Posted: 12/29/2006 9:22:23 PM | Oh...that is as easy as it is complex ..yet so simple Love is: the one person who you look into the eyes of...and feel within yourself that instantly..you are happy with yourself, who and what you are...above all...your totally comfortable with your self around them... the complex part is...THEY make you feel...even without a spoken word totally comfortable with yourself and how you be around them...without words or actions...'the glow' of connection and its this radience that 'glows' from you to them..without words...a rare experience that happens daily with the right person..and once in a lifetime for a brief fleeting momemt for the rest of us..the 'magic' of love..sometimes returned..sometimes not...but still... all in all...a 'moment in time' not to be missed...but to be cherished:))))))))) | |

I hear that and think "ok, how can you really LOVE someone when you barely know them?" Love is thrown around way too much. Some say they are in love but is it love or lust? If you google "what is love" you'll come up with some pretty good quote pages.
I've never been married, don't know if I ever will, sometimes I feel like I may have missed out and nother times as I look I know that things aren't always what they seem either. | |

I think I might be defective or something coz I don't understand it haven't felt the emotion or wotever you call it. I think its all made up just something else to control poeple and make them spend money on presents and going out for meals and stuff like that.
I think I've fallen in lust plenty of times is that the same thing?

loving a member of the opposite sex that is not related to you takes a second...starts out with like and lust...goes to really like and lust...progresses to can't wait to see them and lust...on to living together, marriage or not and lust...the lust never leaves but just gets better and more intimate...when you touch hands it makes you feel all gushy inside, warm, relaxed...ahhhhhh now that's a'more | |

I know how I knew when I was really in love, real love. It has only happened to me once and even though we couldn't be together forever, it was well worth it all.
One day I realized, after 5 years of an 8 year relationship that I loved this man unconditionally. I think he felt the same. He was nowhere near perfect or even few of flaws. He had plenty of flaws. Yet, no matter what the issues, even if we fought and stomped away, we always came back to work it out. Sometimes working it out was a nasty business, but in the trying we would suddenly realize that none of whatever the issue was really mattered, all that mattered was that we were together and forgave and loved. We were fully aware of the reality of who each of us was. We never covered it over or sugar coated it. We accepted and we loved. We were soul mates and meant to be. That is hard to find. It made me realize that even though we think we love our children unconditionally, a little bit of condition applies, because we want them to be and act a certain way as they come into adulthood, because it is a reflection on who we are. With this man, there were blissfully no conditions. We were individuals that were one. He often said to me, I am yours and you are mine.
It reminded of a line in a book I read which was describing a relationship with Jesus, actually....
"The look in his eyes told me that my beloved was unwilling to allow a flaw in me, he would love me until the flaw has been pulled out by the roots. What a frightening thing is love. I shuttered at what would come next."
I can tell you, it is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all. | |
