| What is your favorite travel destination? Posted: 7/1/2011 3:25:07 AM | I live on the border holland germany
imo : forget france italy spain and many other famous places in europe it,s redicilus expensif, smelly crowdy and mostly dissepointing unfriendly people when you finaly get there Canada was never disepointing to me it,s a bit further away but it,s cleaner with mostly friendly people, no traffic jam world,s most stunning landscapes without a doubt, good food en wine not to expensif and very important ,canadians know how to treat toerists unlike so many other spoiled countrys find out for yourself and pay over a 150 dollar for a short train ride to a mountain top in switserland or try a coffee or beer in venetia for 20 dollar each
than visit canada,s famous places and discover the difference it saves a whole lot off money

| What is your favorite travel destination? Posted: 7/6/2011 6:26:32 PM | | Whenever I can, I head for Asia. My favorite place there is Japan. I am split between Kansai (Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe) and Kanto (Tokyo/Yokohama). One of my favorite trips to Japan was to the Sapporo Snow Festival with its giant snow and ice sculptures. We took the train from Tokyo and stopped along the way in Hakodate, the southernmost city in Hokkaido. There we went to the top of the mountain on a cable car and stayed in the restaurant and watched the sun go down and the lights come up from the town. Then on to Sapporo where we watched the snow artists work on their sculptures and enjoyed hot soba for dinner almost every night. We also ate yaki imou, steamed sweet potatoes. Then back to Yokohama to stay with the parents of our most recent exchange student. | |

Posted: 7/23/2011 1:44:20 PM | | I have been lucky enough to go to some amazing places around the world but at the moment my heart is pulling to go to Rome or China (two places I have never been). However, I must say when I am ready for a holiday anywhere will do in England or aboard.

Buenos Aires. Classy, elegant, sexy,
Agreed. I like Mendoza more, but BA is great.
Turkey. A mix of east and west.
Not to mention a whole lot of history and some geographical highlights. I'd like to go back to see Gobleki Teppe myself. Missed that the first time through.

| What is your favorite travel destination? Posted: 12/20/2011 8:04:54 PM | I would be back in Thailand, specifically Chiang Mai and the North. Lived, studied, and worked there for 3.5 years and have many dear people to me living there. I miss the culture, the food, and the people. I do have my sights set on trying to get back there permanently within the next 5 years. But life throws curve balls, so we'll see what happens.
Though Cambodia was amazing and I did not spend enough time there, Burma is next. I am feeling a Burma>Thailand>Cambodia>Vietnam>Laos>back to Thailand adventure in the future.

I'd love to hear about it. POF needs a forum where you can show travel pics.
