Posted: 12/22/2006 7:57:13 PM | i have long curly hair...sometimes men make woman cut our hair..my husband threatened to cut it while I was sleeping because 'married woman shouldnt have long hair"...actually I never cut it ...i think that sometimes our "stud muffins" are so insecure that they have us cut it so that others know we are "taken"...then again he was a cop and I think that was his tiny pp way of controlling me...and to anyone who has a husband that says this...run...then again he never liked my bigs boobs either...now he has a girlfriend with chin length hair and no boobs..who fits into the white bread mold he wanted....maybe he was just jealous and wanted all the male attention for himself....oh well what to do..all by myself with big boobs, long dark curly hair...independant and smart...life is rough....batter up | |

Posted: 12/22/2006 8:09:22 PM | I love long hair, always wanted it but my hair is thin and when it gets too long it doesn't look good, this is the longest I've had it in a very long time, I like it now and am going to try to grow it a little longer but if it starts to look stringy and flat, I won't keep growing it. You have to have really gorgeous hair, thick, healty etc. for it to look good long IMO and also, depending on the girls style, it can look bad, out of date, frumpy etc. It's just not for everyone.
I have seen some very gorgeous waist length hair styles on some lucky girls, usually they have a lot of body to their hair, very strong and thick hair and their personal style pulls it off. It's something I've always admired and wished for. I think it's beautiful on the right person. | |

Problem is, so are wives who decide later to cut their hair short when it was one of the primary reasons their husbands were initially attracted to them... maybe men should just devote more of their time and resources to mistresses with longer hair? After all, they need more help because they are dealing with oppressively long hairstyles that y'all are now free from! hahaha | |

Posted: 12/27/2006 2:24:13 PM | Well, I disagree that having longer hair is more trouble. Mine is to the middle of my back and it's not any more trouble than short hair. I wash it in the shower and then do the same thing I'd do if it were shorter. Plus, if I'm having a bad hair day, I CAN put it in a ponytail!
I really don't get why women get it cut as they get older.
It just makes them look like old ladies, in my opinion.
Movie stars don't do it...usually. Look at some of the older actresses like Goldie Hawn, Farrah Fawcett, Jacklyn Smith, Joan Collins, Susan Lucci, All the "Desperate Housewives" cast!
They're not doing it for the men, they are doing it because they want to look thier best!
They want to be sexy! Longer hair makes me feel more sexy and feminine.
Of course, I don't like men with really short hair either! | |

I had long hair, past my shoulders. It was a lot of work even at that length. Granted for the job I had I had it pulled back, but I still took very good care of it. You ladies haven't had to go to a job interview for a really good job and had that look of "Damn Dirty Hippie". I could have a Yale degree and I would still not be hired. The 50s mentality is still prevailent in this world.
And if you can pull off short hair and look and feel good in it, more power to ya. | |

I have had plenty of hair styles and i simply prefer my hair longer, maybe cause no one does it anymore and it suites me best!

Posted: 12/27/2006 4:14:38 PM | My hair is long, thick, curly and usually pulled back. It's a PITA and always gets tangled in my headset at work. If I didn't get an instant afro when it's short, I'd KEEP it short!
I agree with the poster who said it's hot, heavy and gives you headaches.....but I suffer.
Every 18months I get 10 inhes hacked off for Locks of Love and then it is about shoulder length. My hair grows VERY fast. | |
