So, do you have a beautiful poem of your own to share with us? I know there is a poet somewhere within you or within one of your eggs. You should be a Rooster, they are so beautiful with all their coloured feathers.

| What do you find beautiful? Posted: 3/25/2009 10:20:25 AM | Some feathers are beautiful.
My mom and dad brought home a souvenir from a trip; a tail feather from a peac0ck, which I thought was truly beautiful.
The iridescence colours in the feathers of the males of some humming birds is incredible.
Mother Nature has gifted us with much beauty. The challenge is for us to take the time to see it.

Clarity is beautiful
Sorrow can even be beautiful.
Beauty surrounds us, we just have to be open to seeing it. Even the ugliest things may hold a kernel of beauty waiting to blossom.
The written word holds infinite beauty.

I agree with the above: clarity is beauty because in clarity, or clarification, of which is meant also 'grace' things overly obscure and opaque, are rendered into the open for understanding: which involves feeling, and reason, no?
Secondly, sorrow, is also, and on many occasions a source of beauty, since when sorrow occasions, as an 'accompanying idea to an external cause brought by love, which is an act", also denotes that beauty is 'correspondence' of a possible 'sublime' depth or breath, no?
"Even the ugliest things may hold a kernel of beauty waiting...to blossom"
This really depends on being 'open', 'seeing' and of course, 'surrounds' or the 'environs' which suggests a developed sense of being within the social, environmental and cultural milieu of what surrounds.....
So someone gives you a large number of tomato plants in April, and you take them in exchange for practically nothing: but then in April you find a place to plant them, and succor some basil and perhaps garlic, or scallions, and commit to watering and feeding them, and in August there are some much...you have to find canning jars.

Okay, I know I'm tired after a long day, but you lost me on that one.
I have difficulty finding beauty in sorrow, because it makes me so sad.

Posted: 3/25/2009 11:46:00 PM | | Keats said that truth was beauty, and sometimes the truth reveals; and it may not be that which is acceptable or desirable: coming of age, condolence, harmony, fall and winter setting in, you know...love does not only bring joy, but as well, sorrow, as does time...whether chronologic, or otherwise.

I have difficulty finding beauty in sorrow, because it makes me so sad. A very romantic latin man told me once that he enjoyed the sorrow, the suffering for the woman he loved. Such sweet sorrow!
The song "Beautiful" by Gordon Lightfoot is beautiful: At times I just don't know How you could be anything But beautiful... Think that I was made for you and you were made for me...
Laughing eyes and smiling face It seems so lucky Just to have the right Of telling you with all my might You are beautiful tonight...
And I know that you will never change 'Cause you've that way, from day to day for such a long, long time.
And when you hold me tight How could life be anything But beautiful... Think that I was made for you And you were made for me...
And I know that I will never change 'Cause we've been friends, through rain or shine for such a long, long time.
Now I don't know It means that much to me To be the one who's telling you I'm telling you That you're beautiful.

| What do you find beautiful? Posted: 3/26/2009 4:15:11 AM | When I'm crying, my parrot starts nibbling off the tears as they roll down my cheeks & he starts making similar crying sounds & sniffling along with me. He stops playing & just watches me intently, sometimes resting the top of his head against my cheek or neck until I stop crying & start talking to him in a cheerful voice again, then he'll start getting chatty again.
My c0ckatiel (whom I adopted after my mom died) will go very quiet & repeatedly ask, "What's the matter Mummy?" in my mother's voice & accent, which I find very comforting. I think the compassion my birds show when they know I'm sad is beautiful.

| What do you find beautiful? Posted: 3/26/2009 10:53:21 PM | YOU are unique, and a great joy to me, as before, but do you really cry?
I cried last summer, shed abundant tears, and I do not know why, but perhaps you can explain?
It was hot, the music was salsa (Criolla a Peru), and I was alone, my tear glands opened up....
why? | |

| What do you find beautiful? Posted: 4/18/2009 11:56:28 AM | I find life in general is beautiful, not a bm fist thing in the morning like i wrote on 3/25/ 09. Oh and bye the way , it's not weird to write a comment like that, it's definitely sarcastic though! | |

| What do you find beautiful? Posted: 4/25/2009 10:45:46 AM | I think beauty comes from an open heart.. a single tear-drop, a pouty lip an ugly puppy even on the darkest of days lightning is beautiful. | |

Hair is attractive and so are ears on a man.
A pear on a woman though is a delicacy relished only on occasion when they are ripe firm and unscented
Peaches between limbs, will purr sweet lee
smooth fuzzy peaches on a dam make purrrfect destiny
