If you ever read the womens profiles her you'd see most of them lie. I'm a sexual being with two wonderfull children that are my life! I'm not looking for a father but a partner that likes to laugh is open and wants to explore true friendship. Interpretation. I was a slut got caught. need a father for my kids. Am open as long as he does everything I want him to do. And will crush his spirit when I get the chance cause every man has to pay for what happened to me! Oh and you must be a non smoker so when i leave you at home with the kids while I go out screwin around like an alley cat i know my kids won't get cancer. ( insert demure smile here)

Bah...my attempt at bad humor. Well look at it this way. A mans primary fantasy/need is for sexual intimacy. It doesnt mean using a women as an object, it means we like sex. A womans primary fantasy/need is security. It doesnt mean they want to use men for material gain, it just means they like security. Want me to prove it? Leading magazine sales to men = Playboy. Leading magazine sales to women = Better Homes and Gardens.
When we start dating a woman is getting her primary fantasy/need fulfilled, someone is buying her dinner, opening doors for her, expressing interest in her, and talking with her (women truly LOVe chatting, most men can do without it to be honest). So shes getting her basic dating need satisfied. He isnt. Sleeping with a woman, because of the nature of the act (opens up all kinds of issues) can take a while. So he lies to speed up that process, so that BOTH people get their needs met. Its an equalizer. Now they are both happy. Sort of. So hes lieing a bit to get sexual access. I am not talking abouit players who tell 5 women at a time that "they are the one". But yeh, guys can lay it on a bit thick to get that primary fantasy/need satisfied.
And the poster who writes; "Ms Kitty OP i dont think anyone has to lie anymore just seems that sex is readily availible no matter who you are" is not living on planet earth. Hes living on the planet Venus where such things occur. Dude, most of us are not getting much sex at all!

I mean how many women here have answered anyone wanting an "Intimate Encounter" or "FBuddy" or "Friend with Benefits"? Not many I would wager. Therefore a guy is forced to be looking for a "long term" relationship even if he doesn't want one just to be able to find a woman who will be willing to have sex. Is it right? No. But it is necessary...
For some unknown reason sex is regarded as this "holy offering" that is only given to a special someone who you are in a committed relationship with. Fine if you feel that way, but there are many do who not and just think of sex as a physical act that feels good.
So I can see why men lie... Heck, women lie all the time also..so what is the big deal...
In fact I was told to lie back when I first joined POF because I wasn't looking for any long term thing back then and was actually looking for an Intimate Encounter. I have slowly changed what I am looking for but I still kind of prefer to remain single and not get married or be stuck in anything long term... Who knows... maybe if a special woman comes along I might change my mind and bite the bullet... Personally I would prefer something more rigid though...

As for if i ever WOULD lie? no..i dont have casual sex because it takes sooo much away from the act itself...but even if i DID want casual sex it would be with someone that wanted it at least as much as i did...otherwise what would be the point? if i just wanted mere physical gratification id just do it myself ;) having sex with someone you manipulated or lied too would be unsatisfying and empty...and wrong to boot :P there ive said enough...time for the cynics to tear it apart :P | |
