Not to mention if I drive with the windows down. KNOTS! I still haven't cut it. I'm attached to my flowing red locks, but still. I get why others are chopping it off. | |

People use to call me "cousin it" I would comb my hair straight down and put shades on. I just cut it about a year ago, why? Well it was time to grow up. My hair had weight, never enough to complain about it. It was hot, but nothing a pony tail could not take care of. Talking about working? Come on now, try working on your car, or at a machine shop with long hair. Here is what I hated, as I'm driving in my truck, I would sit on my hair and that would fu*king hurt sometimes. Posted: 7/25/2006 8:03:02 AM | Well I have too say I had long hair when I was younger then cut it off in my 20's and I will admit i would never cut my hair short again..........my hair has been long since my 30's its down too my lower back and its far easier too manage long than short............and I don't have too spend much time with it at all just wash and go............but of course my hair is straight and not as thick as it used too be but I would never cut it again.............long hair rawks.................... | |

Here in Fla where it is so hot and humid, it makes no sense for me to spend time on hair and makeup. Hair just falls flat and makeup melts off my face. | |

my hair is almost down to my hips and its corkscew curly...like curly fries lol...ppl are so envious i love it..all it takes is a few shakes with my fingers and bam holy ringlets!!!!
i had short hair through most of my teens it wasnt until i got into a car accident...lost a huge hunk of hair and had to grow it out.It got down to my chin and then shoulders i loved how it looked...and kept it going. Now 10 yrs later...my hair is down to my waist when its wet..buuutttt only dissadvantage is its very heavy... | |

I grew up with long hair, down to my knees at one time, and even I found it easier to take care of once I cut it up to my butt, lol. The reason I cut it in the first place? Although I love the looks of it, I have very thick hair, and it takes a lot to manage.
Just getting it completely soaked now (with it only a few inches past shoulders) takes nearly five minutes. Then shampoo and good rinse; about 7 minutes. Conditioner and really good rinse, another 10 minutes. I leave the towel on my head for about 10 minutes to absorb as much of the water as possible. I usually let it air dry unless I'm going out right away because blow drying takes about 15 minutes. That's a freakin' hour; just on hair!
On hot days, it's a total biatch-- so heavy and hot. meh.
So yeah, when I cut it short it's so much easier to manage, but I just love the looks of my long, straight hair. I also like having the option to do things like ponytails or braids. | |

My opinion is ladys long hair is sexy as hell, but its just hair, do your own thing. LOL | |

Smart, good character and physical chemistry, are far more important to a relationship.
Even for a quick roll around the sack the most important thing is a horny babe who enjoys a good roll around the sack.
Physical characteristics do count but only as a sideline and than as an overall package. Face, figure, makeup, lingerine, etc. Long hair is a sideline, on a sideline, on a sideline.
I do know that if long hair was some magic key to handsome princes then all the girls would have it.
Same as if flashy cars were some key to the best babes then all the guys would drive em. | |

If that means the boys woun't think I'm hot.. lol.. guess I'll just have to deal.. haha.
I've had it long, its not a matter of me not wanting to take care of it.. I just think right now, this cut feels more like me. If that makes sense. :)

Posted: 7/28/2006 5:28:58 AM | I agree that long hair is sexy. Shorter haircuts on women are a real big turn off for me, it's a major part of her femininity why chop it off. I've never met women with short hair who wouldn't look better with longer hair.
My personal likes aside, it seems to be a much more varied preference than height or weight. What's even more interesting is that it seems to be a cultural preference that society has imposed onto us, as opposed to a genetic preference. For example men are born with the knowledge that breasts = felinity and women are born with the knowledge that tallness = masculinity. However take something like a good tan and you will discover that it is implied by society that a tan is sexy. I think 100, 000 years ago humans of both genders would have had long hair therefore it wouldn't have been anymore of an advantage to either gender, long hair would have shown healthiness and physical maturity. | |

If a woman has not so perfect facial features and wear their hair long it tends to bring them out. which is why women tend to cut their hair shorter with age, because with age, comes wrinkles, sagging etc... plus even if women wanted to grow their hair out long, it's not as easy as it seems, most women this day in age colour their hair, and with colouring comes damage. and if your ends are damaged the only way to fix it is to cut it...and u cant just leave it because if u do breakage makes its way up...then u have a lovely head of straw. and that just sucks. plus i find alot of women will syle their hair more often if it's shorter, alot of women with long hair wont take the time to style it everyday. It's usually always thrown in a ponytail which to me just looks sloppy most of the time. | |

Posted: 7/28/2006 6:32:56 AM | When I take my hair out of the braid, it nearly reaches the back of my knees. I have to concur with what many have already said. Long hair is a lot of work. It takes me about 30 minutes just to brush it out every morning and re-braid it. If I take it out of the braid, it gets everywhere and I find myself getting tangled in it. As for washing it, that's an all weekend project. That being said, people have asked me if I plan to cut my hair anytime soon, and I have to say "no, I love my hair".  | |
