she would get hyper and move around like a whirling dervish. The more determined I was to do so, the more hyper she became. Within 5 minutes of my deciding not to ask she would start calming down. To test this (twice) I changed my mind and decided again to ask, she immediately started getting hyper!!  Oivay!! Had to give up before I wore her (and my frustrations) out!! 
The second person I have a little bit different connection with (not as strong but that could be due to distance and not having known her for all that long yet {since near Mother's Day this year}) . She has a long history with similar (albeit I believe stronger) abilities but I still have managed to surprise her now and again with my own insight. Examples being telling her something and then describing to a T her reaction, facial expression, body position, etc. I have devined a couple different situations that she had not told me of and there appears to be a mutual understanding of human nature and how we perceive our heart's desires and wishes.
As for being able to read and understand others I have a gift for Empathy combined with a very understanding and open mindedness and to see most (sometimes all) sides of situations (might be considered severe over-analyzing lol). I think so much of possibilities of things (sometimes this has been more a curse than a blessing; or too much time to think lol) that if I were a Super-Hero I would be called something like Capt. Possibility or something equally silly. | |

He was the first person I spoke with in the morning...and the last person I said goodnight to...I would get this....feeling....and then he would call...or email...or something...and it was crazy!!! The relationship ended though as he lived in California and I live in Canada and neither of us were in a position to move...but maybe that intensity is what I am looking for....

I wonder what you might see behind my eyes as I don't even know what is behind them myself. Probably I'm a little leary of really knowing. Maybe if I did I would finally find love in life and start "really" living.

I have had psychic connections with others all my life. My brother and I knew when we were thinking of each other and often could telepathically convey messages to each other. When he died I knew the exact moment even before being notified - his soul visited me. One lover and I had an incredible connection together including feeling each other's presence, thoughts, feelings, and knowing when the calls would come and so forth. A very common occurance for me is to identify callers that are close to my heart before answering the phone or door. Trust your inner wisdom and intuition. It is the truth. | |

I met her when i was bumming around Winnipeg with a girlfriend of mine way back in 1980 hse was wearing a pair of "Howick" overalls and I called them the overals with the luvs symbol on them that was only a five minute meeting. We ran into each other a few years later and we both remembered each other
We palled around for a number of years I would even visit her out in Brandon when she went to "B U " .
Unfortunatly iI made some tactical errors (started dating some one only to find out she was available) and have since lost touch with her.
I realy miss her and I hope to one day run into her again

I could never figure out how she and I could read each other's thoughts, or completely independently decide to cook the same thing for dinner one night, because we both got a craving for something that our grandmother would make when we were kids. I had to hide my thoughts from my son when he was small, because if I thought about where I had hidden the candy, next thing I knew he'd be eating it. It bothers me a little because I can't explain how it works, but I have just stopped trying to figure it out rationally. | |

Posted: 8/12/2006 7:35:05 AM | Yes, many times with different people. Part of it is about being open to this kind of connection. In one case I was with a woman and we broke up. One night, approximately 9 months after we'd broken up I woke up in the middle of the night and had a bad dream about her being in danger. (we hadn't even spoken for 9 months) The following day I called her and it was at this time that her boyfriend had tried to kill her, just about the time I was having the dream.
I think there are also other kinds of connections. Have you ever met anyone and just felt as if you'd known them for years. Personally, I believe in past lives and that when that happens it's because of a connection from another time. I have a dear friend and we are so connected that it presents a tremendous threat to her current boyfriend. We both agree that our connection is so strong and so strange and no one understands it.
I think that we all have soul mates and special people that enter and exit our lives. Each person is there to help you learn something. Some people I've met have been afraid to accept such connections and that is kind of sad. I find connections like these to be pretty incredible and a gift.
I believe I inherited this from my mom. Her brother died of a stroke in the middle of the night. My mom was up at 6AM that day and told me that Uncle Larry came to tell her goodbye. At around 8AM that morning she got a call from his wife who told her that he had died around 6AM. Mom had no way of knowing but she knew even before she got the call. | |

Last week I was talking to someone I'm fairly close to, He's in Germany right now & was supposed to come back on Saturday, but Thursday night I had a dream he was telling me he had to stay another week.
So I sent him an email saying as much & he replied laughing saying it was so. Things like this happen
alot with us...& we are both aware of it.. It's pretty cool..

We have become one with the flow of life, or "in the flow". Have you ever looked at a digital clock and there is a pattern? 1:23, 4:44, etc.? That means you are sychronise (sp?)with the universe. Someone I only went on one date with and didn't particularly feel any special connection with/to during the date. It was odd but I had an incredibly strange experience a few weeks later. Not something I talk about usually because it's kind of out there and unless you really knew me, you might think I'm a flake! LOL...
I also had some telepathic experiences with someone I was involved with over 10 years ago like the ones you describe but in this case we were quite mentally and spiritually connected so this one doesn't surprise me that much.
Now on the humourous side... I've had some psychotic experiences with some pretty flakey people but we won't talk about those! LOL | |

Posted: 8/31/2006 12:49:19 AM | My brother and I are linked, definitely. We often speak about what the other is thinking, and we call eachother on bad days, just somehow "knowing" the other needs comfort and an ear. We've been like that our whole lives. It used to scare our mother. *L*
There is something I can do that really freaks people out. Within five or so minutes of meeting someone, I can tell them about their lives. Their fears. Their hurts. People hate it when I do that to them.
I can also very often tell when my boyfriends think about me. I've verified this with many of the guys I've dated, pinpointing it to the exact moment. I'll call and tell them to stop thinking about me, or tell them the exact time I could feel it.
I describe it as a weird "flip-flop" in my belly. That freaks some of them out too. 
On a side-note, I also knew the sexes of all three of my children before they were born. And no, I didn't find out before the birth. I just "knew". I would head right to the baby boy or baby girl clothes when shopping, called them "he" or "she". All three times, I was right.

I pick up on the emotional intent of people, aspects of their charactor (or lack thereof) and basic personality, whether in person, by text or on the phone. In my head, everyone has thier own unique signature and when I focus in on it, it expands in my head.
It is not flawless but highly accurate 95% of the time.
I used to dream things that would occur months later.
My sister and I, in the past ten years or so, have taken to saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. We often think the same thing as well.
I've found it is very hard for me to live in crowded situations due to the "din" of energy I pick up from people. It drives me crazy and I don't know how to shut it out. As a result, I avoid exposure to large crowds. Disneyworld is my idea of hell.
