Posted: 3/29/2008 9:57:25 PM | I am a 35 yr old single parent here in Walker,LA which is roughly 18 miles or so east of Baton Rouge for anyone who doesn't know the location. I have my son every other week and I am truly blessed to have a nice "post marriage" relationship w/ his mom,my ex. We never ever switch weeks we just go w/ the flow when either of us have him. Too bad we didn't have that communication while we were married lol. Anyway,nice to meet you all.  | |

I have 2 teenagers (16 & 14) and an 8 month old baby girl who amazes me everyday. Well all of my children amaze me. They are my world. Im going through a seperation from my husband and waiting on the divorce finalization. I forgot how hard it is to start all over. Especially when you have children to think of. Just here looking for friends with some common interests to get to know and perhaps share time with. I carry no baggage. I dealt with that and put it behind me already. I realized it was his loss not mine and have started moving on. I work full time and spend alot of time with my kids but I'm in need of some adult interaction (I did not say sex). Just good conversation would be a great start. I live in the Lake Charles area so if anyone out there is in my area and would like to chat just get in touch. | |

but remember, that is not a way to meet men... and boy scouting does not replace not having a dad around. As I would have hoped. Mentors, maybe, But still a good place
for a boy to learn and do things.
And you ladies are right, Adult men shy away from a single parent... they don't know what they are missing , right ladies?

Posted: 7/14/2008 5:26:23 PM | Your right bearynicehugs but i guess it's because we end up meeting the NON mature men or maybe just men who rather not have to deal with an "mom" when they have no kids and never experienced life with an kid, who knows but there are some still out there but then again it is no big deal were someday meet an wonderful man and who does not think of children as "baggage".
