| People with Motorcycles Posted: 10/1/2006 11:33:51 AM | Hi Brian, Just saw your posting. I just put up a forum to see if anyone in my area would be interested in riding before winter hits. I'm a newbie. Just got my first bike this weekend. I'm starting small till I'm more comfortable. I ride a 2001 Suzuki Marauder 250. Would love to get together with other people for riding in my neck of the woods. Georgetown area. Keep me posted if you do get people interested. | |

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 4/15/2007 12:03:34 PM | Hi there all you bike enthusiasts. My ride is a 2006 Yamaha V-Star Custom 1100. Been out a few times this year so far for short rides, itching for the warmer weather. Rumor has it this coming Friday the temps will take a turn for the better into the low teens. Nothing beats riding with a group of people so if anyone is organizing a group ride in the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand area let me know I'd love to join in. Also, FYI, in June there is the Ride for Dad. Its a great event for a great cause -prostate cancer- and takes place all across Ontario. See the Ride for Dad website

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 4/15/2007 9:44:11 PM | I have the same bike as OP. I would be glad to attend any bike gatherings, I do all the time in the summer as it is. If anyone is planning a group ride, I would gladly volunteer for safety/guide/sweep duty. I have thousands of KM's of group rides, and do lead and guard duty often.
Bring on the good weather, I am always up for a ride.

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 4/18/2007 6:01:44 PM | I few nice bikes mentioned here. Sadly, I haven't been riding in a few years. She's been tucked away under cover in the garage and is due to stretch her legs again. It's a Ducati TT2. I built it 18 years ago. It's a replica of a factory racer that won the world TT Formula 2 championship from 81 to 84. It was never mass produced and it's success was followed by the mass production of the Ducati F1. Except for 4 years, I've always had a motorcycle since I was 15. It'll always be in the blood I think.

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 4/27/2007 12:39:46 AM | I have 2 bikes at the moment, but wouldnt mind making it three.. A monster and a MV Agusta f1000 had a Vrod, but it was a pig....
As to the poster with the TT2 ...... Did you build it using the 600 pantah? I have always wanted a 1984 Mike Hailwood replica....very cool bike

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 5/3/2007 6:48:53 PM | | That's my favorite neck of the woods there- especially going from Terra nova to Horning's Mills. Took a lttle trip along there when I first got my license and really got a taste for riding. And the wind farm! so cool . Like to stop and listen to the vanes swooping. For some strange reason I like motoring along Airport Rd. I think it's the sensation of being on a roller-coaster. | |

I have always wanted a 1984 Mike Hailwood replica....very cool bike Yes I did...... well sort of - it was a 650 Pantah engine hence the nic TTF650. Bought a new but never registered 85 Alazzura in Montreal in 89 from Frank Romanalli and bought all of the necessary TT2 parts to build myself. What couldn't be bought was fabricated from aluminum. 84 Hailwood Replica was always a favourite of mine. I've been a member of DOCC for 18 years.

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 5/9/2007 8:57:23 AM | Greetings from the left coast....We have a group of pof'ers here that ride together almost every Sunday. It all started last year.A girl ,who just got her license and bike, wanted to get some more rides in. She posted a ride ....and we came.We meet at a restaurant on Sunday mornings and go from there. She usually picks a destination and posts it on Tuesday, then those interested sign up.Last year there were anywhere from 4 to 10 bikes.........the last ride we did was in October with 22 bikes. We started riding again in early March and we've been getting 24 -50 bikes out every Sunday. The moral of the story "post it and they will come".Pick a time and place to meet and a place to go and watch as the bikes roll in.We will be having our 9th ride of this year on Sunday(May 13).May I suggest you check out some of the web sites for "group ride rules". "Motorcycle safety foundation " has a good short quick tips to keep everyone safe.I hope you have success in getting a group together. If you're interested you can go to the BC forums and search "ride #" and you'll get a whack of pics from our past rides. Cheers Oh ya.My future bride and I both ride 2006 Suzuki Boulevards C-90 & C-90T....I have the T | |

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 5/9/2007 10:46:37 AM | I live up in the Barrie area and I'm unemployed by choice right now, so I always have time to ride.
My bike, the first one I've owned, is a 1984 Yamaha Virago XV500 (it's a rare model Yamaha doesn't even have it listed AT ALL). Makes it a pain to find replacement parts.
I'm down fo riding where ever, drop a line to me and I'll ride the open road with ya'll.

| People with Motorcycles Posted: 5/16/2007 6:51:55 PM | OK HERE IT IS! This is for June 16 and I will be starting another thread for sign up when I have all the details. It is a benefit ride for a friend with MS Multiple Sclerosis. Each year they do it to raise funds for Wheelchairs, a ramp etc. Now I am not canvassing for the benefit but for the RIDE.
About 100 bikes will be leaving from Toronto, meeting place will be announced and and bunch from Port Dover at 9 am. The Dover bunch are meeting at the grocery store ( only one in town and a fair size parking lot). DESTINATION: Hamilton (details of the address to follow just wanted to get this up)
Here is the deal, you can just join up for the ride or come and enjoy the day. Entrance is $10 and that includes 2 free draft beer and the BBQ. There will be 3 bands and the party goes on till whenever. Beers after your 2 free one are priced at whatever you wish to donate for them. You can also BYOB but remember this is to raise money for a good cause.
As I said before, come for the ride but if you wanna party you are more than welcome the party.
I will start another thread titled "Motorcycle Ride and BBQ" and there will be sign up so they can supply enough food and beer . Hope the moderators let this fly! See ya there!!!!
Hey Bouffon, maybe you are gonna get the core group started! Can’t wait!
