I too find that guys my age are "old farts" in that they usually look a lot older than me and have let themselves go quite a bit. Yet these same old farts want younger women! Go figure. | |

Posted: 7/23/2006 9:04:03 PM | Well, for starters its becoming the "in" thing in Hollywood- lots of older women with younger guys, even sit-coms and movies surrounding the issue. Its in part, a mystique-- dating an olde woman helps mature a man. Also, if you think about it, its biologically better- I mean men die sooner than women do statistically-- so marrying/dating a younger man is just good science. I have never done it though- I'm very maternal and dont want to feel like I'm mothering the guy! lol Though some younger men are suprisingly mature, if you give them a chance-- at least talk to them and feel it out, or if youre horny, go for some fun times!
Seriously-- My mom was married to my dad for 44 years, and he was 11 years younger than my mother. It worked out tremendously well for them. But more than 15-17 years might get me feeling a bit weirded out- still men do it ALL THE TIME... all these tycoons dating young gals... so why cant women take their turn?? lol

A mature woman is what a guy needs. not some young girl thats been "hurt" or "emotionally scarred" as most "young" girls tend to be. i dont want some girl that thinks she has to control me or act helpless. I dont want phone calls on my cell while I'm at work or an "emergency phone call on the company phone to carry on the following conversation: "what time r yim getting off work?" "the same time i always get off work" "OK well theres nothing to drink here and its too hot (85 degrees) 2 walk 2 the store" (150yrds from the front door?!) i personally want a mature woman thats not into playing games or feeling that when im not act work or school, im on "her time." i just got out of a bad misunderstanding.. i mean bad relationship with a girl that doesn't live in reality. telling me im supposed to do this, that, and a 3rd. Kennywood doesnt offer Bach degrees or Masters degree, Idlwild isnt paying me 2 come to their park, and last but not least, i dont have time 2 fill that empty void the absentee father left in your heart/ life. nor do i want to talk about marriage 3 months after we meet! | |

1 - they want a mother figure,
2 - they reach a higher maturity level in their life,
3 - it makes an older woman feel younger being with a younger man,
then why not.....me, myself, i don't need a younger man to make me feel younger. i'm a firm believer that you're as old as you feel and as young as you wanna be. feeling young at heart brings the kid out in everyone men and women. hell, i just had my 42nd b-day yesterday and i still go out playing in the rain, tossing a football around, jumping in puddles, riding through muddy water on a quad. guess that's why a lot of guys say that i'm fun and my kids (boys ages 19 & 12) say that i'm a cool mom.................... | |

hey fessie - why the cut off at 45? is this a magical number??? i love younger men and have no cut off numbers, because i just never know who mr. wonderful may be - maybe 18 maybe 90 - who knows??

well, i prefer younger men; have had relationships - long term yes - with them since i was in my twenties and it is a myth that younger men are attracted to older women because they want a mother figure. usually, these men are simply more mature than other men their age - not less mature - and they are attracted to the worldliness and confidence many older women possess. and let me tell you, ponygrl, being with a younger man does not make you feel younger - no no no - you must be very confident to be with a younger man and you will always be aware of your age, his youth, others' judgements, etc. - it is for this very reason that many older women shy away from the young ones when pursued; they don't want to feel their age and face the insecurities attached to loving a younger man. for anyone, man or woman, who is interested in pursuing this type of relationship, check out the agelesslove website - it is great for busting all these myths and offering support. bisous from france | |

I had a date with a guy the other night, he came to the restaurant with two dogs and chained them to the back his truck when we went to eat. Then he said he wasn't a smoker, well he smoked the whole time and I almost choked to death. I said I thought you said you didn't smoke and he said well I just started again. What a liar!!! His idea was to blow the smoke up in the air. Hello!!!! Up or down you are still polluting my lungs. Then after being divorced for 15 years he still is fighting with his ex wife over money. God!! Well, at least the food was good when I could breathe to eat. Where is that young guy, I changed my mind!!! LOL Needless to say no second date, I like to breathe and smell good.    | |

I am not older acting and get tired of someone who is tired and wants to sit in front of the tv all night long or drink all nite long. I want a man who is nice to be with for an evening.
