If u r a rich underage drinker po po won't touch u, but if u r poor help 2 God they don't beat u 2 hell in a back alley, that u can make it back and some1 who would care!

| Re: I don't understand why 19 - 27 yr olds Posted: 7/26/2004 5:21:40 PM | | and as for the legal drinking age in alabama, i was mistaken. but the reason given to me by some of the state troopers in alabama and georgia were the same. since the u.s. government passed an act in 1984 to set a national age of 21 for drinking and in 1988 they threatened those states with an age for drinking set below 21, they would cut off highway funds. and as we all know, southerners don't always do as the boys in washington want them to do. | |

You didn't follow. It has nothing to do with that at all. One, I don't bust a kid that's close enough to 21, or atleast over 18 if he's having a beer with his buddies and he gets caught. IF, now follow me here, certain criteria are met. He's not intoxicated, isn't driving, isn't an a-hole(big way to jail right there folks), and he tells the truth. Now, same kid, but, he's drunk off his ass, is about to get into a vehicle, lies about the beer I just saw him drink from, and starts acting disorderly, well, he's sleeping it off in the D-cell. I have compassion for underage drinkers since I did it too, but I enforce the law with DISCRETION, since I'm allowed to. You don't see anyone get a ticket for J-walking do you? :/

When I said "if he can die for his country, he can drink for it...etc..", well, what I should've said, was if he's OLD ENOUGH to die for his country, meaning 18+ yearolds. Follow? -Fin
