Everytime I am at a store, heck anywhere kids are staring at me. I use to think it was becuase I was so funny looking, but then one day in a Target line this guy had his SCREAMING baby over his shoulder and I started coo-ing and smiling at her and she started cracking up.

Christians have been claiming divine copyright on ethics for a long time, and I'm here to call their bluff!
Yes, I was (forced to be) raised in the Church of Christ and I've read the Bible, but I was never in any danger of being a Believer. What I *did* come away with from reading the Bible was an appreciation for some of the ethics of the New Testament. How many Christians do you suppose recognize that Jesus was a hardcore socialist and not a capitalist? Thomas Jefferson wasn't a Christian, either, and at least didn't believe in the divinity of Jesus, yet he also greatly admired Jesus as a philosopher and the New Testament as an ethical exploration. He admired it so much so, in fact, that he wrote his own edited "Jefferson Bible", from which he removed all the "mystical" elements and left the history, philosophy, and ethics. Okay, that's enough literary history for one day!
If you see a guy pushing four shopping carts into a store raving about "selfish capitalists" and he's not wearing a store uniform, that would likely be me.
