Guess there was an error or something and after I signed up for the event they gave me my confirmation email and it said, 'your ID number is '. I had a blast and met some nice people there. And, amazingly, I had one match. Woo! Hoo! Also, I had kept a list of those I'd said yes to along with their name, number and POF name (if they offered it), so I was able to locate my one match...so I sent him a nice email saying hello. That was over a week ago. He read the email the day after I sent it. But no response at all ! Oh well...so much for that match. But it was an experience never to be forgotten. | |

On my very first date I talked to this wonderful gentlemen for at least an hour until the whole event was ready to start. I put yes for him and he showed me that he put yes for me. When I got the matches from Kris, there wasn't one for my first date. I checked with Kris and she said that the guy did not hand in his sheet. I have looked very carefully for my hamilton guy but can not find him on POF. He had dark hair, blue dress shirt and black dress pants. I think he was in Computer stuff. He is also a few extra pounds, but very good looking. I think his age was 25-35.
If you remember this guy, please feel free to forward any information to me. Thanks for your help!

Guinness loves to hear stories so pour em on -- update us .. a month after the event we need to know how things are going !!
I will keep this up until Wednesday so if you could please post things ASAP that would be great .. On WEdnesday im hoping to print this off and have obtained the neccessary photos by than to send this off for confirmation !!

Great event as I have said before to Kris. Given the size of the task that was undertaken, the fact that it was all staffed by volunteers, and the obvious difficulty of organizing that number of people, I think it went well.
I can only speak for myself, but I went in with NO expectations to meet the man of my dreams, only to experience the event and have fun in the process. I met some great people, some very interesting people, and would do it again in a heartbeat.
I think that Kris would agree that a slightly more streamlined registration process might have alleviated some of the 'no show' problems, I think someone suggested prepaying as a way to avoid people not showing up. I would have happily paid on my credit card or through paypal or cheque in advance, to secure my position, and this would have allowed the organizers to have all my information electronically and would have negated the need for me to write it down manually at the event. Everything is better organized in hindsight right?
Again, in all, a great event and I am glad that I attended!
(da69devil...I am still patiently waiting for your web addy to view all those pics...there was one you took that I would like!)

For whatever reason the photographer wont turn over the pics of the night ...After many many attempts im getting no response so ..................
Without the pics -- we dont have the record ..
I need anyone .. anyone at all who took pics that night to message me ASAP as i have been sitting here on this package for over a month waiting for the promised pics to come ..
Without more pics we dont have the amount requested .,..
So PLEASE if anyone has ANY that i dont already have please mssg me so i can get those from you ..
I would HATE to not be able to send in our record application because of lack of pictures ......

NOTHING was promised -- we talked about alot and if you READ everything you were wwell aware there were hundreds of things that had to take place in order for the record to be successful NOT just people showing up ...........
but -- one of the jobs was pictures
its a requirement of Guinness -- I, BIGFISH and the rest of the organizers have completed our parts of the requirements ........
and thank you to the dozen or so people who have forwarded me their pics ...
Looks like i have enough ... but .. the more the merrier ,... so if anyone has any more left please forward them over to me ...
And for the record.. I CAN NOT CONTROL OTHER PEOPLES ACTIONS -- if THey promised something and THEY didnt come through it in no way shape or form reflects on me .. except maybe lack of character judgement ..
