| Would you Prefer Comedy clubs or Movies on the First date?
Posted: 11/30/2006 1:17:09 PM | | Never been to a comdey club so I'd stick to my comfort zone and say a movie. There's previews to learn likes/dislikes and at the end there's an opinion plus there's the slow motion walk exiting so a few words can be said then. Isn't the point of the movie to spend a little time together, get the feel, not the whole personality in one shot? I dunno, just my opinion. | |

I'm not going to sit with someone I just met and not know who they are for the next 2 1/2 hours! I'm not that crazy! | |

I mean movies are so cliche' now. and comedy clubs you can't really talk or the comedian will target you. I think a perfect first date is a place you and your date can just chill out and feel each other out if to see if you want to go on that 2nd date or not. | |

Posted: 12/25/2008 4:55:25 PM | I'd say.. something more. intimate isn't quite the right word.. but.. in Tulsa.. at least there was a good.. local pub/bar called Shary's.. they had pool.. tables.. you could bring cards.. darts.. maybe some light drinkig..
I HATE the idea of trying to get to know someone.. but of the two.. I'd say the comedy club would be the better choice.. and a bit more intimate than a crowded theater.
personally.. I'd prefer.. just going to the zoo.. or.. maybe raiding a coffeebar.. then heading over to.. Borders or something.. just going through the books.. something that.. you can kind of get a handle on the person.. heck.. even if you get along well enough.. just wandering into a Blockbuster and just going through the movies together could be FUN.. and if you hit it off maybe you could end up at one or the other's place with a movie..

At a comedy club, you get to laugh!! See a show and also see what your date finds amusing. Also between comics, you can discuss with your date what you like or didn't like about the act. | |

For a very first date it should be somewhere the two of them can talk. Of the two choices given a comedy club would be the best. For a very first "date", (not talking about the first meeting), I would prefer a simple meal out. Nothing fancy though.
Movies and comedy clubs can come after that. | |
