| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/26/2005 1:27:15 PM | shhhhhh leave Paula alone....shes in love with Constantine now...hehehe...we fans need her help...lol!!! heck let them sue abc...who gives a flying you know what....they want to expose them before the finals which I think would be great..if it doesnt happen we all know that the popular vote WILL NOT win..because whomever Simon wants wins(both Simons)...its just that way it seems...and it will leave two young men out in the cold...you have to put stage presence in with how they sing...and if people would do that the final three should be ....Bo ...Constantine...and Vonzell | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/26/2005 8:58:01 PM | I will close my eyes and pray this was just a nightmare this evening....oohhhhhhh what a bad show! | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/26/2005 9:12:54 PM | Exposes? Lawsuits? Oh, the drama! Could American Idol be fixed? Could Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell be co-conspirators in a scheme to defraud America of their right to democracy? Could Paula be using American Idol as her own personal harmonic playground? Could Randy….uh, what the hell could Randy be doing other than being thankful he has a job? Things that make you go hmmmm…..
Seacrest, 2nd week in a row looking smart in a button down shirt and suit coat, and his hair all combed to the side. Look at you, all ready for your Sears Portrait! Speaking of Sears, at least now no one will yell out, “Hey Ty! I love Extreme Home Makeover!” when they see him shopping for powertools.
We cut to a shot of Ty, I mean, Ryan interviewing the remaining 6 in the backroom, making a note that there are 2 girls left and “the rest boys.” (Very important! Take note!) Ryan asks Anthony what he was doing for the new millennium. Anthony advises that he was 14, a freshman and that he attended a party… adding, “What happens in Pennsylvania, stays in Pennsylvania.” Yeah, because the Amish NEVER kiss and tell. What the hell does that mean?
Tonight we get a little glimpse into the home life of each contestant, which makes their families happy. And tonight, they sing songs from the new millennium, which makes all the bubble gummers texting their votes in happy. Wasn’t that strategic, er, I mean nice of American Idol?
CARRIE UNDERWOOD – She fishes, she feeds cows, and SHE’S HOT! (Baby, you can milk my cow any day!) And tonight, she is seriously competing with Vonzell for whitest teeth. Carrie has the look, and the personality, but she just didn’t have the voice. Her vibrato was all over the place and she was definitely pitchy. Yes, she likes country but couldn’t she have chosen a more recognizable song? Not her best performance, but still a fun performance and enough to keep her safe. Paula chimes in, but she doesn’t seem her chipper off the wall self. She seems a bit jittery, but substance abuse withdrawl can do that to you.
Hey everyone! It’s Clay Aiken! And he’s got no socks! Hey everyone! It’s Ryan Seacrest and he has no improv skills!
BO BICE – Judging by Bo’s psychedelic ensemble, we learn that Bo is short for Bohemian. We also learn that Bo has a house, dogs, a turtle, cats, and an average looking girlfriend. Forget the girlfriend, check out the MILF, I mean, the mom. What the hell is she doing with an old guy like that? I'd vote for Bo just to see more of his mom.
A great song choice for Bo, choosing a recent Gavin DeGraw top 40 tune. Great stage presence, and good flow on the melody. Last 2 weeks have been great for Bo. Randy exclaims, “The true rock star in you!” which with a mouth full of ham on rye sounded more like “The blue cop car is new!” (doing the baseball motion) SAFE!
VONZELL SOLOMON – Baby V, neighborhood black belt mail carrier. Stealing mail is a federal offense, and she will kick your ass if she ever catches you doing it. Vonzell belts out a Christina Aguillera tune, all while still learning to walk in heels. Not her best performance, but enough to keep her a crowd favorite. Randy says, “You sang it!” Paula mumbles, “You turn on this magic. It’s beautiful.” And Simon says, “Not as good as you thought” and he is right. It probably sounded better live than on tv. But America still loves Vonzell.
ANTHONY FEDEROV – You know what I thought was classy about Anthony’s background clip? That they really didn’t go into a sob story about what a tough life he had with the tracheotomy. His parents were genuinely proud of him, playing an early recording of Anthony crooning. Much like nails across a chalkboard, Anthony’s 2yr old warbling also brought tears to his parents eyes. Or maybe they just thought he was special. I dunno. I always sucked at reading people.
Anthony looks sharp in a button down shirt with a pinstripe suit. He sings, “I Surrender,” which on any given night, I would have thought to be well placed symbolism. But Anthony is dead on, singing almost flawlessly. The tone deaf Randy claims his “low notes need work.” But Simon tells him he is a brave man. Damn! This guy is proving harder to get rid of than green fungus on a gas station toilet seat. Personally, I didn’t like the song but must admit Anthony sang it well.
CONSTANTINE – We learn a little about Constantine’s greek heritage and how tough it was for him to have a name like Constantine. We also notice that he looks a lot like his father, and that his father looks a lot like an undertaker. (somberly) I am so sorry for your resemblance. Please accept my condolences.
This fine young greek boy gave us, without question, the worst performance of the evening. Good God. The song How You Remind Me by Nickelback is the most airplayed song of the decade, if not THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF RADIO! It has been played to death! Not only did Constantine choose this song, he sounded horrible. His vocals didn’t blend with the music at all. And the dramatic acapela pauses were way short on oomph. Constantine definitely took a dive on this one.
Randy tells him he was “High on performance, low on vocals.” Paula tells him it wasn’t her favorite song, but he is still “an amazing performer.” Simon tells him it was a bad imitation of the original. Constantine ignores them all and points out his mom in the audience. “My mom’s here!” to which Ryan acknowledges her, referring to her as “mamacita.” Now, I’m no greek etymologist, but… isn’t mamacita Spanish? Fool! Stick to the script!
SCOTT SAVOL – Unlike Anthony, Scott milked his hardship to the limit. He had it tough, he tells you. His mom talked about tough he had it. His stepdad talked about how tough he had it. But he is the Average Joe. According to his mom, he is “the heart and soul of America. He tells us that if you go to Ohio, you’ll see a “million guys like me.” Wow, I never realized Ohio was full of tank top and track suit wearin’ rapper wannabes who beat their girlfriends. I’ve never really seen that on any of the travel brochures… then again, I really haven’t planned many romantic getaways to Cleveland.
The second horrible song choice of the night with Dance With My Father. Scott took it rough from the judges, but I didn’t think it was a bad as they claimed. Simon noted that he “should pack his bags tonight.” At this point, Scott is thinking he hasn’t hit his girlfriend in quite a few weeks and it would be nice to get back to his regular routine.
AGSTANG GIVE THE BOOT TO: Remember the important key in the beginning of the show? 2 girls and the rest guys?. No way Fox would turn this into a sausage fest. Viewers would click the channel in droves. Vonzell and Carrie aren’t going anywhere, so that leaves which guy?
Constantine. It is definitely a toss-up between Scott and Constantine. As much as I have grown to dislike Scott, I didn’t think he did as bad as Constantine. Poor song choice and poor vocals. I said it would come down to one rocker standing, and Bo will be the one after this week. I was torn on this one, and it’s getting tough… but I’m going with the one I thought has the least amount of talent. But… one does have to think…. Did he sabotage himself on purpose?
Think about it. Constantine has a new album coming out with his band on an indie label, so he really doesn’t need Idol anymore. Even if he had a shot in hell at winning, Simon’s record company couldn’t put out a competing album. It wouldn’t be a smart marketing move, and they would lose money whether they put out the album or waited. And, if they waited and Constantine’s indie album tanked, that would also have ill effect on the Idol solo sales. If he can’t make it with his band, how could they expect him to do well on Idol sales? So…. Either Constantine did this on purpose to get out, or Fox will ensure he won’t move on. Either way, he’s a goner. See how it works now?? I don't think even Paula can save him now...
Ahhhhh-men. | |

| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/27/2005 7:32:48 AM | | I've started posting bits and pieces of this stuff on the AI site. I can only imagine the stir I will cause among the faithful. Sadly, there are just WAAAAAY too many threads on that site. My stuff will just get lost among the shuffle. | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/27/2005 8:39:41 PM | I am really saddened to see Constantine go tonight. Bo chose a great song and had great stage presence. I heard someone one there has 35 million votes.. gotta be Scott or Anthony to keep them there lol | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/27/2005 8:44:50 PM | They said the one going home had gotten 35 million votes this year...it was Constantine...I am thinking its all a nightmare now....and I just tossed a brick at myself....NO MORE VOTING FOR SCOTT FROM ME!!!!! .....I gave him some here and there...but his laughing at Constantine when he left made me extremely angry Agstang was right Im thinking with the whole band thing...America did not vote Constantine off...Simon F. did...I cannot wait to see what they will expose about Fox...I hope it kills the show..if they cant be honest why let America vote. | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/27/2005 9:24:13 PM | STUPID STUPID STUPID....
CANT BELEIVE IT...SCOTT NEEDS TO GO FAR AWAY
STUPID STUPID STUPID....THEY SENT MONE CONSTANTINE...MORONS....

| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 4/28/2005 6:44:51 AM | I'm telling you.. though the voting process does play a little in the decision.. I am truly convinced that if the votes don't go the way of the higher ups, they manipulate it to suit their interests. You can't tell me that they don't have their top 3 picked out before the show even begins taping, and then sit back and watch how it unfolds. As some performers grow (like Vonzell), they may change their mind and rework the game plan, but they know who they want early on. And, part of that manipulation comes from the judges feedback, knowing folks watching will take that to heart before calling in. (Yeah, yeah.. Simon's right.) It doesn't always work, but it does influence them more times than not.
Vonzell is one of my personal favorites, but I don't think she will win. Why? It doesn't make good business sense. The last 2 winners were African American R&B artists and their sales have proved under expectation. Clay Aiken has been more successful than Ruben Studdard. So the Fox folks need to make sure someone wins who people will believe they chose, and who will rake in the money. Who can it be?
If you believe in algorithms and patterns, and have reviewed past winners and associated demographics, then this year's top 2 should be a white male and african american female. That means Bo and Vonzell, in my opinion with Bo being the winner. If you look at it from a marketability standpoint, then you will probably have Carrie and Vonzell, with Carrie being the winner. Simon Fuller needs another Kelly Clarkson, and would LOVE to have a successful runner up akin to Clay Aiken. He needs the minority in there to keep the minority vote/ratings going until the end. So it would make perfect sense to have a Carrie/Vonzell matchup, with Carrie the winner.
So, that's my early prediction... we'll see how it pans out. Will it be Bo/Vonzell or Carrie/Vonzell? Look for Anthony or Scott to go next week (which will be based on performance... they're pretty even).
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 5/2/2005 1:28:10 AM | | Carrie will not win because more guys have been the successful ones this season and because Carrie sings country but country music just doesn't have a big enough market. The final will be among Bo/Anthony/Carrie leaving Vonzell and Scott as the ones to get eliminated sooner. Vonzell can win, I'd like to see her win but unfortunately it won't happen. | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 5/2/2005 7:03:19 AM | Thanks to Bo's previous drug convictions, he can kiss his chances of winning idol goodbye. Even if all the stoners got together and actually could stay awake long enough to vote for him to win, Fox would never let it happen. This is American Idol.... keyword IDOL. Someone with a history of drug use is not something the youth of America buying these albums should idolize. Couple this with the fact that Bo admitted that he auditioned for American Idol on a bet with his mom.... yeah, he needs to go.
I'm going to disagree with joey on the guys being more successful this season. I think that was the case in the beginning, but you can't discount Carrie or Vonzell. They were really the only serious contenders of all the women, with the exception of Nadia, and they're in it to win it. That's what counts in the end... not how many have been successful, but who is most successful at crunch time. And I wouldn't pin a country label on Carrie because... wasn't that what Kelly Clarkson was known for? Look at her now. I think viewers take that into consideration (that and the fact she pulled off that Heart song pretty well!)
Anthony and Scott still need to be weeded out, but after Bo's revelation... I think Fox is still trying to gauge which bottom 2 will draw in the most viewers... Bo/Vonzell or Carrie/Vonzell. You WON'T see Bo/Carrie, that's for sure, because you will lose the minority demographic. But, depending on how many panties get bunched up in a wad.... you may still see Bo/Vonzell. But, Vonzell will be the victor of that matchup. With Carrie/Vonzell, it's gonna be an anything goes voting process (with the few heterosexual men calling in to vote voting for the hottest chick) with Carrie eeking out a victory. If I were Vonzell, I'd have my family calling in for her AND Bo.
Heed my words... heed my words...
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 5/2/2005 6:11:46 PM | yeah....I think they leaked it on Bo on purpose..why didnt it come out before now...they have known since day one that Carrie was who they wanted...they have....they play us for fools...I am no longer voting for anyone but will watch and see just how far vote for the worst is going to get Scottie boy...but you know what...I think with everything thats happened this week with Constantine going home they just may fix it one more week to get rid of him to right the wrong that happened last week...man those forums are jumping over there..they are out of control....lol...yeah I was signing all kinds of things....but now I feel that they need to leave Constantine alone and let he and his band move along...they were at #2 on amazon the other day and its not even in the stores yet...myself I think he would be better solo. | |
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 5/2/2005 9:57:38 PM | Scotty may suck but he has the higher up votes.
Vonzella wont win because Fantasia did.
Carrie may take it but they are not sure they want to go that route because they had a Kelly.
Bo is different, but he is a rocker so he wont win.
NOW Anthony is the under dog ... so if he doesnt go he may slide thru.
|
| Fox Lawsuit Posted: 5/3/2005 6:15:13 AM | Anthony won't win because he is so vanilla, I guarantee he will have the most dismal sales of any American Idol ever if he wins (which Hell has a better chance of blizzard like conditions). The man lacks personality. They gave him a makeover, but you can't change his personality. Clay Aiken went from geek to chic, but in the long run... I don't think he'll have the staying power. But he'll always be number 2 behind Kelly.
They want someone who will go the distance and sell the records... what they need is another Kelly, and the closest they will come will be Carrie. (Damn, her name even ends with an EE sound, just like Kelly). Vonzell will not take it because they've already had 2 african american R&B artist winners in a row who have fallen short of expectation... the only reason Ruben won was because they needed the minority demographic to win (granted, he was talented, but Clay had it in the final weeks), and the only reason Fantasia won... well, she was the most talented and she did have personality and... sheesh, Diana DeGarmo was the only alternative. How could she not have won? They want another Kelly.
By the way, took my 4yr old to see Kelly Clarkson the other night. She was pretty good. It was a decent show.

| THE WOMEN SUCK EVEN WORSE Posted: 5/3/2005 11:07:03 PM | I've been watching american idol since the beggining and I've always loved anthony. I think he should win and carrie should come in second place. I was real mad when constantine got out | |
|
| And The Beat Goes On Posted: 5/4/2005 4:56:13 PM | And then there were 5! And so begins the double song competition, where contestants sing 2 songs and audience get double the torture! Tonight's Episode: Something Old, Something New.
ANTHONY FEDEROV: The glasses are back! And so are the poor song selections! Anthony cranks out Poison Ivy as his first choice, which reminded me of all those movies where we hear people singing in the shower. Garbled, and sometimes drowned out by the beating of water onto the shower curtain. With such an amateurish performance, one could only hope his second selection would have been redeeming. NOT. Using a ballad as his 2nd choice, he had nowhere to go but down.
Paula says, "This was my favorite...uh... who wrote this again?" Simon says it was an "insipid and amateurish performance." I agree, mostly because I like the word "insipid."
SCOTT SAVOL: Master props to Scotty. His hairplugs look great! You can barely see the roots! Ya gotta give this guy credit, he pulled off a great double performance, even throwing a jab at Simon with the lyric "Said I wouldn't dance no more... on broadway." When Scott sings, he has a sort of Aaron Neville quality to him. I mean, he's not hulkingly enormous with a potato sized mole growing out of his eyebrow, but his vocal ability is comparable.
After his first performance, Paula says.."Moxy! You have...a connection...and, uh... tongue in cheek...I think I heard... uh... George Benson.." WHAT?!? I think what Paula said before her crack addiction kicked in was, "Good job, Scott!"
VONZELL SOLOMON: Ohhh, bounce for me girl! I'll treat you nice. Ya know, her first performance was just ok for me. I didn't get all warm and fuzzy inside, but she looked hot in that brown dress on her 2nd performance. There is absolutely nothing this girl can do to keep her out of the top 2.
BO BICE: Excellent song choices, but why is he ignoring his stylist's advice? He looks more like a contestant on Survivor than American Idol. I wonder if he stopped taking showers, too. Maybe there is a point he's trying to prove, "Poor hygiene isn't directly proportional to singing ability." Scary.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Absolutely beautiful. But, do all Southern girls have big teeth? Talk about picket fences. Ah, well. Good fences make good neighbors... and I wouldn't mind her tongue borrowing a cup of sugar from my tonsils. What the hell am I talking about?? Judges loved her and I thought she had a purty mouth. (insert banjo music here) Vonzell and Carrie continue to make strong headway for the top 2.
AGSTANG GIVES DA BOOT TO: Come on. It's obvious. Scott and Anthony are the worst of the 5 and Anthony clearly was out of his league last night. Not only was his first song selection horrible, but he was pitchy. And then following it with a ballad? Suicide. Look for Anthony to be booted off tonight. Without a doubt.
THE WILD CARD: It seems there is a website out there that encourages people to vote for whom they think is the WORST idol, attempting to manipulate the system. It seems these folks (who are growing in number) call in repeatedly for the person they've identified as the worst person.... Scott Savol. If this is true, then Scott is being saved week after week by this band of individuals. Scott didn't need any help this week, but it makes sense. There were a couple of weeks where Scott should have been sent packing, but strangely enough... survived. (But, this doesn't explain the****oach like survival abilities of Anthony). If FOX doesn't do something about it, we just may see Scott beat out Bo, and maybe even...God forbid... the number 2 spot. It could be a classic clash of good vs. evil as this group goes head to head with the remaining faithful out there who pin their hopes on Carrie or Vonzell. No way they will out vote them, but if their numbers continue to grow, and more than likely if your idol got booted you may just feel inclined to join the cause, they may do some serious damage.
Interesting that this wasn't thought of in past Idols. But, I guess with all the conspiracy theories (Constantinians Unite!) out there, and Paula's indiscretions revealed, disgruntled voters may make the difference in the final outcome. Could this be the last year for Idol??
Nice knowing you, Anthony!
|
| And The Beat Goes On Posted: 5/4/2005 6:52:02 PM | | Don't watch the show, and I'm not a fan but I think this guy who says Paula Abdul got in his shorts and gave him tips to win is full of cr*p... | |
|
| And The Beat Goes On Posted: 5/4/2005 8:03:45 PM | Okay...So I don't watch this...but I'm waiting to read "Agatang's Offical Am. Idol Post" <----Waits while he finds his notes....so that he can break it down for us all!!!! | |
|
| And The Beat Goes On Posted: 5/4/2005 9:45:46 PM | Thank god Scott is gone. Now Anthony needs to go. If they boot Bo for drugs he still got his 15 minutes of fame and it helped to boost his album sales. I watched fallen Idol tonight. A few things struck me as odd..being cell phone records don't lie and he would have to be really good doing research to figure out Randy Jackson sang with Steve Perry...then go on to sing a Steve Perry song. Also that was Paula's voice on the answering machine. If Cory Clark has a new album coming out. Perhaps he figured it may boost sales. Only they know what happened. | |
|
| And The Beat Goes On Posted: 5/4/2005 10:59:06 PM | Im sad that Scott got out and Anthony shouldn't be the next to go !! He should win | |
|
| And The Beat Goes On Posted: 5/5/2005 6:41:27 AM | I'll tell you, I was a little surprised at the outcome, however... when you think about it... this whole show is BS. Anthony clearly was the worst singer, and had the worst song choices of the evening... but he continues on? I'm not a big fan of Scott, and I've been counting down the days til his departure, but he didn't deserve to go just yet. It would have been nice to keep the villain around for a little while longer.
Based on this last vote, things could get ugly. I'm thinking AI could lose some serious credibility this season. What am I talking about?? When has this show EVER had credibility! Paula Abdul as a judge of talent??? PLEASE!
|
| And Then There Were Four... Posted: 5/11/2005 4:44:24 PM | And then there were four… Ryan touches on the range of emotion over the last week, bordering on shock and outrage over the American Idol controversy of … Scott Savol. The crowd goes wild in support of Paula, mostly all the moms wishing they could do a young stud 20yrs their junior, and mostly the men wishing they could do a horny little drug addicted minx like Paula Abdul. YAY PAULA!
What will our idols sing this week? Quick segue to Ryan Seacrest, wearing something from the wardrobe closet of Mr. Roarke on Fantasy Island, telling our contestants that they’ll be singing something from the North (Philly) and South (Nashville). And in case they had a real bad sense of direction, here’s a giant map. Follow my finger and… Tatoo! Fetch me my cane! Smiles, smiles everyone!
CARRIE UNDERWOOD – Song 1: Is it me or is Carrie’s butt a tad smaller? Regardless, she is still super hot and had me at “Ya’ll likes my big teeth?” Carrie cranks out her version of Sin Wagon by the Dixie Chicks, which in my opinion sounded a little flat. But the judges liked it and gave her mad props on performance. Song 2: Thank God for the tears for her family to gain sympathy, because she certainly isn’t going to get it on this version of If You Don’t Know Me By Now. Boring, and these folks really need the 2nd song to be the strongest. It’s that 2nd song that makes the difference, the 2nd song is what folks remember before the dial in. Carrie just didn’t pull it off.
BO BICE – Song 1: Shout out from the family emphasizes what an odd couple his mom and dad are. Forget the dad, we obviously woke him from his sleep for filming. Check out the mom! Strangely… he looks like neither one.
Song 1: A little Travis Tritt for the country folk. He actually sounded good. When he sang it, it didn’t really sound all that country… which is a GOOD thing. Did I mention his mom was hot? Paula says, “So we say we… I think now…pick songs that…challenge.” Paula’s feedback sounds like someone flipping through radio station channels on an old knobbed radio. Kinda like Close Encounters when aliens take over the car radio… maybe that explains it. Paula is an alien… and alien who sleeps with young boys. (in robot alien voice) Take me to your weiner. Song 2: Money, Money, Money, Money… he is definitely Money. This version sounded great. I would have given him a standing O, too. The boy is SAFE! Toke it up, dude!
VONZELL SOLOMON – Song 1: Vonzell isn’t country. Vonzell wouldn’t even be caught dead driving through Memphis. Vonzell can’t do Tricia Yearwood and Vonzell knows it. So, what do you do when you suck ass while singing a song? You cry. Song 2: Don’t Treat Me This Way she sings, and she sang it well. I’m telling you… this was one shrewd strategy. No doubt this was calculated. Start weak, shed a few tears for sympathy and then wrap it up strong. See? I SHALL overcome! BRILLIANT! “I get all choked up when I see my dad..” Yeah, if my dad looked like Bobby Brown age 70 AND was pimpin in a mustard yellow suit complete with Cool Moe Dee glasses, I’d be all choked up, too.
ANTHONY FEDEROV – Anthony’s parents go before the camera and express their love for their son…”We are so proud of everysink you haff accompleeshed. Pleece do not tell dee Americans anysink becoss KGB ees watchink. Keel moose and squirrel!”
Song 1: I couldn’t get more syrupy than if I had opened up a can of DelMonte fruitc0cktail. Already There by Lonestar was very bland to me. Although… was that a tear I saw gleamin in Randy and Paula’s eyes? You gotta be kidding me. Song 2: If Carrie Underwood’s version wasn’t torture enough, we had to hear Anthony sing yet again another sappy love song. Ugh. Randy and Paula, though not liking the Carrie version, tell Anthony that he “nailed it.” Simon tells Anthony he doesn’t have soul (and neither did Clay Aiken, but obviously you don’t need soul to bring in da bank roll. Now what I’m sayin? Huh? Nyahhnyaaahhhh.):
AGSTANG GIVES DA BOOT TO: Anthony Federov. Although, this may be wishful thinking on my part. Bo was flawless in my opinion. Vonzell started off weak, but with a few tears and a strong finish, she’s definitely safe (demographics, people! Demographics!) The only other person I see in danger is Carrie, whose strategy seemed to be the exact opposite of Vonzell’s… and this will definitely hurt her. Anthony seems to have a strong following, strong enough to unseat Scott Savol. So it is that contingent that just may keep him in there against the only one with a weak spot...Carrie.
I’m still going with Anthony and am placing my chips in the fan following of the other contenders. It’s time for Anthony to go. It’s been a great run and he should be proud of himself, but let’s face it. Out of all former idols, this guy has the least amount of personality. And these Idol producers want another cashcow. And there ain’t no milk left in Anthony Federov.
(Hands in prayer motion) And please, God. Don't let Carrie Underwood leave tonight. She's purdy.. and I likes her. Amen
|
| And Then There Were Four... Posted: 5/11/2005 4:53:37 PM | | Carrie proved one thing for me last night. She can only do one kind of style. I knew as the competition grew, she was going to mess up. Last night proved it, but i think Anthony is gone tonight and depending on how well Carrie does, next week, she is in jeopardy of going home. But i think she will be in final two, Simon will make sure of it. Or somebody will, they always do. | |
|
| The Prophecy.. Posted: 5/12/2005 7:20:56 AM | And the prophecy takes one step closer to being fulfilled. As I predicted, the final 2 will either be a Carrie/Vonzell or Bo/Vonzell combo. Does the audience REALLY have any power in voting? Will Fox have a say in who goes on to the final 2? It's gonna be close. I think Fox will be watching VERY closely at next week's performance. These 3 REALLY have to pick the RIGHT songs and be DEAD ON!
With BO's standing ovation and strong performance, he's looking bigger than ever. Carrie and Vonzell are both standing on shaky ground, but Vonzell came out better with a strong punch in the 2nd song. If she can pull in 2 strong performances next week, it's gonna be a toss up between Carrie and Bo.
For now, I'm sticking with the Carrie/Vonzell combo because, bang for the buck, having Carrie as a winner and Vonzell as a runner up gives Fox the 1-2 combo for record sales. Carrie with her Kelly Clarkson like appeal, and Vonzell with a possible Clay Aiken like record drive in the R&B market. But Idol has never had a "rocker" winner and they have no idea what type of record sales this guy Bo can draw in. If you see a Bo/Vonzell combo, look for Fox's gamble on Bo to appease viewers after the whole Paula fiasco, and to try to get their Idol footprint among the rocker faithful.
Next week will be THE show to watch.
|
| The Prophecy.. Posted: 5/12/2005 8:57:01 AM | i am going to go with carrie and bo. in my opinion it should be vonzell and bo, but i think fox and simon have way to much invested in carrie for her not to be in the final two. it kind of sucks having judges because the judges persuade the audience a lot in voting.
i didn't like this season at first but tuesdays performances got me interested. it should be a classic finale this season and will live up to the hype, unlike last years where you knew before hand who the winner was going to be.
