Hi Poetica,

If you like science-fiction and anticipation movies, try to find ZARDOZ. It is a 1970 picture from John Boorman featuring Sean Connery. The story is about how the humanity could evolve in the distant future. Pretty clever scenario. At the end you will never forget the meaning of the title. It is one of my favorite SF movie with Blade Runner and Terminator . Take care!

Thanks for the mention of ZARDOZ, Santeros.
It sounds quite intriguing and combines 2 things I love...
Science Fiction and Sean Connery...interesting combo indeed!
Will have to see if I can find it somewhere!

Thanks!

The FREE movies under the stars downtown near Place Des Arts
will be back too folks!

Here is a blurb from The Gazette:
"Directors Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni had the nerve to die
after programming was in place, but the festival is offering free Antonioni films
under the stars on the Esplanade of Place des Arts. The entire event is dedicated
to Bergman."

Well, film feeeshies, I am all excited!!! lol

Bought my book of 10 tickets for the festival....woooohooo!

Thought I would mention that when you purchase one of the coupon booklets
(10 or 30), you need to exchange the coupons for actual movie tickets later,
when the schedule is out & there is a $1 fee per movie for this.

So, to clarify:
1 booklet of 10 tickets @$60=$6/ticket
Add $1....so a movie comes to $7....
Regular price for movie tickets for the film festival will be $10...
so you save $3!

By the way, the usual discounts at the cinemas do not apply to
the World Film Festival showings.

For example, the Quartier Latin cinema has Cheapy Tuesdays at $5/ticket.
Film Festival tickets on Tuesdays during the film festival are regular price,
not the discounted Tuesday price.

For the record, you can also buy a booklet of 30 tickets
if you want to go all out.
The cost breaks down as follows:
30 tickets @$150=$5.00/ticket!
Add the $1 fee....comes to $6/ticket.

I may be selling some of my tickets to people who want a ticket
at a discounted price...
will depend on the movie schedule & what films I end up seeing.

That's all from this feeeeshie film reporter for now, folks!

last movie I saw in theater is superbad another coming of age movie with more and more grotesque one liners a sad glimpse into the minds of the teenage male, that said it was funny as hell loved it but still nothing has come close to Porky’s. Last movies on DVD was major league 1 2 & 3. rated good great and sucks.

Comedies are my fav Austin powers trilogy rocks hopefully Austin powers 4 will come out. And I love animated kids movies pixars Cars was great I love Guido and Luigi… Peet stop. best graphics ive seen since final fantasy

also for movie buffs check out www.hsx.com its a site that shows all the new and upcoming films from concepts to wrap.

The site is also primarily a game. in which players are given 2mil to trade in stocks and bonds in their fav movies. Good way to see if you can predict if a movie will do good or poorly in the box office and know what movies will be in theaters 2 years from now like toy story 3 set for dec of 2010

if you sing up pls refer to me as you contact and ill be added to your leauge .. Trento1983
