| What is your Regular Bedtime? Posted: 7/4/2006 5:45:09 AM | Seems we have a lot of shift workers here at PoF ...myself included.
When I am on days I try and hit the hay no later than 10pm. On afternoons I generally get to bed around midnight...and when I am on midnights my head hits the pillow around 8am.
As a sidebar question...how many hours sleep do you normally need?
I would love 8 hours...but manage around 6.

| What is your Regular Bedtime? Posted: 7/4/2006 12:48:19 PM | My bed time is different every night. Some nights I end up falling asleep around 12 and other nights I can be up until 5am. This morning I was still half awake when it started to get light outside. If I fall asleep too early than I wake up half way through the night and can''t fall back to sleep.
But it also depends on who i''m with. If they go to bed early than i''m more than likely to hit the sac early aswell and just get up when they do. Sometimes I fall back to sleep and other times i''m up for the day and ready to hit the sac early the next night again. But it''s usually the next night that I wake up half way through the night and i''m dragging my butt the whole day.

Now my son goes to bed anywhere form 8 pm - 8:30 and doesn't wake till 8 am ahhhhh so I am now going to bed around 11pm still getting 9 hrs of peaceful sleep.

| What is your Regular Bedtime? Posted: 10/20/2009 5:54:20 PM | My alarm goes off at 03:50 a.m. each morning and I hit the snooze once. So I'm actually out of bed at 4 a.m. I start work at 05:00 but that is great for me. Absolutely no cars on the road so my drive to work is about 8 or 9 minutes. I'm off work at 1:00 pm but the drive home is about 1/2 hour or so. So I end up doing one of two things. If I'm not out in an evening, then I'm in bed by 9 pm or 9:30. If I want to go out, then I grab a nap of a few hours in the afternoon, go out for dinner and a sociable evening and then hit the bed again around 11 or 12 pm. I find that as long as I total 6 hours sleep, or 7 is better, then I'm fully functional and can make good decisions at work the next day. Less than that and I have to work and think harder to accomplish the same tasks. A funny side-note to this is that my body is so used to getting up at 4 am, on the weekends I sleep in for a few extra hours and am still awake at 6 or 6:30. So on Saturday mornings, I do my laundry and it's all done by breakfast. | |
