For one thing, the ones who say they were going for hours and hours, 4-5 and all is bull, plain and simple...unless their u know what is numb, and the guy has problems with finishing, or one or the other is butt ugly that the other isn't getting tured on than there is a serious problem lol.....cuz.....unless there is alot of foreplay, kissing, touching, teasing, playfulness, than yea I can see it lasting for like 3 hours, that is how I am overall...but that actual sex istelf for 3 hours, unless the guy is made of rubber your body will wear down from all the movement period lol.....u don't do any form of exercise for 3+ hours with constant moving! lol....To me, someone lasting that long is not into it mentally or physically, and is waiting for something to put them over the edge, or YOU ARE JUST PLAINLY NOT DOING YOUR JOB!

Posted: 7/19/2006 7:03:23 AM | Perhaps it's not so important how long it takes, but that the partners take care to coordinate their efforts so to speak so that it lasts about the same amount of time for both of them!
If as the previous posts says, it takes just a few minutes for men and 10-20 min for women to reach orgasm, then it's not so much about how long each of them goes, rather that they both get their satisfaction at some point during the session.

But if your intention is to prolong intercourse, you can move accordingly to avoid reaching orgasm, and stay hard for a long time. It's more fun to just go for it. Sometimes it's nice to have a marathon session because women get trembly and sweet after a few orgasms.
A mistake women make is to want both at the same time, that is, to go for a long time but also impulsively and without regard for the man's need to control what happens. You have to choose one or the other in most cases. If you want it to last a long time, lay back and let the man do what he does. There are many factors, believe it or not, that contribute to the duration of intercourse prior to orgasm.
Fatigue, amount of time since the last lovemaking session, illness, medications, is she a partipicant or does she just lay there, is she letting him know she's enjoying the lovemaking, many, many different things. But, it can also be very different from session to session. For me the shortest was about 5 minutes and the longest was over 2 hours. Different, er, strokes for different folks, so to speak.
There are ways a guy can pace himself. Many use something to distract themselves as they feel the orgasm building. Some recite the multiplication table, or think of something else so they can last and satisify their partner.
There is really no definite answer as all men are different.
But, as always, that's just my opinion.

Don't go for two minutes, go for her satisfaction.

She's right. The guys just lie about duration as well as size. The researches show less than 5 minutes.
Wow so much negativity on what should be a happier topic...
I didn't realize so many people were keeping track of the intercourse to petting/licking and other stimuli ratio. I don't differentiate between intercourse and other fun stuff to do to a woman, in fact i often change up between intercourse and cunnilingus to make sure the woman i'm with gets thoroughly satisfied during whatever sexual expedition we are enjoying. It makes it more enjoyable for both of us and she gets more orgasms, now that's something i understand trying to keep track of, although with women its so darn difficult because after a while most start getting those multiple orgasms. I usually only keep track of that last really BIG orgasm, you know after all the small ones that were created from other such stuff, but that last one is attained by clitoral stimulation... you know the one.
