| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/19/2006 5:48:15 AM | They can handle up to about 400 people, serve food until 10, nice smoking place out back, and great A/C. The place in Lakeland was very smoky and the a/c wasn't working. This place would be great! This is a restaurant and a bar. They are open until 2 a.m.

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/19/2006 7:01:45 AM | | The main thing is to know who is from Plenty of fish, as the beach can be crowded with other bathers. One suggestion I have to is tie a ribbon around your arm. Also if all goes well make it a monthly event while the weather is good. This way anyone who cannot make it due to some other reason, can do so the following month. | |

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/19/2006 3:11:46 PM | | We are trying to reserve a certain spot or area or site what ever it is called so we all can meet that that spot, so everyone who is at that spot is from POF so no need for anything to really identify yourself. More details soon. | |

Just do what you think is the best. It will all come together and be just fine....minus the few complainers you get no matter where you go.

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/20/2006 4:23:35 PM | Hey dude, I just noticed you are planning a party at Ft. Desoto Park. I'm a native of St. Pete and have been going to Ft. Desoto all my life, since I can remember. I'm not sure you are aware of it, but there is "No Alcohol Allowed" at Ft. Desoto Park. Please correct me if I'm wrong. My family has always drank there, but have always kept it low key. If you are talking about 40-50 people, that will not be very low key. Anyways! Again, as I said, please correct me if I'm wrong.
I plan to come either way. I love Ft. Desoto! It's my favorite beach and picnic area. I typically go there at least once a month in the summer.
Hope to see you all there.

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/20/2006 5:54:34 PM | This is the kind of get together that I am interested in. I went to Lakeland, and it was extremely loud and very smokey. there was no chance for conversations. I left after 5 minutes.
Count me in for this one | |

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/24/2006 7:17:59 PM | | Hey rockstar...I am new here (Tampa that is) but I read this whole thing and saw no mention of music what so ever. A PARTY NEEDS MUSIC! I need a few more details like, where the "spot" is cuz I think I missed that part but I am willing to set my equipment up and play for a few hours just to meet people. I have 20,000 songs at my fingertips on computer with 1500 watts of power behind it....that is IF there is electricity wherever the "spot" is...lol. Let me know, thanks, Phil | |

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/24/2006 7:19:48 PM | Hello Rockstar,
I am Chris a new POF member, and also the President of Brandon Singles Group. Here is an idea to promote your event ?
We have almost 700 members, many who are also POF members too! We published the information of the Lakeland POF get together on our calendar, and we talked it up on our web site too.
Many of us attended!
I am aware that it is against the rules to post a link to us, so if you want to post your event on our calendar, you will have to do a search for Brandon Singles Group.
We are an absolutely free, non profit group, and all members may post on our calendar.

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/25/2006 3:24:03 PM | OK here is the latest info..........if anyone actually READS the posts....... I have had atleast 5 people say they would reserve the spot and NO ONE has. Thank you all for he comments and suggestions and so on. So as of right now theres alot of people signed up and the place is not set so that means theres interest. I am going to get a spot somewhere for the 12th. It will be outdoors at a park type area. I think we need a Tampa/St Pete group to do this stuff as was suggested a few times by the Bradenton people. | |

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/25/2006 9:40:09 PM | Rockstar & Everyone There are 3 different links for the Fort Desota party so can we link them all together? This is what I posted for suggestions on the other link for the August 12th party.I went to a pof party last summer where we had a POT LUCK PARTY were we have everyone sign up to bring food,(like finger food, hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, vegetable plate, potato & pasta salad, coleslaw baked beans, chips & salsas, brownies or deserts, and any other food you would like to bring) and we also need plates, cups & utensils, spatula, napkins or paper towels, comiments like ketchup ,mustard, and etc,and dont foget the charcol for grilling. It will be hot so we will need beverages like soda, gatorade, water and ice.If there is no alcohol we can just use coolers or use a cup to deguise it.If we can get people to bring fribeese, football, bat & bat, horseshoes, so we can do some activites. We might be near the beach so you can bring your swimsuit. ROCKSTAR, Have you been able to reserve a picnic area for Aug 12th? or is it first come first sevrve? I went to a picnic last week and it was pouring down rain so would be helpfull if we had a covered picnic area especially for the grilling. These are only suggestion rockstar I am not trying to step on anybody toes or trying to take over anything but if I can help in any way please let me know. I am just a girl that just wants to have fun(like the song goes) ha ha Everybody, Please let us know if you would like to have a Pot Luck Party and what food, soda & ect you would like to bring .I will be bringing the watermelon. Take care with a smile. Jodie | |

| Tampa/St Pete Party AUG 12 Posted: 7/26/2006 7:13:25 AM | I made a call to Ft. DeSoto park and got some information from them. Nobody has reserved any shelter under "Plenty of Fish". I put us on the waiting list for a shelter and we are #3 on the cancellation list. Otherwise we will have to do tables under trees...those are first come/first serve and we will need to have 1 person for every table to hold them until everyone shows up. We would have to get to the park when it opens...SUNRISE people. They also have one shelter, which is #10 on the North Beach that is open. If we are lucky enough to get there we will have to keep in mind that we may have to share this shelter with others. The gal I talked to at the park said that this shelter is a "shared shelter" and once again it is first come/first serve. If you people are serious about this and some of you can meet me at the park at sunrise we can try to claim Shelter #10 or at least hold 'tables under trees' for everyone...but I can't hold that many tables myself. Also, nobody has made mention of what time everyone should meet there and if anyone is making signs so all will know where we are meeting at.
C'mon people....a little help is needed here.
