| Judging a relationship based on sun signs? Posted: 10/5/2007 2:52:15 AM | It's just one more tool, that is imperfect as most tools are....use it, don't whatever you want to do.
But instead of looking for a reason not to date, why not try finding a reason TOO date. You would have more dates...
Other tools similiar to sun signs: body language; NLP; gym users; church goers; beach goers; surfers; scuba divers; etc... It's all relative.

| Judging a relationship based on sun signs? Posted: 10/5/2007 4:24:35 AM | | I dont think star signs should be relied on 100% of the time to tell if you are compatable with someone, the one true way is to get to know each other as that is the way a stable relationship is built | |

| Judging a relationship based on sun signs? Posted: 10/5/2007 9:47:22 AM | got rejected from a lady who believed capricorn should not be in a relationship with Aries. How accurately would you believe in sun signs to determine the future of relationships. Does this mean being an Aries man, I should prefer women of Sagittarius,Leo,Gemini and Aquarius. I realize that I have a lot of similarities in the qualities an Aries man is supposed to have. Astrology is superstition. Every personality type is scattered over every star sign, and every sign has every personality type you can imagine. The descriptions of each sign are very simple and general, so as to apply to a small aspect of just about anyone, giving the illusion of applying to you. I have found aspects of myself described in every sign, and the aspects I would consider dominant aren't even in my sign. I think most people would notice the same thing if they really looked. Astrology is just yet another way ancient people tried to provide a mystical explanation for things they didn't understand.
The sad truth is, most people have trouble getting along with others in a close way, and astrology provides a convenient excuse for why, instead of making people look at their own attitudes and actions as the source of their problems. It gives people a reason why they shouldn't work at it. In that way, I think astrology does more harm than good.

| Judging a relationship based on sun signs? Posted: 10/5/2007 12:19:02 PM | I dunno about all that, for starters how can a bunch of people born in the same given span of dates behave the same way? Odds are COINCIDENCE that some might...hmm. I also read once at a library (many years ago) that my sign's saying was "up your's"then I saw down below that it was the ZANY zodiac listings. Oddly, that time I enjoyed it all. I can't recall the entire listing now but I almost got told to leave the library for making too much noise when I was there and laughing aloud about it with a friend. I happen to think the input here on mooning someone sounds the best so far on this. | |

you need to take into account rising sign and where your moon is. these indicators are as important as the sun sign. you really can't tell a whole lot without knowing those.
junipermoon,
Most people in my age group doesn't know their exact time of birth, because the time of birth was not put on the birth certificate back then. From what I understand the rising sign changes constantly every hour in a given day. So, how would these people know what their rising sign is unless their parents knew exactly what time they were born?
According to my Mom and a picture taken right after I was born it shows the appox. time. If this is the case then I am Scorpio with Virgo rising and a Capricorn Moon. However, my Mom is not totally sure about the exact time I was born. How do I go about finding out for sure? Any ideas?

Actully it doesn 't matter what day you are born...it matters when you were CONCEIVED and usually are born 10 lunar mo. or 180 days later....this does matter! And the astrological charts are "adjusted" to make this adjustment...so if you were the result of some traumatic even, your astrological chart would be best read acording to when you should have been born...and the influences of the alignment of the planets at your conception.
FRANtastic,
I have never heard of this before. I would be very interested where you have read this.

| Judging a relationship based on sun signs? Posted: 10/5/2007 10:31:15 PM | WEll my out look is this. Astrology isn't as accurate as i would like it to be. As an Aries myself i'm not supposed to be compatible with pisces, but i have found some that i was And unfortunately the last pisces i was With Truely Was an epitome of the sign, as she was 2 people in one. But now i find it much more enjoyable being with another Aries. yes some of the Qualities of the same sign are incompatible enough to possibly make a relationship last, But.......... Bottom line it's the two people involved and how commited they are to have a fullfilling life together and Working For the same goals for that future. Sadly, Not everyone has enough passion or society has just plainly become Too Da*n Picky To be successful at it. As you know, Aries get bored Quickly, But i find that an Assest, as it gives me more of a reason within myself and my determination to have a lasting relationship, when i Do take those Vows of marriage.
So to answer your question, No i don't put alot of value in the sun sign Chioces to make a lifetime decision based on that alone.
Just my 2 pence | |

I think her comment was culturally biased. Seems to fit what I know of the Chinese culture and I have quite a few oriental friends going back for many years.
Hope you just stay true to whom you are. Seems to be the safest, sanest course to follow.
All the best n be the best you can be. Ciao Bella!!!... Joe

| Judging a relationship based on sun signs? Posted: 9/9/2008 6:19:34 PM | " I got rejected from a lady who believed capricorn should not be in a relationship with Aries."
actually, aries and capricorn are squared signs... squares create the most difficulties in relationships.
natal/sun signs = a persons' nature. accendant/rising signs = how they are percieved moon signs=who/the type of personality they are attracted to mercury=how they think venus=how they veiw love/relationships mars=what motivates them
i could go on, but I won't. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in cause us flaky Libras love a good argument.
