No, because the whole "webcam" thing has been tarnished with internet perversion, and I would get a tad annoyed if I hear "do you have a webcam?" because it implies a lack of trust. The webcam thing is just a bit asinine in my personal opinion, and I would appreciate not having to deal with it.
Well said, leonix. As soon as someone says "webcam", I have a bad vision in my head. I'll blame it on the Yahoo freakazoids. LMAO!

It's the freaks that show up and immediately want to 'get on cam wit me.' That i'd watch out for. Guys this includes you, it is NOT always good to webcam with a lady.
Sometimes there's a lot you don't want to see. lol

| wouldn't most want to web cam before meeting? Posted: 9/3/2007 9:49:10 PM | | I personally hate cams. I don't own one and I get so bored looking at someone on cam. If someone demands that I go on cam for them, I personally figure that they are not worth it. I think it's good to see a picture so it's not a blind date when you meet, but if you got along well why not take that leap of faith and go meet the person. If they happened to have changed a lot from the picture and didn't bother mentioning that to you before hand, or made an attempt to get a more recent picture...that's deception and there is no real reason why you would want to meet the person again. They just told you something about themselves that didn't involve their physical looks... | |

| wouldn't most want to web cam before meeting? Posted: 9/3/2007 10:11:42 PM | I don't even do IM let alone Web cam ......and any guy who doesn't like that can lump it.
The online Personals are a small part of my life. I'm not going to allow anyone to turn them into a 3-ring circus with me as the clown. LOL.
I have posted a photo and as far as I'm concerned that's enough for any stranger to ask of me.

| wouldn't most want to web cam before meeting? Posted: 9/4/2007 4:36:51 AM | Well if i have been talking to someone for a bit and we both had decided we want to meet and set a date then i do go on cam first just so they can see me in real time. I just hate it though when i almost never speak to someone on my msn or talk to someone for the first time and they start bugging you to turn on the cam.
The only reason most of the time people want to do that is for some perverted reason. I mean what fun is there in watching someone sit at a computer and type?

| wouldn't most want to web cam before meeting? Posted: 9/4/2007 6:38:32 AM | I don't think most would want to web cam before meeting. Quite a few don't even need to speak to you on the phone first.
Interestingly enough, of the handful of people I have ever chatted to who used a webcam (I don't own one myself), I've met precisely zero. Maybe it's just another excuse for them to avoid reality?

| wouldn't most want to web cam before meeting? Posted: 9/4/2007 6:48:05 AM | I always try to ensure they have seen me on webcam prior to a meeting, at least they know i look like my profile pics and they are sure im being honest with them.
I cant really see how any sensible bloke would object!!. at the end of the day you want the person your meeting to be relaxed about who they are meeting, it makes life so much easier.
Although i have had a number of dates where the woman im talking to wont reveal herself even though i have, which always makes me suspicious.

| wouldn't most want to web cam before meeting? Posted: 9/4/2007 10:30:11 AM | no.......
web cams hide as much as pics can.......
don't see any point......and I agree, it just sounds cheesey! Most are all fuzzy and badly lit. it's real simply people, post clear pics on your profile. Not just 1, not in the same clothes from different angles.
lastly......... with the cell phone/digi pics in the mirror! Do you have no friends or ever do anything?
