Posted: 7/28/2006 6:32:26 PM | Long hair is hot, sweaty, a pain in the butt to manage. It takes a long time to wash, dry, curl, iron, whatever. It's high maintenance.
I once had hair past the middle of my back.. and cut it to just about jaw length.. I've had it shoulder-length since then, but I keep cutting it short... it's just so much easier. | |

Posted: 7/28/2006 7:19:36 PM | I dunno. I just like my hair long. I'm past that "certain age" when women are dutifully supposed to cut their hair because it is no longer attractive to have it long. I disagree. I've had it long and I've had it short and I prefer it long. Short, wavy hair can be a total pain. In the summer I wear it up to be cool. In the winter I wear it down more. I french braid it when I want it out of the way...or pony tail...or bun...or french roll...there's just so many ways to wear it and many of them are lovely and elegant and I think well suited to a mature woman.
I love it that we are in a time of the world where people are not so concerned about the conventional wisdom and do what feels right for them. And I don't just mean hair. | |

Posted: 7/29/2006 10:04:11 AM | I've had every hair length and hair style. I've gone from waist length up to a boy's crew cut and all the way back down to my now current thigh length hair. It's all in what you are used to, and how much you "feel" you have to do to be ready to go out.
Short hair or long, I can get my teeth brushed, makeup on, hair fixed and be out the door in 5 minutes. However, years ago, that wasn't the case. (It used to take me hours to "get my face on" and my hair just so.) I finally decided that life was too short to spend all that time primping in a mirror and missing all the fun there was to be had outside. It sure made my boyfriends happier, too. | |

I would never, ever, EVERRRRRR have my hair long again - my short cut takes me about 15 minutes in the morning (blowdrying and straightening) and i basically never have a 'bad hair day.' And it works out alright because the "type" of guys i usually like typically likes short hair. | |

My hair is naturally curly, and as a teen, I had no idea how to tame it. It was frizzy, puffy, and ugly -- so I blew it straight every morning before school. It took me an hour, guaranteed, to manage it.
It was after high school when I was living abroad that I decided I couldn't be bothered straightening my hair daily, so I began experimenting.
My hair is now just past the middle of my back; it's layered, dark, and naturally curly. Now, my hair takes 10 minutes to blow dry and "style" -- and I almost always wear it down. Why not show it off? 
My sister, on the other hand, has "Cher" hair. It reaches her rear, straight, dark, and silky...Just gorgeous. | |

And i asked my fiancee what he wanted for his birthday acouple years ago and he said he would love if i grew my hair out again. At the time i i pregnant so i let it grow. And now looking back i wonder why i cut iit in the first place. I find it a lot easier now than when it was short. I used to take me 45 mins to do my hair before and now i just let it air dry or throw it up in a clip or ponytail. its all off my neck and it looks classy. | |

The sweat running down your back.....if you find a woman with all the qualities you want are you going to say know because she has short hair? IF I dumped all the men for the size of their penis....I would be A NUN!!! | |

Hard to explain why; I guess long hair seems girly or unsophisticated to me, and short hair looks more sophisticated, more adult. Irrational, I know, but that's just the way I feel. Or maybe I just think it's cuter. :-D | |

Posted: 7/30/2006 5:23:51 AM | I personally had long hair in my teens .But fact my hair is baby fine an straight i had issues lol winter static an summer flat .So now i go for the head scarfs in summer mostly as its easy an if got evening out i style it an its quick to do.While i may keep hair spray companys in business lol ,i like short because i style my hair for myself,not other people. I;m pleased if people like style ,but worlds not gonna end if they don;t. | |
