So many good comedians over the years:
As a kid- Bill Cosby - "Noah"
Teen - Cheech and Chong - "Dave?... dave's not here."
70-80's TV/video - Bob Newhart, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, John Belushi, Gilda Radner ( ), heck most of the SNL cast, Eddie Murphy (RAW)... Steven Wright (his deadpan observations always got me).... oh and of course the Python troupe
Saw Howie Mandel at the Cohn around '85, ...man, my stomach hurt!, I think he had Andrew Dice Clay opening for him (before he got big).
Heck did anybody mentioned Jim Carrey. His early stand-up stuff was hilarious.
Somebody I find really funny also is Kevin Smith (Silent Bob). He did documentray/movie of a speaking tour he made to some of the Big US Colleges and he just talks about making movies, hollywood, etc. You don't have to be a fan of his movies to laugh your ass off. The guy is a great story teller.
And so many more depending on my mood. | |

Currently: Nikki Payne, Brent Butt, and others I recognize on sight but whose names escape me at the moment. I love watching Just for Laughs and Comedy Now. | |

I had a chance to see him in Winnipeg in the 80's but my ex wouldn't go to see him because he didn't know who he was,, the ex was from quebec.
So I was here one night and the ex was laughing very hard in the tv room. When I asked him what he was watching, it was Red Skelton videos I had. Go figure.
But I loved Lucy Ball, The Three Stooges,
I really enjoyed the older talent.

Posted: 2/7/2007 10:53:22 AM | growing up it was Eddie Murphy, The In Living Colour cast....James Carrey, Jamie Fox, Wayne's brothers and so on.
Now Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock and Russell Peters. Although it would be cool to bring back the old cast of In Living Color and see if they can still do it (a hour reunion show). Jim Carrey doing Vera or Fire Marshel Bill...Jamie Fox doing Wanda...it would be pretty cool. A lot of big stars came from that show it was where Jennifer Lopez was discovered. | |
