| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/24/2006 10:29:33 PM | | During my first year of college, instead of putting on the notorious "freshman 15," I actually lost 60+ pounds through a self-defense class I took (and I gained the ability to kick butt!). However, I was left with a few very light, almost un-noticable stretchmarks. Oh well... was it better to be 60 pounds heavier with no stretch marks? I don't think so! | |

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/24/2006 10:45:54 PM | OK for alot of women this is a very sensitive topic, I had my daughter when I was 16 so my body wasn't even done growing therefore I ended up with some strechmarks, although they have faded quite a bit I have always been very sensitve about them. That was until I met a guy who taught me that if someone really loves me they will never be something that bothers them, now for all the guys that are saying how GRoss they are and all that, maybe you should get over your shallowness it's not like we asked for them, and if you love someone you love all of them, and everyday I think about the guy that helped me realize that I am still beautiful and sexy and gorgeous even though I have a few strech marks, which I wouldn't give up for the world because I got them from my beautiful daughter!!!
most of the guys on here have been cool about it but for all the losers that are saying there gross and they thought people were hot until they saw there strech marks. GROW UP!

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/24/2006 11:38:17 PM | The perfections make you perfect, your imperfections make you you.
I have scars, tattoo's, piercings, and I am SURE that one arm is more tanned than the other, if a girl is going to stress about that, thats her buisness. Im not. I feel the same way when it comes to her. Strech marks, scars, tattoo's, piercings, whatever. As long as I like her, its all good.
Obviously I probly do, given that most girls with them go through lenghts to hide them, (mainly because of people that make comments like GroSS!! and stuff) So, in all liklyhood the first time your seeing them is during your first "intimate" encounter. If it gets that far, I like her obviously, so I cant see how that would turn me off.
Lets see if this works. Everyone remember the 80's? I do, I remember skin tight jeans, (yuck) But, I had em. I also was just a kid. Just a kid that thought it would be fun to run outside and sneak a smoke that I stole from my father. So, outside I went, smoke hidden in my hand, and a pocket of strike-anywhere matches. Well, everyone knows that two of those rubbed togehter will ignite right? Imagine a pocketfull of them. Now imagine that its skintight. I dont know what tempeture sulphur burns at, but I know its hot. Needless to say, I now have a scar on the inside of my left leg. I would be shocked and amazed if somone was turned off by that, its a funny story, and I learnd a lesson. Use a lighter.
Everyone has imperfections, if you cant deal with hers, perhaps you should move on, and possable re-think your outlook.

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/24/2006 11:54:35 PM | | Well if any of you guys are complete idiots, thinking that a girl can getta way without stretchmarks whether from having a child or children, or losing weight get outta your tree, maybe hit some branches on the way down to beat it into your head. Stretch marks arnt that bad, i think their kinda cool, and warming to see what that girl went through. Its not easy having children. But once again it applies to the guys that arent complete morons, yet for the mature and understanding | |

Are you making fun of me? huh? are you? are you?
No, all kidding aside, that really did happen to me. Was I a stupid kid? Yup. Did I deserve it? Yup. Do I regret it? Not really.
Its part of me, and I get a really amusing story to tell. I guess ill take the good with the bad, it seems that I dont have much other choice.

Hold your head up high, be proud of who you are, and respect yourself...all the rest will fall into place. Good luck!

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/25/2006 10:52:47 AM | Brandy, your welcome. Im a horrable forum lurker, and when i get time ill post alot. Not usually very valid, but it gives me somthing to do, and my typing skills are improving.
Now, you want to know the REALLY funny part of that story? Its true, they didnt ignite right away, I was about 1/2 way down the drivway to the tractor barn when they did ignite. I ended up jumping into a dugout to put them out. Not only did I have to explain why there was a burnt hole in the pocket of my pants but why I was swimming in a dugout in the begginning of may. (And up here, its not really that warm at the beginning of may)

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/25/2006 11:31:11 AM | | There is no way to prevent them at all really I LATHERED myself from the time I found out twice if not more times a day with thick messy PURE$ vitamin E and real coconut oil from my grandmother whome owns a pharmacy as well as baby oil you name it! My mother ordered stuff in from the states I cant remember the name I also did crunches as recomended by a trainer whome had 3 children apparently that helps I did it all folks yes all ate healthy the whole nine and was GREASY from head to toe all day long! And yes I got mine. Not bad but I dont think they would have been worse otherwise. I got mine like alot of women in the last month or two when you baby grows almost a pound a week! RAPID growth. There are some people that just cant wrap there head around the fact that they dont know everything. | |

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/26/2006 10:11:59 AM | NOW THAT IS A MAN, UMM LET'S SEE 90% women, right and that means they has kids. that also means there bodys had to blow up like a bowling ball and then deflait like a basketball when it gets popped. lol
most women who have had kids, have streach marks. most women who have gained wait since H.S. has streach marks. I have see body builders that have thousands of streach marks.. it takes time and pain and your body suffers.
a lot of me from 13yrs old to 22yrs old have them for some in one year can streach out 7 inches and gain 20 to 60 lbs.. yes that fast in a year. from the 10 to 11grades.
MY own son grew 4 inches and put on 17lbs in one year it was amazing to watch him then when he turned 20 he became 6'2" and 135lbs..
The point is that was the nicest [thing to say too all these women]... We all love you for this.
Now for some not all 40yrs old starting menapausal and the body is getting round in the tummy and hips. Could you find a cure real fast.. I am hatting this.. I had a modles body becouse I was one in my younger years.. and now it is over taking me all the ex is not working..
so men try to be kind to menapausal women.. we deserve the kindness also.. Pastor Jewels.

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/26/2006 10:35:36 AM | Im not overly fond of some of my stretch marks. But I'm not ashamed of them either. All par for the course I figure.. Do I find them unattractive? No actually. Its tickled my fancy a few times to see them on womans hips.. I think its amazing the things our bodys can do... and those marks.. that are "so gross".. are just more proof, that our bodys are amazing, and capable of most any thing. :) | |

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/26/2006 10:49:47 AM | | If something happens to your body that is beyond your control how can it be disgusting? Most guys I know have a couple near their armpits from bodybuilding, or a few on the belly or hips. I'm prone to them being that I am pale and have dry skin. The best thing is that they fade with time, so the ones I got on my arms/thighs/hips/boobs from going through puberty are very faded and barely noticeable. Babies aren't the only way to get them. I have them on my chest because I went from flat to a D in junior high, skin just can't handle an increase that fast. I don't care if men are disgusted by them, theres nothing I can do about them. I'm still beautiful and have the battle scars to prove it! | |

All I can say is.....good luck finding that perfect woman......if you are lucky she may take you as you are.

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/27/2006 5:29:35 PM | Check out this blog, complete with photos (it was mentioned in an article in today's Vancouver Province):

Regardless of what you call 'em, stretch marks are a reminder of the transformation our bodies went through while giving life (well, to those that apply)...and that makes them beautiful to me.

| .........Stretch Marks........... Posted: 7/27/2006 7:12:20 PM | | As I tell people, I have the battle scars of life. I have several scars from surgeries on my stomach as well (as well as throughout my body). I cant go back and change my body to change those marks and scars (and wouldnt want to), so I say love your body and get past it. It is a mere thing in the swimming pool of life. | |
