We were engaged to be married and after she broke my heart she is now back on POF looking for someone else to play...God pity the next man in line... | |

A player plays for much more than sex...
its an ego thing to them. Sometimes its not even about the sex...
but the hunt.
I have met some players... and they were sweet charming guys with nice smiles...
sometimes VERY good looking...
the older ones often have kept a sexiness about them... as they were once attractive
men... but its not ALWAYS so...
players play for much more then sex...
sometimes the "person" is the object... as he/ she may be rich or famous...
super good looking or any number of things...
where he will work to win her trust and get what he seeks from her...
other times its about his ego... getting into a certain leauge ( for lack of a better term)
for his ego satisfaction... and sometimes they seek revenge on the opposite sex... seeing how cruel they can get... after they will her/ his heart.
A player uses people, and thinks of them as disposable, playing games with them...
thus the term "player"....
as they think only of themselves. They will PLAY head/ mind games to gain something for themselves... often using their sexuality but this does not mean its sex they are after...
or that they will have sex with that person. They play with peoples heads, hearts, lives...
and they don''''t care.. its all about them !
They will use sex or whatever they have to gain trust and get what they want...
and they dont care who gets hurt.
To them people are toys to play with.. and use.. as they see fit.
One thing for sure...
if a player cannot use someone in some way...
( and this does not mean only sexual )
they will be gone.

I had went out with her for about 5 months, in the later months of seeing her, my gut
instincts were telling me that somethings just didn't add up.
Well eventually I caught on to her game, and she told me over a phone conversation,
( you are not going to want to hear this, but I live with a guy, and we have an open
relationship) then after this disclosure, she made as there were no reason for her to feel

Always go to her house first...ask her to borrow the phone so you can call and check your voicemail, dial *82 first so their number isn't restricted (in case it is) and call home to check your voicemail. Her number is now on your caller ID at home. Now you can call them at home at some random point. If their husband picks up ask if you can speak to your girlfriend and wait for the fun and games to begin. If she picks up and gets weirded out that you have her home number, then tell her you lost her number, but you remembered calling home the other night to check your voicemail and wanted to say hi so you got it off your caller id.
Best case scenario: You call her home number and nobody's home, you leave a voicemail to say what a wonderful time you had last night (be sure to say her name in the message so it can't be written off as a wrong number call) and that the sex was amazing and you'd like to do it again sometime, make sure you leave your number. The husband comes home and gets the message first and calls you and you explain everything to him and that you didn't know he was married and apologise.
Lets see who gets played now.
I am sorry but that is the stupidist thing I have ever heard! First of all, you better hope she doesnt have kids and they check the voicemail and hear that kind of message. Second of all, sneaking her phone number that way is borderline stalking, besides if she hasnt given you her home number yet, but your in her house?? Ummm, that should be a flag all in itself. I honestly feel that choice of action (above) is very juvenille and I would feel very weird if someone did all that to me, that would be a HUGE turnoff, and no, I am not married but I am cautious, as most women are. Never assume they are married if they dont open up as fast as you men would like.  | |

Posted: 7/4/2006 5:04:16 PM | | ok then, 3 nights ago (to my shame) a girl i have been talking to for 3 weeks calls me at 1a.m. to "chat". says she is feeling really lonely and since we had been flirting was i ready to make it all come true? well, after a little talking i was convinced that she really wanted to play and that she was ready and i felt pleased that she chose me, as she is a great looking chick! so, i left to make the 60 mile drive at 1:30 a.m. to see her-when i got kinda close, she called my cell and asked if i would mind stopping to pick her up a pack of smokes, and i said ok. i did, and i called her back to have her direct me into her apt. community, where she stood outside waiting for me. we went inside, and to my suprise, she had another dude there who had brought her beer! i asked her what was going on, and she said that she was not feeling well and that he and i both had to go. he and i spoke out in the parking lot and he told me that come to find out, her car was busted and she could not leave! she scammed us both for beer and smokes, and that lesson only cost me a 120 mile round trip, $20 in gas, 3 hrs driving and a pack of smokes. neeless to say, she has never called me since, and won't. now, i am a nice guy, an i still say girls are all scammers, liars and cheats. very few exceptions-and if you cannot see the wrongness in what that person did to me, then you are too! stop taking up for girls everywhere or you will be classified as one of the same! bruce | |

Or so I thought, now she's calling me again saying that they are over and that she wants me back and such. Trust me, I am NOT going for that one again, once was enough for this boy. And for those that said the whole no strings sex bit, I agree, if that is established right up front then kewl, but don't say you want a relationship if you really don't. And yes I have had the whole drained bank account happen. Try a house worth $1.6 million on crescent road in white rock, a dodge ram 3500 bayliner fishing boat, 93 harley softtail, 2 quads, all the furniture, all my electronics, oh yes and two children. Still looking after 5 years for the kids, I don't care about the rest. Let her have it! | |

AMEN to that post! I think every guy in America has been down this road. I sympathize with you. And the sad thing is most girls think this is normal behavior. Very few feel the need to be accountable for screwing with a guy’s heart (making him buy her things to prove his worth) and being accountable for her actions. But when a guy scams her, he doesn’t hear the end of it from her. It’s as if girls these days feel a sense of ENTITLEMENT to whatever, whenever and wherever they want it. They have the “sugar daddy” over here and the f*%k buddy over there, but feel no remorse for those actions. Heaven forbid they get chastised for that.
Some advice to all the ladies…

and read message 110 by popsicleman. I think his opinion validates why guys don't look out for your best interest the way you would like them to. When these attitudes and actions change to where the woman isn't primarily about how much money he has, a good man will be anywhere and everywhere you look!!! Come on, why not quit whining, and start looking for the positive people that are out there. We have all been played and hurt. But we must continue to move forward. We all know of some good people. If I get labelled a player after meeting these women, can't I do the same to them ?? Yes sure it's a date but I am a grown man, when I agree or want to meet someone we both agree at least on here that it's just that - a meet.
I met one girl 2 times ( that is my record lol ), i ended up pinching a nerve in my back, couldn't walk, sent her 2 messages telling her what had happened. 3 weeks later she comes back calling me a player.
I have met my fair share of women where what is agreed upon as for a meet is changed mostly by them. I don't meet a woman so she can ask me for a loan, I don't meet them cause they haven't had sex in 8 years and have an itch. I go on the belief that I am just meeting these women. | |

Well actually Terminally, if you check out most of the female broken heart threads out here you will here the words "played", "player", and "play" used at nauseum, so I guess you haven't been reading their posts and only ragging on the male ones... 
Personally I can't stand EITHER gender using the ridiculous term, if you went by the whining of most of the rejected people on here (and I don't mean this thread specifically), it would seem anyone that ever dated them and dumped them is a player... Which leads to the inevitable question, what do the people you've dumped say about you? 
Nothing seems to be anyone's fault anymore these days, and anyone that "hurts our feelings" must be the anti-Christ.
Frankly I'm sick of it, and have long since lost all hope for the long-term survivability of the species...   | |
