Posted: 8/10/2006 12:49:04 PM | I would never be so rude as to stare at a woman's chest while she's talking to me, but I am a pervert and make no apologies for it and will ogle every body part available when she's not looking  
I love the female form, I simply can't help but admire it 
Whether I'm getting some on a regular basis or not, I still like to look, it's just a question of time duration during my leering 
Do I consider women sexual objects? No, they are human beings and equals as far as I'm concerned, but that does not preclude the fact that they have bits and pieces I find particularly fun to play with 
I've managed to simply circumvent the problem by admiring from afar and in a indirect fashion (using reflective surfaces like glass and mirrors, checking them out from the corner of my eye, taking advantage of obstructions that mask their ability to discern where my eyes are aimed, etc.)

Seriously though, you are not small in the chest, as you pointed out. That makes your problem a little more apparent. Remember, politeness aside, your breasts are a sexual organ. They are not big for any other reason than sexual attraction. So they work. Ya need to deal with it. Personally I would recommend that if you are showing cleavage, then stop. If not, then when the man is talking to you and his eyes drift down, gently reach out and lift his chin, and say "I'm up here sugar." Really, glances are going to happen, but they are fast and almost involuntary. It's the guy with eyes boring into your chest that goes on for two minutes about whatever that is annoying. They are the ones you need to lift thier chin. Not like you are going to date someone with that kind of lack of self control, but you may startle them enough to make them more aware and save some ladies in the future the same disconcerting experience. | |

Posted: 8/11/2006 5:52:21 PM | Now this theory will depend if your a person of faith or a person of science because it has a lot to do with evolution. See the reason why men often look a boobs is largely to do with how we evolve from being primates. Millions of years ago, when were still primates and walked on all fours. The male primate species would look for a suitable mate. Now darwins theory of the survival of the fittest meant that the female in order to attract the most dominate male need a method of attraction. Hence, the female primate had no hair on their butt but had hair everywhere else. It gave the male something to focus on. Now as time moved on and we as humans evolved into biped creatures, the laws of evolved changed. Since we were now standing rather being on all fours females needed something would attract the males that was more inline with eye sight. Therefore the female breast not only serves as method to feed newborns but also a method to attract males. So the laws of evolution and natural selection apply. If you look at women with an ample bosom they tend to attract the most attention. I'm talking from a purely physical connection. Therefore, these women have the most selection they just have more to choose from.
That being said, human's have evolved much more than any other species. Therefore, attraction will require more than a nice pair of boobs. However, the laws of natural selection will allways play a factor.
So if you were wondering why men look at boobs. Well here is your answer. | |

Its because the shoes accentuate a woman's legs and butt. The same is true for all those different types of bras. They accentuate a woman's assets, which gets immediate attention from men.
I think I have a lot of respect for women, don't treat them as objects, and women I know will back me up... but I got to tell you ... men can't help but be drawn to a woman's curves!
Sadly, I think you're only solution maybe to "dress down" and hide your assets, like other women do. | |

Posted: 8/14/2006 8:30:14 AM | The one gentleman hit it right on the head......If a month went by and not one man looked below a womens chin, whipped his head around to see what the other half looked like, or commented on the shoes, dress, stockings, top ect....
1) woman would not think it was as cool in real life as you do on paper
2) the fashion industry would collapse
3) it would be obvious that al-Quida had introduced a chemical agent that nueters men.
If I had ever needed proof that women looked for this behavour (maybe subconcious) I got it one day walking home from a jobsite. Three or four blocks down there was a lady walking towards me, head down scuffing her feet walks very slowly. When she looked up and saw me she put her head back, "boobs" out, and started swinging her hips. When she got close and saw I wasn't "prime material" she said "what are you looking at". I thought it was so funny. I turned to watch her walk away and she knew I would turn as the hips were now in overdrive.
And 100 ft further she went back to walking head down scuffing her feet.
I realize this is an extreme case ...but it illustrates the OP's subject perfectly
And ladies we do the same thing...suck in the stomach, tighten the chest and buttocks

And just so you know, when you turn around we check out your behind as well. So do you. You also sneak a peek below our belts and if our belts were any higher you'd have a hard time making eye contact too.
Most of us make every effort to be subtle but sometimes it is beyond our control. The simple solution is to say something or briefly draw attention to them in order for us to avert our gaze. One woman said to me "I see you looking at my shirt.", to which I replied "Yes, it's very colourful." Another simply adjusted her tank top which was slipping down a bit. | |
