Posted: 3/7/2008 3:41:31 AM | | Though it's not the nicest thing to do, some guys just don't have the self restraint or tact to manage eye contact when in the vicinity of , oh, say, attractive women, big hoots, things with holes in them...... I think you get the point. I personally am not a fan of large breasts, but if they are that impressive that they warrant a "holy crap" double take, you may catch me off guard. In all things if someone makes you uncomfortable say so. One wonderful trick I taught my daughters was to yell at the top of their lungs, "Oh my god you pervert, does your (wife or mother depending on age) know what a disgusting person you are?". Sometimes making one person an example can set an entire room straight. | |

Yet, they want to be respected for other things, that do not register instinctually as "feminine". And I can only question why they would want to present those things. Those are people traits, not woman traits. I don't want people, there's enough of those a-holes around. I want women. They're better than those neutral "people" traits. I think the context matters here. In some situations e.g. at work, in any professional capacity or even in day to day interactions with strangers, it's generally appropriate NOT to respond to their gender and level of attractiveness, but to treat them "as a neutral person". I don't think it is respectful for male professionals, say, to base their "respect" for a female colleague on her shape when their relationship with her is supposed to be intellectual/professional/skill-based. At work, we should be regarded as people and evaluated on our proficiency at the job: our genders should not be relevant. I think this is a very sensitive area for women because of recent history and the fact that so many women have to deal with a lot of blatant sexism at work -- no, I'd rather no-one at work notice that I am a woman if at all possible because this is what I hear: "Oh she probably won't be able to manage those students because she's a woman", "Oh she probably is getting such good results from them because she is a woman", "They just respond better to a female teacher". My skills as a professional are regularly evaluated at zero by statements like this from men. And by my own mother too, sadly. Yes I want to be valued for more than my gender, to be valued for some of the same skills that men are valued for on an equal footing with them, and not just for being female and possessing breasts, which isn't exactly a defining characteristic or a particularly impressive one to my mind.
In a social setting, where there is flirting etc, it's rather different -- professional skills become as irrelevant in personal relationships as personal appearance should be in professional relationships. Even then, I am not content to be valued merely for being female. It is not enough.
In the above I was referring to women who cover up. Women who put their breasts on display and then demand that people pretend not to see them are just being ridiculous. I can't help staring either sometimes to be perfectly honest. I just think they look weird and wobbly, I don't see the attraction, but then I'm not a bloke. | |

That kind of childish over the top yelling would only serve to aggrevate the situation with most people. Not to mention that your daughters would look a little touched in the head doing something like that in public. Would you want someone else calling you "disgusting" just because you noticed they were attractive? Oh well. I guess they're your kids and you can give them complexes if you want. Some women even like to **** about men looking at them or complaining about being hit on all the time. Deep inside though they still love all the attention because it gives them sexual power.
Some even complain to get more guys to look, so they can too contemplate what she may have worth looking at. The surest way to get someone to do something is to tell them not to.
"Don't look at my breasts"
"I wasn't"
"You are now"
"well you told me not to. I had to see what I wasn't supposed to be looking at"
*looks around, says loudly* "Why does everyone look at by breasts?"

My advice is to go take a human sexuality class or two and pay attention to what drives a man and women to do what they do and don't be so judgmental as to what the opposite sex does. Men and women's minds process things differently when searching for a mate so don't get mad at the man get mad at nature. If you ever get married and your husband doesn't like your bodily endowments than you're going to have a whole set of problems. I could post more info but I'm sure the more you read the more that you think I'm being a jerk, but hey honesty hurts sometimes. | |

Well I don't know why guys do it either! There is a guy that works for me, and he is married and has 4 kids, but everytime he talks to me I catch him looking at my chest instead of my face where he should be looking. I just don't understand all that.
This post helped me figure it out.
Everyone has a face, including the guy looking. But only about half the people we see in a day have breasts. Since they are a rarer ocourance and not something he posses', it's something worth checking out to him. We don't have a set to look at and play with and complain about when guys look at them, so they are a source of fascination.
What do you think? Does it sound plausible? Do I get a cookie? | |

If a woman is wearing a stupidly out there push up bra and they're practically hanging out, then I cant see how she can legitimately complain about men looking, heck, I would even look, in a horribly fascinated type of way... But, I dont like it when men stare even when you're covered up. I always dress conservatively,.. always.. and it really f**** annoys me when men leer,.. I mean,.. REALLY leer. Thats just rude and piggish, and sorry, but I dont look at it as a compliment , or admiration,.. I look at it as being objectified. I am more than just the sum parts of my body, yes, I'm female, but I'm also a human being,.. and I do not want to be noticed primarily for two bags of fat sticking out from my chest. Its ridiculous.

Men know you notice. Why do people slow down when they are driving to look at a wreck on the side of the road? You were born with the genetic code for big boobs. I realize you did not ask for it, but I can tell you that they have probably helped you get noticed by men in your life and that you will eventually find a special one that will get past your boobs and look into your eyes and realize that you are special for more reasons than your large breasts. That doesn't mean he will not want to look at your boobs because for some it is a huge turn on...so consider yourself lucky that you were blessed with a large chest that gets attention and if guys don't look at your face, and you see them staring at your chest...ask them if they would look at your eyes if they were bigger. You can send the message to them in a way that will let them know you know where they are looking. It may not stop them from staring but they will be put on record that you know. I do understand that it bothers you and understand why, but life is what it is. Even Johnny Carson said on his television show to Dolly Parton..."I think I would pay a year's salary to get a peek at them(her boobs)" and she has made a great living using them to the fullest along with her huge blond wigs and her singing.
You can also stare at their crotch and when they catch you, tell them "I wish I had something big to look at too". | |

Second of all you never stated their age (You're probably waiting for me to say something else out of context to drop that piece of info). Third, unless someone is assaulting, approaching or attacking them who cares how someone looks at someone else (unless they're obviously children)? I'm sure if they're older and attractive, it happens a lot. It's human nature. That's hardly a reason to make someone else feel horrible and insinuate they're "disgusting" just because they noticed someone who may be very sexually attractive. Seems over the top to me and if the person really is a pervert or sexual predator it will probably anger them and could make the situation a lot more dangerous, which doesn't seem very smart to me. | |

Female hornines is the big turn on. Overall female attractiveness comes a long way back in second.

Any complaint is required by law to be documented and placed in the employees personel file. Most employers take any complaint very seriously because they can be liable in the courts for large sums. This comes directly from the company that was hired by my employer to teach all employees Sexual Harassment Prevention. It is a required class for all employees.
This is usually reviewed by anyone who is considering an employee for a promotion.
Grow up and act like your IQ is higher than your hormones! It may be natural but it is not legal in the workplace.
cw35 you need to reread the OP. This is not about noticing a womans figure but staring (and being rude). Immature young men need to learn to respect young women or they will be jerks their whole life. Their fathers should be setting good examples and teaching them how to treat a lady! I hope you don't have any daughters! | |
