edit: but i can eat them cooked in a pie or turnover, and I use apple sauce in my baking...

Posted: 7/11/2006 5:47:18 AM | Turnip greens or mustard greens! Turns my stomach just thinking about it. Scallops and squid too. I dont even like to use squid for fish bait... Haven't tried EVERYTHING there is out there yet so I am sure there is other stuff I wont like. Oh, and Tapia (fish) as prepared at Olive Garden. Not very flavorful...
I have eaten snails and didn't not like them, but they dont have much flavor on their own, which is why they were in a garlic butter sauce. Ostrich is good and I am still waiting to find some octopus to eat again. Taste pretty good. I wasnt sure of it, but I will pretty much try anything once where food is concerned. | |

why do so many ppl hate feta cheese ?? mmmm so good on pizza.
I love to look on the net for strange foods.. that birds nest.. its not twigs and stuff.. its the bird spit... yeah.. spit... ew.. why would anyone eat bird spit ?and whats the deal with sharks fin ? it tasts like nothing.. and the poor sharks are left for dead after the fisher cuts the fins off...
i also could of lived a great life without knowing how they make head cheese... *shudders* | |

I never thought that people would freak out at the mear sight of an apple, cherry, raisin...
Most people on this thread have some sort of aversion to fruits and veggies...
Is it that we americans have been sold on highly-processed, cleverly packaged foods, pumped full of additves and coated in sugar...That natural foods has become WIERD or DISGUSTING to us?
I wonder how many of us, if push came to shove, could kill, dress, cook, and eat someting like a live chicken? Not to worry...Micky D's has the chicken sandwich waiting for you...
Im going to make a salad with lots of olives, onions, bell pepers, mushrooms, tomatos, apples, cherries, beets, and verything else that freaks yall out...and I'm going to EAT WITH MY MOUTH OPEN so you can see everything mixing...  | |

I noticed many people said liver, I love it with lots of fried onions and a little bacon, mashed potatoes and gravy. I don't cook it myself, don't like the look when raw. | |
