I think If the woman looks past the surface and investigates.. she will find out for sure if this guy is a keeper.. be he more like Steve or Vito.. or a mix of both.. If she gives him his fair audition sorta speak he has his chance to win or lose.. and not feel like every time he goes up to bat he just going to get more of the same rejection hence gravitating him twards older women who are more accepting.
Now if a woman gives Steve a chance and he still doesn't trip her trigger because his lack of bad boy persona bores her then I think she isn't ready for anything serious anyway.. She may be destined for that 30 lbs a divorce and or 2.3 kids to finally get her to wake up to what is truly real
I guess Im too effected by the subject matter to be objective but to stay withing the context of this thread.. I think there are a flood of younger (real guys) seeking out older women because a good amount (NOT ALL) younger women are too busy with the Vitos of the world.
But its enough of a flood to bring about this thread.
Now if all the steves truly got their fair chance at bat the remaining steves that turned out like vito were out on their ass because the women finally discovered their major flaws in time before the womens lives were ruined,,
Then reasoning behind the theory of younger guys only seeking out older women as a means of security or support might be more true.

Posted: 2/25/2008 5:59:12 AM | I never thought I'd be bothering to answer or ask questions here but when I saw this one I HAD to respond because I know the answer! Heard it right from the horses, (younger men's) mouths! They like older women for several reasons...don't put pressure on them to get married, can't get pregnant to force them to get married, don't put pressure on them to settle down because they've already been there, done that, usually don't have young kids to deal with, and most of all....WE'RE GRATEFUL FOR THE SEX BECAUSE THEY'RE BODIES ARE SO YOUNG AND OURS ARE SO OLD.
Then again, there are exceptions to the rule. I dated a man 18 years my junior. He chased me! I figured I'd date him for like a month, just to have memories in my old age, but we fell in love and ended up together for 4 years. He took care of my home for me...mowed the lawn, did the maintenance, etc. Also, got along great with my son and we did things together as a "family". Then he dumped me for a younger woman saying he was ready to settle down and have kids of his own. Now I'm spoiled. The men my age look too old to me, yet I've learned there's no future with a younger guy. Guess that's why I haven't had a boyfriend in the 4 years since we broke up but I'm her because I'm finally getting over him and ready to try again. | |

Love them however decided to date men closer to age desire(ltr). Older can't measure up. Dating male, 48, single, no children, never married (live with mother) that's problem for me, wants to hung out my home, had to put end to that. Only see him on my turns because don't want to spend so much time alone, since stop clubbing, driving to NYC. Dating him since Xmas. Have date with him today because i want to. His organ is the size of my 5yr gran son (smile) so I'm not in it for sex. Enjoy going out and he enjoys being with me. Will keep you posted. My 39 yr is the 1 broke my heart (hurt over pain now) however just started seeing him again 1/08 (stopped 4/07) still care about him, feels like he cares about me. Living with younger women and her 2 kids. His daughter is 14 with his ex-wife. Met his daughter when we 1st met 2 yrs ago. Still desire ltr with younger man.

Posted: 4/17/2008 2:55:27 PM | I have noticed this trend also, and has made me re-evaluate what I am looking for. I have ALWAYS always dated guys younger than myself from a young age. I prefer them. I am a hyper person, with lots of energy, and have found men my age are stuffy, boring, peter out before 10 pm and have no inclination to grow. I actually prefer men 10- 16 years younger than me, we share much in common.
I have had some bad experiences tho with the young ones, wanting to date me only to say they were with an older woman, but have found some really great younger guys who are very mature for their ages.
It is all a matter of preference I guess and perspective. I personally do not see anything wrong with women dating or even having a long term relationship- with a man much younger than herself, guys have been doing it for ages, it is about time us women got to join the ranks.

Posted: 8/12/2008 9:30:14 AM | I can tell you from past experience younger guys like older women for many reasons. We are smarter lol we are fun and we know what we want. Sex starts out as the main reason, then if you actually have things in common it can blossom into something serious. My last serious relationship was with someone 20 years younger, lasted almost 3 years and then it was over. He cheated which one can attribute to age or lack of it or just a bad guy.
I wouldn't trade the experience for anything...matter of fact I don't think I was ever happier, go figure. | |

Posted: 8/12/2008 7:23:22 PM | i've been told by a few younger guys that they can give me a run for my money. some of them even said that i wouldn't be able to keep up with them. i simply told them that if all they want is sex to kindly look elsewhere since i'm not in it just for sex.
my stb 2nd ex was 5 years younger than me...lied to me from day 1 starting with his age. he knew from mutual friends that i'm not interested in anyone more than 2 years younger than me so he made up a fairy tale or a p*ss poor answer to a lie i caught him in. he showed me his driver's license. i looked at it and told him that it's expired and he needed to go renew it. he said he didn't have to since he had his military driver's license. ummm, at the time he's been out of the army for at least 2 years and that's no longer valid. i then said to him....."hmmm, if you're 2 years younger than me then your license would have 1/14/66 and not 1/14/69. he tried to tell me that he was born in '66 and pendot made a mistake on it. i guess he was trying to see just how dumb i am but i'm not. i also told him that if he was born in '66 then he should have graduated from high school in '84, not in '87. our entire marriage was based on nothing but lies coming from his mouth and i sure as hell am not going to go through that again.
now, when a younger guy contacts me (my settings are wider spread because of the pig roast to allow people younger than me to contact me with questions)....anyway, if and when a younger guy contacts me i tell them....i'm looking for "friends only" to begin with...it's the truth but then they also don't bother me again. | |

This guy was everything I was looking for, he was just 11 years
or so younger than me.
I believe I scared him off, because there is something I had
to tell him, and he never wrote back. Imagine you have cancer,
you'd feel to get that out in the open. I don't have cancer or a criminal
record, but it was something I felt I needed to share to be honest
with this guy from the start.
He read the message (naturally). But couldn't bring himself
to write back. In retrospect, I don't think he was really interested
in a long term relationship...what bugs me is that everything about
this guy looked RIGHT in his ad.
So, once again, I have to look for another guys ad.
I just wish they'd write back and explain why: "I'm not attracted to you,
but I wish you luck." instead of not saying a word and you wonder
what in the heck YOU did wrong. | |
