I hav ink as well.. mostly cartoon related, actually..
I probably have the least ink outta my friends
I think ink, no matter what or where, should reflect something about you...
close to the bone will def hurt, like the ribs..
but whats pain... its one sure fired way to know youre living!!
As for getting them done, Ive always found it most fun to host a tattoo party...
I plan on adding alot more ink..
and a branding..

Bring the Pain!!!

Hi everyone, I have read some the postings on this thread just so I know what was going on. I also have many tattoos, actually have 11 of them now. Some of which I have joined together to make large or partial sleeve. Not sure if any of the other women find this, but I have noticed that some people misjudge who you are as a person. They only see the tattoo portion and not the real person from within. I do not regret getting any of my tats as each person has their own way of expressing art. My children also have tats and soon we will be getting a family tat as well in which my son is designing. As I see it, everyone is different and expresses them self differently, does not make them a bad person just for having tattoos. The world needs a little more color....

@Caressa45 Instead of "this end up", why not get "slippery when wet"?

I always get my tats done at Waycool on Queen Street in Toronto. I haven't been there since December and haven't been to their website since around that time. This morning I decided to check out their site and read some shocking news on there. Anyone who may have gone to Waycool or Deuce Tattoos may have met or known of an artist named Stefan D. He passed away in January at the young age of 38 .....Rest in piece my friend

Chuck that's very sad, and so young. I'm sorry to hear that.

OT -
I have 2 tats. I got both in the last few years. Each one repesents a different level of separation from my x, the final when he moved out I choose a nose piercing instead.

I have a flower on the upper part of my chest, didn't hurt much (must be lots of padding there ) The second is on my right ankle and it goes all the way around, It's black vine with a flower on the outer portion of the ankle, some spots on it hurt more then others.
I agree with Leeanne, I did not want anything in spots that would sag much!

I do want to get another, either on my left foot, or behind my ear. Given the others symbolize something it may take me a while to get the new ones.

Saiyan: What kind of branding? I can recommend a really great guy to see in that regard.

I'm hesitant to get ink around my abdomen because of distortion due to any future pregnancy. Don't forget that depending on where it is ink will also be affected by any weight gain/loss.

To Trinity:
I Know exactly what I want branded and where...
I have rather defined back muscles that give me a perfect spot... right between the upper section of my shoulder blades, where my traps and rhomboids meet (around the 7th C vertabrae)
I intend to get two more dragonball z characters, goku and vegeta (the two that represent the two sides of my own charatcer) and Im gonna have them have each one on a shoulder, throwing fire balls at each other. The fire blasts will meet dead centre, and in the middle of the fire ball I want the Japanese symbol "Bu" branded dead smack in the centre... "bu" means warrior in Japanese...
now Ill tell ya straight up... Im very particular about who touches me, cuz one fukk up and Im libel to snap the persons head off... literally. Thats why I only use Mark and Ian, the H.A. tat artists in Oshawa, cuz they know what theyre doing, and deal with clients that will... well lets just say its not good to fukk up bikers tats...
So, if youre guys GOOD, and can handle the pressure of knowing what will happen to him if he miffs my branding...Im all ears to your suggstion.

I agree with you, I too have a lot of tattoos over 15 of them and am misjudged all the time because of them. I do not regret any of my ink and will continue to get more. My motto is "if you don't like it, don't look".

Saiyan: My guy is world reknowned for his multiple strike branding. He does other branding and scarification...he also is one hell of a piercer. Ever hear of him? His name is Blair. You can view his work on bmezine.com

He used to co-own a shop in the gayborhood called Passage. He also pierces one day a week @ the shop I use called newtribe. I usually contact him thru NT.

I don't do the branding thing myself...however Blair is fricking amazing. I heard about him long before I ever met him. His reputation definitely preceeds him. I'd say check him out...if you don't like what he does then don't get your branding done there. Doesn't hurt to explore other options though.

I like some tattoos, everyone has different things that all represent special momentos to them and that's cool. I have two and am contemplating on getting a third. Another idea just came to me about redoing one I already have to make it more unique....hhhmmm.....

I once saw a tattoo of Mickey Mouse underneath a girl’s big toe. I thought it was cute and once I even worked up the courage to ask a tattoo artist about it, only to be told that it was a bad spot and they wouldn’t do it for fear of affection. Alas, I could have been so much cooler…

Im eager to get my branding done and healed, and nows a good time since Im of from dojo training.
Hit me up with the 411 trin... Id be much obliged..

1 thing: WTF???
Tattooing someone.. thats passed out? Are yoyu frickin nuts? If I had an old lady, and she passed out, and I found out you continued to tat her while she was on the nod... buddy Id break your arms, legs and chop off your thumbs ...
thats some stupid dumbassed DANGEROUS shit.. that person could be in toxic shock... they could choke, stop breathing, shit themselves, or go into a coma... how irresponsible. Thats the same train of thought... that would have you copping a feel while your at it.
if they were happy to see it done, than they deserve it, dumbass to dumbass, I guess...
please dont give anyone the idea that this acceptable tattoo ettiquite, next youll be saying its ok to share and reuse needles...

Wow my artist would never keep tattooing someone who is passed out. That's just wrong!

I have seen big guys cry and faint getting inked (my brother is one of them), it all depends on the location and pain tolerance of the individual. The worst location for me so far was my collar bone. Never have I asked if I was done yet but I did that day...lol. It's worth it though. I am planning on another 1/2 sleeve on my left arm (just started it) and it will have a chest plate as well and will be on the collar bone. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Mine are all well thought up. I have 2 that are considered flash (off the wall) and I don't regret them. Most of mine are custom designed by myself and my artist, a lot of time, energy, money and pain goes into my bodyart. I have never had alcohol or taken any pain medicine while getting tattooed. I figure if u need to do that to get a tattoo...u shouldn't do it. Also, it's not good to be under the influence while getting tattooed (thins the blood) and it doesn't hold well. My artist won't tattoo u if u appear to have been drink or are on drugs.

Hey bootyful....I agree with everything you're saying. Like you, two of my tattoos are flash. With those it was simply a matter of I had an image in my head of the tattoo I wanted and I just so happened to find the pic that fit my mental image in a book of flash. 2 of mine are custom pieces (yes I have added since my last post) that a lot of time and effort went into. I can't always get to my studio for face to face conferences so I gave my artist the specs and some sample graphics to give him an idea of what I wanted. Then on the day of my appointment I walked in, picked the sketch I liked best and got it done. The MOST my artist is willing to let folks use is emla cream. Which is a topical anesthetic. You have to be sober when getting inked @ my shop. Every single piece of ink that I have on me has personal meaning to me as well as deeper general meaning.

@ japhyre....no i have not scarred myself or my future children. I like my art! It's beautiful!
