| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/5/2005 8:09:58 PM | I understand Dance ... being young and attractive can have it's drawbacks. Beauty opens many doors ... but it can also invite attention from those less desirable.
I don't know anything about that site you mentioned (Lava-somethin) ... but if they don't have any preference controls, maybe you could slip something into their suggestion box. (assuming they have one).
Better yet, check out of that hotel and come stay with us at POF. The kitchens always open ... and our lobby has a Continental Breakfast Bar? ... see you at 7:00am
"oh" ... by the way ... I noticed I'm taller than you ... does that mean I'm in ... or you gonna slam the door on my foot?
...................
... Hey jennifer (aka jannick) ... ok, back on topic now.

| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/6/2005 6:14:02 AM | Us guys complain when we have an empty email box...the ladies complain when they have a full one. Can't win 'em all, eh? lol
Though, I can understand the older men are a bit wierd in contacting a woman 20 years younger than they are, but perhaps the height thing can be over look, with me Danceinpants height (on equal ht. lol)

| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/6/2005 7:40:20 PM | I don't complain when my inbox is flooded with messages and I don't complain when it's empty either. That's just the way that goes. What I do complain about -
People that delete your message without even reading it.
Like most of you, I want someone of similar body type and age so I won't elaborate on that.
I hate the emails from ladies that want to fall in love and settle down - Hey, my profile clearly either says JUST FRIENDS or DATING. But that's right. I figured it out, the words usually don't get read. Just the pics.
I concur with the irritation of Nigerian or Filipino women. WTF?
Anyway, I could keep going, but I think we get the point.

Wonder what it is about your profile that gets the "über-moms" wearing helmets interested in you? I mean, I read your profile and you give no indication that that sort of life appeals to you! Any idea why these women are after you?
|
| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/6/2005 8:34:47 PM | neverbeenlaid, I've never e-mailed you before, but if I may say, in public: "YOUR PROFILE IS SO FUNNY!'
I'm not sure about the illustration of your first date, however. The probability of *that* happening seem pretty slim unless you first stop by your ATM, get some money, and then take a ride down the boulevard.
As for your pics... hun, you went from a slightly dorky sort of guy, to a seriously dorky sort of guy, to a near-nudist. That's some change, baby!
Concerning the girl who keeps accusing you of being her stalker.. well? Are you?
Good luck and don't give up hope. One day you will get laid. In the meantime, do you have your condom in your pocket all ready to go?
Sinceramente,
Sarita | |

As well, I get a fair ammount of messages from gals abroad...Asia, Africa, Europe. I even had the same Scam "Im a girl from Russia..." thing.

| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/6/2005 9:13:30 PM | MESSAGES?!?!?!?!?
You get messages? Really?
Wonder what I am doing wrong?
I have on my profile SINGLE and always the married reply. So I made a change to my profile and have defined the word single for those who are conceptually challenged.

| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/6/2005 9:40:32 PM | Some people just don't get the hint.
As for messages, I think if I compared the ammount of one's I've sent out (on this and every other site I've been on) as compared to what I've recieved, the recieved one's would barely register. The ratio would be like 10 000 000 000: 40

I have absolutely, positively no idea. The über-mom e-mail is really encountered on match.com (there are very few women in my area on POF). My profile there is more ot less the same as here, photos and all. There's a lot of women with children on Match, but I get the short and layered-haired soccer moms. It leave me scratching my head.
Some twentysomething women in this thread have complained that men who are much older than they are flood their mailbox. The über-moms that write me aren't really older than me in age, but it seems like their attitude, mindset and lifestyle resembles someone in their late 40s or early 50s; they just _seem_ much older. Not to sound like a cliche, but I'm 39 going on 30. Dating an über-mom -- as opposed to a single mom -- to me seems oedipan, and thus a bit creepy.
(BTW, I don't pursue women tho are more than five or six years younger than me. I know they don't want me, so why bother?)

Wierd, Cinder...I guess this falls into that "Persistence Pays off" thread. Though some of those lovely pictures of your bosoms probably might be worth the persistence...hehe.
The guy is taking a risk at being a pain in the ass with a woman, though you have this "online buffer", if he had called and left the same amount of messages on your answering machine...would you block him or seek the local authorities?
My luck, I would get in trouble...lol.
However, I heard "tips" for online dating, that a guy should email the same woman more than once, because if she gets alot of email, that familiarity is the key, that if he does it more than once, he'll be noticed, and not deleted.

| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/7/2005 1:16:43 PM | K_Wguy,
Leave Svetlana and Tatyana alone...they contact me all the time. Now, I just tell Boris that its too far or delete. Once I let him/her talk to see how long it would take to ask for money. Five form letters and increasingly suggestive photos later Tat asked me to send $350 so she could get her papers come to the US and make love with me. This after not answering one question I asked. I said that $350 wasn't nearly enough, and asked if $2000 would help so she could do some shopping first. He/She got the message.
Too bad, I am sure that there are some sincere Russian ladies. I'm not usually like that.

| people you are tired of getting messages from Posted: 3/7/2005 2:30:26 PM | I hate getting emails from men, where upon first contact they proclaim their love for me, give me their home phone, cell phone #, email address and practically directions to their house. It's like they may as well give me their blood type while they are at it. Then there are the men who say they will buy me a plane ticket and spoil me Then there are the men who write me telling me how they will train me to be submissive Then there are the emails that ask questions like "age and location" ummm did you even read my profile buddy! Getting messages like "hi", ummm what is this like Tag and I am it now. Men who write me erotica literature I get tons of mail from women which is flattering but I say I am looking for a man, do they think I can be turned? Foreign men who type in broken English sh*tlike, "I see you, say my soulmate will touch your heart make happy for marriage feel we are one spirit I know when see profile you me to have" Then last but not least the Mass emails, the ones I can tell have been copy and pasted on and sent to every woman on here Im sure I have more Pet peeves! | |
