it is 80% fakes, 15% photo collectors and cheets,an wanna -bees,
but
the remain 5% are hot fun, if your into swinging /swapping, alternate life-style, try it out.
basic membership is free just like here. you just gotta sort thru the flotsam to find the fun.
if you want extra thing from the site you pay.
it aint fer hung up anal folks.

A few of the big ones are now in court fighting charges due to them "seeding", putting people on to email and entice ones to pay for their emails to read what someone wrote. I tried a few regular ones after my divorce.. lol.. what a joke. .there were many real people.. and met a few.. but they are the same people you can find free on the free sites... such as this one....and places like MySpace. Sex sites, I dont know about, but seems some here have tried and only thing they recieved is an empty wallet. DO NOT pay for any of those dating sites.. they just arent worth it at all. Go to free chats and other places where there might be boards.
Try some boards other than dating.. some hobby interest you have.. church or other things.. see if you cant find someone on those with similar interests to date. I also ask others I come across online, that if they know anyone who might be interested in seriously dating me, to get a hold of me.. Networking lol.. hey, it just might work someday hehe.. I never paid for the site I couldn't message who I wanted to but got plenty of mail myself, I think it all depends on the individual person as far as how you tell who is real who is fake, but to tell you the truth at least over on the sex site you know what your getting into I felt people were more up front and honest, after all it is a sex site so you don't mind saying what you want and you would be surprised how many do want just a one on one relationship. I also mentioned here earlier you would not believe the amount of men over there that are on here also so you never know you all here may be chatting and getting to know someone that is over there looking for whatever. I'm sure there are some women also I just havn't checked the listings , lol. Don't get me wrong I'm not here trying to defend any one who is out to play us, I have met my share of playas, here not there, but if any of us are going to find what we truely want we have to go through a few of the bottom feeders first to get to the star fish...

Posted: 9/4/2006 11:27:51 AM | I have had a profile here for over a year, and while I do get messages, unfortunately in all this time none have been matches. Now I just come to read the forums and kill some time.
I joined that 'sex site' about six months ago and made it clear in my profile that although I was aware of the premise of the site, I was not looking to just have sex. I have never paid for membership, but due to some rule of the site - possibly the number of hits to my profile or because I am a woman - I am able to view profiles and even initiate email contact. For those who can't, there are free chat rooms and instant messaging.
Of course, the site being what it is, I still get plenty of propositions for no strings sex, but in sifting through those I have actually stumbled across a few good people and have had some very nice dates. I have to agree with purple passion....at least there the people who are simply looking for a sexual encounter are upfront about it, and many others are actually interested in having a relationship.
I have recently met someone from that site who is a decent guy, is looking for long term and (huge plus) is very cute. We started out with the usual few weeks of emails and IM's and our first phone conversation lasted over an hour. We had our first date this past Saturday and it lasted until 4 a.m with no sex and no pressure to have sex. We have another date this weekend and I am hopeful and excited about a man for the first time in over a year.
So why not put up a standard profile for a few weeks or months and see how many winks you get before spending money on a membership? Send a few winks of your own and if she is interested and able to email, she will probably notice you are a standard member and may initiate contact.
I guess what I am trying to say is that not every woman on that site is fake and not all men are looking to "hit and run". The most you have to lose is like 25 bucks and you never know, you might just find what you are looking for. | |

So if your in the top 10% of men and message like crazy you might get somewhere. If your only average attractive then dont even bother. | |

I was reading the POF forums one day, and there was a thread from a guy who was (supposedly) in an exclusive, committed relationship who got word that his girlfriend was on a sex site. He went there and found her there with an active profile.
So, me being morbidly curious, I went there myself. The stupid site wouldn't even let you look around to see if you knew anyone, unless you made a profile, so I made a bare-bones one with nothing but a member name, age, and town. That way I could snoop around.
The first thing I found was about half the guys on POF in my area, who are here pretending to be looking for "long term" over there, looking for everything you can possibly imagine.
The second thing I found was the guy I'd been dating for about 6 weeks, supposedly exclusively, looking for everything from group sex to "alternative activities," whatever that is!
That's not even the bad part! Before I could log out of there, never to return, the guy I was dating emailed me on the sex site wanting to meet! Talk about adding insult to injury!
I never talked to him again, and I never told him why. IMO that was one situation where he didn't deserve an explanation. Although for a minute there, I did toy with agreeing to meet him on the site, and then showing up! Or sending a guy friend in drag, in my place! THAT would have served him right, but I decided to write him off instead. | |
