I am finally moving after 2 Parties in a row and remembering all the FANTASTIC PEOPLE I got to meet. You all are what makes these Parties and meetings so great! You are a great School of fish and I can't wait till the next one!
Congratulations on making the Record POFfers - you all deserve it after the effort you put into it!

Posted: 7/23/2006 2:57:27 PM | It would have been a lot better if I wasn't put in the over 40 section. I tried to get out, but the lady said it was a mixed group. Clearly, it wasn't when I got " oh your cute, you'd be pefect for my daughter". I tried to make the best of it, and had some good conversation w/ the ladies but we were clearly wasting each others time.
Overall it was an interesting experience. I just wish I spent more time w/ the girls in their 20s and early 30s. By the time I switched my position, the event was over.
It was nice to meet you all, and for next time a clear age divider should be set.  | |

Trust me look at the mothers first. If you like them and they like you, you will come out ahead when you meet their daughters. Plus you get to see what what she is going to look like in 25 years.
I marred 1 woman and got 3 mothers-in-law as part of the bargain.
Two of them - I really liked, the third?. . . .!

Posted: 7/23/2006 3:25:54 PM | Agree with a few of you. Overall I made the best of the situation & was fun being a part of it. However, I the entire time, I only had 3 men in my age range 43. I met every 20-60 yr. old there. Had, my eye on a few gents, but just couldn't find them after. Would I do it again, only if it was age range, I was getting tired of talking to the 20 yrs olds.
And, omg, What do I do for a living? Don't ask me that ever again, lol. | |

I did have a very nice time, it was a shame about the age groupings, but...we survived,,, most of the young guys handled it with class and humor,,,, way to go guys!
Some of the guys that I met and would have loved to have talked to later,,, well just could not find 'em.

I myself am just getting my voice back after greeting everyone at the door lol great times and got to meet lots of people as well.
Awsome dance afterwards and not a bad selection of music either. not my preference but not bad!
be sure to sign up for more events all :) i know i will be.

It ended up being alot of fun, and i did get to meet some very nice men and women. I actually had to sit in for a gentleman, and the guy next to me, looked at me and said."omg,, your a lesbian".. let me fix that... bit my neck and reformed me... Too funny! Thanks for bringing me back to the way it REALLY IS.....you had me laughing soo hard!
Cannot remember your name, sorry, but you really are great! I think he had a few ladies laughing from what i saw!
I think for those who ended up in the wrong section, are great sports for still doing this. You have to look at it this way....you probably just experienced something that you might not ever get the opportunity to do again.....and make history in the process! Thanks for sticking it out with the rest of us! shows spirit if you ask me!
Thanks to Kris for all her efforts..and for the all peeps who were there all afternoon, putting in their time, and hard work to make this event go off as it did!
An event this size, takes alot of hard work, commitment, planning, and pulling it off and Man, Kris you and your group did an amazing job......CONGRATS ON THE ENGAGEMENT to you both!
Hope to meet alot of you again soon...and maybe if i'm lucky...i'll see you out in Brampton on the 12th Kris.....this time, as a guest...not an organizer...just come and have a great time!

I was in the over 40 crowd and I got to meet alot of amazing 20 year olds with very positive attitudes. I enjoyed meeting them. I wouldn't date them, but each and every person I met I tried to learn from regardless of their age. And now alot of people know where KESWICK is! It was worth the drive to Hamilton. | |

PS........I sat for a few guys too.......I tell you all now, NO I DO NOT SWING THAT WAY.......lol........the girls were pretty brutal for a bit, and finally I looked at them and said dont worry, I am not here to pick you up.....just letting u get some air.......so BREATH........lol
And to the younguns........wow.........It was like a job interview for many of you....too the young ladies that stayed.......you sure did get the pick of the litter.....so many really witty and smart men in your age group.......I was one of them shopping for my daughter, and after the event, she was telling me which ones she picked for me, and I was sharing which ones I had lined up for her........too funny of a mother daughter experience.......good thing we live sooooooooo far away in Barrie........LOL.......
It really was quite a night to remember.....thanks again to all organizers and participants.....oh the MEMORIESSSSSSSSSs........

I would like to say a special thanks to three very special ladies that made my night very memorable. Night Nurse, thanks for the ride and the dances. You are awsome. PaleButterfly, thanks for the dances and just for being cool to hang with. And especially to Speedball Metalqueen. I wanted to thank you for making my night especially fun. Thank you for an awesome evening. I am really glad you decided to attend after all.
I am a bit curious though about how and when we will be notified of our matches. Does anybody know? It will be interesting to see how we did.

I think Nedly had some good advice and the right attitude when he wrote to the younger guys:

Match or not, I tried to share good will and learn something on every date. All the women I met were kind and open, and so I enjoyed a very good first speed dating experience.
I look forward to reading more positive comments, and maybe even learning about some happy beginnings.
