| Latin people Posted: 1/19/2008 11:08:59 AM | Actually, srvblues, I can read latin and translate it. Latin Europeans get trained in that from High School. I thought that lawyers had to learn Latin too......How naive of Me!

| Latin people Posted: 1/19/2008 4:40:24 PM | Compare a hot blooded southern italian man to a composed british gentleman, for instance; it is a totally different style. But of course there are always exceptions. Compare a mexican made movie with a british made move: a totally different atmosphere. Just different. It is all a matter of preference. Personally, I have experienced both worlds ( Latin and not Latin) and I like to be exactly in the middle: a cool analytical head on a profoundly warm heart.
From a purely physical standpoint, I am far more attracted to dark featured ethnic looking men I have to agree.

| Latin people Posted: 1/19/2008 5:10:20 PM | my first post Question: Why did so many languages derive from Latin
The Roman Empire was huge and powerful, stretching from North Africa to Scotland and throughout Europe. Its influence over local cultures and customs is evident even today. The fact that it was a written language also contributed to its spread. Latin fused with local languages, which also had other influences and developed independently in each country after the empire fell. That's why French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and English (among others)all have Latin roots.
not too many know the real and complete Latin language this days so don't be confuse ,the English language is derivate from Latin too

| Latin people Posted: 1/25/2008 10:04:25 PM | Ignoble Says the caucasian person about the use of the phrase "those people.
Hmm, out of the entire thread and various opinions here you picked upon my dislike for the phrase "those people" to insert your own complaint. Please sir tell me about the rich diveristy of "those people" that inhabit your area. Tell me about how amazingly rich in diversity your friends, family and co-workers are. About how happy they are to be refered to as someone seperate from everyone else.
I would certainly be open to your scholarly input on race relations and the inappropriate terminology that is used to denigrate and seperate those of us that do not happen to inhabit that happy place you caucasians reside where life is perfect. Where past sins do not continue to pose a barrier to those of us who wish to better ourselves and improve our lot in life despite of being handicapped by the color of our skin.
Out of all the people of all races that I have had the privlige to know and call my friends, your race is still the furtherest from being truly colorblind.
I await your informed and educated reply

| Latin people Posted: 1/26/2008 6:45:45 AM | Latin ladies can be very attractive :-)
More open than we are in a lot of ways. However they can be much more easy to offend if you don't speak up when greeting them, assuming they greated you first. Shyness is no excuse, I almost learned that the hard way. lol

I dont think all Latin women are about fighting, screaming....stereotyping isnt right....that wasnt called for at all...I think Latin women are beautfiul women as I mentioned before...the ones that I know personally are just as good on the inside as they are on the outside
I agree, Latinas are beautiful. I'm a sucker for dark hair and brown eyes. So, Latin men... yum.
I hang out with quite a few Puerto Ricans, and the girls do have a tendency to be loudish and kind of bossy. Then again, I can be like that, too. My SIL is half PR and half Mexican, and even though I love her to death (I am the one who set her up with my brother four years ago), I sometimes feel bad for my brother because of the way she talks to him. He can hold his own, though. He is, after all, MY brother.

I almost forgot about the food!!! I absolutely love Puerto Rican food. I had my neighbor's mom teach me how to make beans and rice with her recipe. Sadly, hers still tastes much better.

| Latin people Posted: 1/26/2008 10:20:18 AM | I like Latin people just fine, same as I do most other people. We even share a common religion ... but the similarities stop there.
As I could never understand why so many of them seem to die in volcanic mud flows clutching the Madonna and a 20 pound crucifix.

Amazingly well put. Who knew how persuasive one could be without using the proper rules of grammar and punctuation in the english language.
Your sentence fragments and schoolyard name calling, though simple. Has definately shown me the error of my ways. I shall go forth and reform my loser and whining attitude, so that I don't continue annoying you with my educated opinions.

It's like accrediting to begin anglo to Jim Jones and drinking Cool-aid. Or Karesh and the Branch Davicians.

| Latin people Posted: 1/27/2008 1:49:28 AM | To me there like any other race of people you have good sides and bad and you have to take race out of it and look at people on a person by person basis. I’ve worked around a lot and been friends with a lot.. Over all I like them.
Pros .. Attractive, hard working, caring, family oriented. Strong faith based, kind people Make some damn good food! Passionate.
Cons… seem to be prone to gangs, illegal immigration stuff, at times can be rude (at least the workers that come up from Mexico that I have worked with.) not all of them but on a job sight ..yes. At times can be a little to proud.. Latina, Latina, Latina! Ok it’s obvious.. I don’t go around Swedish Swedish, Swedish. And the biggest.... Geraldo Rivera..LOL!
Last summer I went to a buddy’s party and they had the piñata (spelling?) Birthday party and a party for my buddies going away. Everyone was very friendly took me in as one of their own and It was a great time and very touching.
As I said before each race has there pros and cons so for me at least I take race right out of it and take them on a person by person basis..

ahh. Ready to attack? Based on what argument? On what purpose? I'd take you any time, just for the fun of it. But let's not spoil the premise of this threat, which has been rather positive. So if you want to bash, attack, or denigrate, count me out. Not my cup of tea. Develop a good argument, that is willing to look at history, cultures and all the influences that they had, good, bad, and ugly, and that includes this one, I am in. Just remember dude, it's not about denigrating any culture. Every country, every group has dirty laundry, every group every country has good stuff. So, want to argue? My favorite sport, but remember that I come from the land where we swim with pirañas and rattlesnakes are pets. So "bust open" on me some of my friends.
So, dude, explain your point of view.

| Latin people Posted: 2/1/2008 3:47:01 PM | Latin women are the best lovers ! The only problem with them is that they're very possessive. When it comes to making love...noone beats them. They take care of their man and make sure they (the men)know it. Just don't keep any knifes around....it's their weapon of choice!!!! | |

| Latin people Posted: 2/1/2008 7:41:57 PM | | It's pretty poor taste to group people as any "stereotype" that you form will be based upon your personal experience with the "group" that you are perceiving as Latin. There is a huge variety of people that are latin from many countries and areas. People are not hot or not just because of their heritage - they are hot or not because of the person whom they have become in their life. | |
