Of course I look at that to read it, or see what it is, then I have to be the one to feel like I've been busted for something I wasn't doing, ie looking at the boobs! | |

My friend and I experimented doing this once. It was quite amusing. If you're talking to someone and you do a quick glance at your own chest, their eyes will always follow. | |

The one's that stare and don't care that you know they do it ... and the one's that can't help it because they are being displayed in such a great manner . I mean unless they guy is beating his monkey against a rock while he talks with you , take it as a compliment . There is women that meat gaze out there ...so it's kind of a tit for tat world ..pun intended .. | |

I agree. Sagging breasts are not a pretty sight, IMO, and I am very appreciative of every woman that knows how to cover and support her chest appropriately.
Its funny though when I am all dressed up to go out and socialize its usually the other ladies starring at them? I just smile and think to myself you jealous little creatures...lol.
Chances are, though, that (at least some of) those women are not jealous, but that they are shocked or that they pity you (or anyone in your situation). I know I pity women with large chests - I am positively sure that a DD chest would have negative impact on my active lifestyle, and I would probably have the girls' size reduced to a more suitable and (IMO) much prettier perky A or B cup. | |

Give me a break!!! Maybe you ladies would like to invent a 'supportive coral' that doesn't scratch, pinch, bind, leave permanent imprints in your shoulders, and is not the most uncomfortable thing on the planet!!
Personally, I'd like to shoot the original inventor of those torture devices.
If we happen to be very comfortable NOT wearing one, and we don't care if other ladies/people think it's improper, and we don't care if we're sagging, is there anything wrong with that? Who gets to decide if I get be comfortable or miserable?
That would be ME!!
In other words, if saggy bothers you, don't look. I've seen far worse things in my life. | |

Yep. The less support they get the more they will sag. And there's really nothing pretty about nipples that touch the navel. Besides, that can't be a comfortable feeling for the puppy-carrier - especially not in hot and humid climates.

If your bras scratch, pinch, bind, leave permanent imprints in your shoulders, and are the most uncomfortable thing on the planet you might want to consider a professional bra fitting? From my experience women that complain about uncomfortable bras are women that wear the wrong size and/or style bras.

Well, I don't. Bras help keeping the girls up and in shape, and that's exactly how I like them: up and in shape.

You're funny.
Inappropriate clothing? You'd probably have a heart attack then if you saw my closet. I hate shopping and you can kind of tell by my wardrobe. (but I'm comfy)
I'll be 50 soon and I spent most of those years caring what other people thought about how I looked. (however, I still didn't do the bra thing unless I had to)
But ya know what? The day my 44 year old best friend had a major heart attack, everything changed. I no longer care what the rest of the world thinks cause it's soooo not important as far as life is concerned. There are no guarantees that any of us will here tomorrow and if this happens to be my last day on this planet, it'll be a day without a bra. 
you might want to consider a professional bra fitting?
Believe it or not, I went to Nordstrom's for a professional fitting and ended up buying one of their 'comfortable' $95.00 thingys, that now, proudly sits upon the closet shelf.......... waiting........... and waiting....... and waiting...... for me to dust it off. Sigh.
It's too darn hot to even think about adding another layer upon my body. Ewwww!!!!

Posted: 7/25/2008 4:12:21 PM | I think unless they're consciously trying NOT to, they almost can't help themselves. annoying as it is, it's a compliment, in a very teeny tiny dumb way. The best thing I ever did was slowly lower my body so my eyes would meet up with theirs, but for the first few seconds, their head continued moving downward as I did. When they realized and looked at my face again, I gave them a big eyebrow-raised smile. They blushed, but never did it again.  My grandmother used to say, You only hate things like that until nobody does it anymore. | |

Posted: 7/26/2008 12:36:34 AM | Some of us men seem to have no control over the behaviour and it is stupid self-defeating behaviour. I suffer from it too sometimes, in my younger days maybe once a month.
We know you see us looking. We suspect that the first few times it is pretty much a big ego trip for you. So it is mutually beneficial. But then it goes on and on intermittent glancing.
Why does it occur?
You look at the great apes, monkeys, their AA breasts are capable of producing even greater volumes of milk than human female breasts.
The problem is a human females breasts are like a rooster's comb or a peacock's tail: Their large size is purely to attract the opposite sex. In a non-nursing, non-pregnant female, there is a bit of mammary gland and lots of fat, tendons, and supporting tissue.
I suspect the problem is that human breasts are greatly enhanced beyond nature by modern garments. Also, pollution puts a lot of synthetic and plant estrogens into our food supply, plus many varieties of birth control pill and some acne medications, can contribute to unnaturally large breasts.
This perhaps overwhelms 100,000 year old male human instincts, leading to this stupid self-defeating "mating behaviour" of staring at some poor woman's breasts.
Desmond Morris talks about something similar in "The Human Zoo". A species of small bird whose members constantly try to get underneath members of a larger species of bird when they are sitting on the long perch in their zoo enclosure. In nature, the small species normally snuggles up to other members of its own species to keep warm during cold weather.
Morris believes the larger species over stimulates this snuggling instinct. The smaller bird gets beneath the larger bird, forcing it to fly off the perch. So they are get left colder. Self-defeating behaviour.
The only 2 solutions we know work 100% are the one the Muslims use, berkas and berka like clothing, and castration.
It offends you, but maybe it is worse for us. We are driven by this over stimulation to really really want to get to know you, but at the same time the over stimulation causes behaviour that drives you away. You feel bad. We can't think. It is a safety hazard if we are driving. | |

I hate when a woman wears a shirt/blouse with some kind of adornment right across the bust, words, designs, whatever. Of course I look at that to read it, or see what it is, then I have to be the one to feel like I've been busted for something I wasn't doing, ie looking at the boobs!
And many of these tops are designed with difficult to read print, black on red or black, so you can't just glance and get it. It is entrapment!
If it is rude to look, what is it when you encourage looking? ;)

what you should do really, is get a marker, and draw two arrows pointing up, on your cleavage. problem solved. | |

I do know that when I talk with a man I am aware that you dont stand directly in front of him but more to the side so you dont block off their vision...read it in a book called the Wonder of boys..best book ever. Said that going back to when men were the protectors their eyes were constantly moving around....to make sure nothing was sneaking up on their families and if you stand in front of a man you block off his vision and he is going to continue to search out with his eyes. If you notice women talk face to face but men normally stand side by side. So when a woman stands directly in front of a man he is going to look at everything on her...and she is sitting him up for this ...just move to the side a bit and then issue is solved | |

Yeah, sure, North American men are the epiphany of good taste and appropriate clothing. I can see that every day when shirtless, baseball hat wearing, fat North American men in shorts walk by my office... *YIKES*
Anyway, I have lived in Germany 15 years ago, and not once have I seen men's pants with labels on the fly. Neither on a man nor in a store. So I very much doubt that that had been "common" in Germany. | |

You're walking down the street, in a bar, or dining N a restaurant, and a very very well endowed male appeared wearing tight pants or better yet wearing jogging shorts with his "Junk" in the street.......would you stare? would you be inclined to suggest corrective action to the gentleman? or would you simply enjoy the view?.....I would bet $$$ that if it was truly a "Monster" and one you'd never seen b4........you'd B inclined to enjoy the view 4 a while..........need I say more?

Oh please. I wear 36F and there's not much I do, short of staying home under the covers to avoid people noticing them. I do not CHOOSE to put them on display. Genetics CHOSE my breast size and this might be shocking to you, but i really find it distasteful when men leer. It's so trashy. There's a way to look appreciatively, but when tongues are wagging and drool escapes and offensive comments are uttered, it's just tacky.
Generally, the women who choose to put them on display--if they have any sense--aren't the ones complaining, so they aren't really relevant to the discussion. | |
