| What is your favorite movie Posted: 7/24/2006 8:29:58 PM | My favorite flicks are:
1) Slap Shot- The original hockey movie from 1977, it has been rumored for many years that the movie is based on the hockey career of John Brophy who coached the Nova Scotia Voyagers and the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 80s
2) Shogun Assassin- Awesome sword fighting flick from 1980, it just came out on DVD this week.
3) Rocky- A sentimental favorite, new Rocky movie is out at Christmas!
4) Smokey & The Bandit- Flick made me wanna drive hella fast!
5) Napoleon Dynamite- What can i say? One hysterical flick that either people love or hate!

| What is your favorite movie Posted: 7/24/2006 8:39:27 PM | John Brophy from Antigonish? Doesn't he wish that he was immortalized on film, Still love putting Dune in the VCR and enjoying Sting. | |

| What is your favorite movie Posted: 7/26/2006 6:19:20 PM | Check these little known movies out...they are really great:
Robin and Marion- A movie about the last days, the 'old age' of Robin Hood, starring Sean Connery in his post Bond, pre comeback days. Robert Shaw plays the sherriff of Nottingham
My Favorite Year-Peter O'Toole in his last really good role. He plays a washed up, drunken swashbuckling movie hero, forced to make a live TV appearance on a 1950s variety show. Mark Lynn-Baker (of that Larry and Balkie show) is a dorky network intern assigned to keep him sober. Great Flic.
Cold Blooded-Very funny , quirky movie starring Jason Priestly as a very weird apprentice hitman who's very good at his job, because he's completely and utterly void of emotion. Which makes the love story part even funnier.
If you haven't seen it yet:
Amadeus- That's right, the life of Mozart! Even if you aren't a fan of his music, this is actually a great movie. Tom Hulse (Animal House) makes a great Mozart, and plays him as a 'rock star' of classical music...he's a riot.
My favorite movies: comedy-Animal House, Slap Shot, Clerks (the original...just saw #2, not so great), Four Weddings and a Funeral, City Slickers, Monty Pythons Search for the Holy Grail
Classics-Casablanca, North by Northwest, On the Waterfront
