Posted: 12/27/2006 5:50:11 PM | Ever go out to breakfast and somebody walks in with morning hair? well it's always someone with "short hair".
Having long hair is so much easier. If it's hot or in your way....you put it up, and if your running late and can't wash it....it still looks good.
I think hair add's a youthful appearance.....look at Sharon Stone. She is hot with her hair short, but when it's long, she looks so much younger.  | |

Posted: 12/28/2006 3:05:01 PM | i had my hair trimmed TRIMMED 2 weeks ago when i went in for streaks. My hair when wet is down to my bum too. My hair is long thick and corkscrew curly.
The hairdresser I swear marveled at it and then started to gush "it would look so good if i cut it like this...add some layers here and here." UMMM YAHH fuk that. Once its dry it will lay on my shoulders...no way hose!!! I love my long curly kinkly hair!! My hubby absoloutely loves my hair and will break her neck if she cut it lol...
So... I only trimmed 2 inches tops. The streaks look dam good though... (coppper red ) | |

Alhtough I do have to agree with your noters, just as what is veiwed as sexy to one person may not be sexy for another, so to is the long hair thing.....I have short hair and I love it ~you can be sexy in many other ways than just long hair ((winks))

Posted: 12/30/2006 12:58:06 AM | I'll probably get blasted for this, but it's what I think and my experience so here goes....
1. If you polled most guys, I would bet (if they are answering honestly) 80-85% prefer long hair on a woman.
2. Maybe it's me, but it seems that most women, whether for the sake of convenience or whatever, cut their hair shortly after either getting married or having kids.
3. No, a woman cutting her hair is NOT grounds for an affair guys---nothing is if you ask me---but if you tell a guy you got your hair cut and he can't see you when you tell him (over the phone or through a closed door perhaps) the first words out of his mouth will be "how short did you get it cut?" or words to that effect.
4. Not all woman look good--or as good--with short hair compared to long. Hairdressers are SUPPOSED to know what hairstyle suits the shape of your face, but all too often (a) they are dying to try a new cut they were shown by someone the salon brought in to teach them the 'latest trend in Europe' or wherever or (b) they are trying more to please the client and will do whatever they want, whether it suits that client's face shape or not. For the record, before you call me sexist, not all guys can or should try and pull off the Fabio-length hair either.
5. Lastly, imagine how many women you've ever seen rated as "The Sexiest" who had short hair? Ok, now discount the ones from the late 60's & 70's when short haircuts were "in". How many have long, flowing hair? Sorry ladies, it's an image perpetuated by the media as well as history.
For the record, no I'm not even close to gay, nor a hairdresser, but dated someone going through school who was the guinea pig for some "guest hairstylist" who butchered her hair to teach the rest of the class a new cut. It was dating her wherre I learned about the relation of haircuts to face shapes, etc. I also have nieces whose hair varies from long and gorgeous to short and manageable (their mom, my sister, handles it--and not well often times). I recognize that for some women whose hair is thick & perhaps wavey that longer may equal harder to handle. I also know women who handle it easily once they get the hang of it. Lately I have been surprised by total strangers just coming up to me and touching my hair saying that it looks good. I had my hair short for years but having long hair is easier to manage. As a teenager my hair was pretty much to my waist; cut it when my first child was born cause the baby kept pulling it and I've regreted it ever since! I keep saying I'm growing my hair back down to my waist - and by the time it gets there I might actually HAVE one! 
Most guys I know think Jamie Lee Curtis is pretty hot and her hair's been short for years. I think the shape of your head and the type of hair you have should be the biggest factors in how you wear you hair - I remember seeing Crystal Gayle in concert when she had hair past her knees and she looked ridiculous. Very fine hair just looks DUMB when it's really long.
My mom's been telling me for the last 20 years that I'm too old to wear my hair past my shoulders. Doesn't that also mean I'm too old to let my mother tell me how to wear my hair? 
Never had anybody sit on my hair, like one poster, but I did have my hair catch fire from a long candle on my birthday cake in a restaurant one time. And of course I've my hair get pulled by accident during sex - but I still remember the night nearly 20 years ago that my late best friend brushed my hair while we were curled up in front of the fire. I don't care about fancy dinners or any of that but brush my hair and I'm YOURS.

So long hair on me is not sexy in my opinion- if I feel ugly and drab I'm not sexy :) Now that my hair is short I feel more self-confident and sexier and like what I see in the mirror- I think therefore I am :)

I like long hair on women, yea it is nice. But it is the woman not the hair.
I am loosing some hair now, and an X called me on it (razzing me) i told her, it is solar pannels for the love machine!
She shaved her head next week, we are still buddies, but i liked the long hair!!!

Posted: 8/11/2007 4:09:54 PM | When my younger sister got married a few weeks ago I was thrilled to be able to have my hair in a French braid. Looked really elegant, and it was out of my face so it was really cool (literally, as in NOT HOT). Glad I decided not to cut it instead!
I think the biggest consideration has to be how thick or thin the woman's hair is. I can still remember seeing Crystal Gayle in concert years ago. Her hair was really thin and fine and down to her ANKLES. She looked ridiculous, imho. My hair is really thick and grows really fast (a problem with those darn grey roots...lol) so it looks great long. As it turns out, I also look great with really SHORT hair (I've had it shaved with clippers several summers running - it was less than an inch long all over).
Lillian Gish wore her hair looooooong until she died. In her last movie she did this near thing where she twisted it into a bun and it just STAYED there - wish mine was that well trained! | |

Posted: 8/11/2007 7:42:17 PM | Hmmm cant answer for others but I have always had long hair. When I was a kid it was just past my ass and then to the middle of my back. Now its just past my shoulders. My dad was the same way he never let me cut my hair he felt women should have long hair.
I personally feel the same..and i have no troubles keeping mine up its easy and guys like to play with it ;)..However it is really hot in summer and...does take longer in the shower.. | |
