I've been asked to webcam lots... to me .. that's a red flag... and it turns me right off...
In my own personal experience... most of the time.. it gets sex related and on a few occasions I've been introduced to Mr. Pecker!!!
That's not quite the head shot I was lookin for...
So no I won't webcam.... and have found anyone that I've gone to meet using photos emails messenger and the phone has been everything they said and represented themselves honestly.
Just my personal preference.. to each their own! | |

Posted: 4/28/2007 2:48:37 PM | It's a big Yes for me. I usually don't even get serious in the emails because how do you know who you are communicating with. Just because someone has a few photos up does not make it a fact that they are who they claim to be. Some prefer the telephone but again this only confirms if female or male in some cases not even.
The only way to be sure who you are talking to is through the CAM with Audio.
This way you see the person and hear the voice which makes it much better than the phone. It does not mean you have to cam everytime you chat but at least you are rightly informed on the gender, age, and size of the person. | |

Too many have simply expected me to disrobe and 'put on a show' eeech. Like I want to get naked on camera for a virtual stranger *rolls eyes*. I realize that not all guys are like this, but it really has been a trend. I am also just uncomfortable being on camera in general, having pictures taken or whatever, that's a quirk of mine (although I still managed to post pix). I wouldn't disappear on someone who asked but I no longer have a web cam and have no desire to get one again. I don't want to spend 'weeks getting to know someone' online regardless. That in itself is a waste of time. The computer is fine for the first bit, but lets get on with it for heaven's sake, just get coffee or something already. I understand both sides of the argument for sure, but for me, I really don't want to webcam. I think people do need to be flexible and respect each other's needs, all of which are highly personal. | |

I prefer to see someone on cam first, and have them see me. If I got along really well with someone, I wouldn't say no to a meet simply because of the lack of cam..but I would sort of wonder why it was such an issue.... | |

It is not there body's.. or****... Well maby the****... lol it dose make a huge differently..

One guy I did go out and meet here Was so not like his picture I didn't recognize him, thought He was hitting on me. I am trying to do the polite thing of I am sorry but I am waiting for someone..... He looks at me and says I know you and you are waiting for me, it was all I could do not to laugh out loud. He was at least 40 pounds heavier. Bald, Which wouldn't have been a problem. To top it all off he had very white tan line on the left ring finger. What was supposed to be a dinner date was a quick sip of a drink and me running. Praying feet don't fail me now type of thing | |
